Disney hates likable strong female characters. They've fired Gina Carano who played one of the very few recent Star Wars female characters liked by fans.
I’d argue that 1. Girlboss culture sucks and 2. Cruella de Vil sucks

The best villains are those understood. Not necessarily relatable but like we as the audience can understood why they are evil. Evil for the sake of being evil is trashy. But someone like thanos or Arthur fleck is a perfectly written villain.

At the end, when she said "I'm Cruella.", she looked exactly like Eva Green, it was uncanny.
I don't understand why everyone is comparing this version of Cruella to DC's Joker and Harley Quinn. Cruella drove like that in the 1961 animated version. There is a similar version of Cruella in Once Upon A Time, so I think it's just a lack of familiarity with the history and portrayals of Cruella De Vil.

I never thought to see the day when Disney decided to implement their own version of the joker into a class villain like Cruella and guess what? I like it. If there’s an animated Disney villain (Specifically in animated Disney films) that carry the most traits of the joker, please let me know.
