We once cut the maize into small tracked dumpers, they tipped it at the side of the field and an excavator loaded the silage trailers. No ruts in the field and no mud on the road. 😊 Also, the contractors here put up roadsigns near the field they are working on to warn about slippers roads. But they also clean while working the field
I remember harvesting Maize for direct feeding in the late 70's with a JF trailed chopper. It was so wet we had a Zetor 8011 4WD pulling another Zetor 8011 DWD towing the chopper and a 574 towing a 3 ton trailer. Never seemed to stop raining. The mud was biblical - if you can use that as a metaphor. Only 4 loads per day straight into the big shed mangers via a Kidd feeder.
Richard thanks so much for your video, Can I just say I have subscribed to Haz channel lovely little man ❤ trying to take after his dad 😊 love and respect to all of your family 👪 Haza amazing 👏
Good morning Richard, Do not look the best of days still it must come in nice to see you have a brush to clean the road not a lot off farmers do that this way in Norfolk, Well our Richard I hope all go well for you see you in the next part, Take care of yourself and stay safe. 🐄🐄🚜⭐️👍👌.
Morning Richard seen the same video it's very hard this year re the mud on the roads but unfortunately the townie's are all in such a hurry they are not aware of the road conditions this time of year
A maze ing video Richard 😊.. nice seeing you getting that in the shed.. will you be sending one od the boys out with chain harrows over that grass once the cows are off... it would help it no end.. stay safe 🏴
Hi Richard, great video! What does Maize harvest cost you in contractor fees? All that kit and knowledge can’t come cheap ! Makes a pint of milk look cheap don’t it!
Most farmers either don't give a hoot or can't be bothered,or the expence of cleaning the road. Never seen that brush before but fair play for being considerate to others Rich.
That's the whole point👌 You need to spread it out in thin layers compacting it as you go. A bucket would just push and deposit a big lump making it impossible to compact properly.
Don’t know what it is sir , but from some angles you look like Shawn Pomrenke from Discovery Channel program called Gold Divers …. Keep up the good work 1st time I’ve tuned into your channel ….
i've always heard that if you put signs out on the road warning people of mud on road / slippery surface etc then if someone does have a accident they can't blame you cos they have been warned.........got to protect yourselves these days........everyone always looking for someone to blame
Richard 30 years ago folks had a lot more common sense. And a bit more. Courtesy to others. And now. They think they are always right even when they are wrong
Farming become more difficult for one reason the commen person is Ignorant Of where and how are food is grown and produce . Thankyou We need are Farmers .! .

Nice video Cows look well. you could do with some hardcore tracks/roadways for the cows. would minimize the poaching.

I thought cows were always eager to get in for milking because they are uncomfortable. I know I was when I was nursing my son!!!! lol

A roadway for the cows would extend your grazing
