I’ve hunted a marsh like this before, shot a lot of bucks . Nothing huge. Was in my youth during gun season. I took a tripod out and set it up. Had to put 2x10’s on the feet so it wouldn’t sink. It was a floating Bog!
When your buck from last year is finished can we get an updated picture of you with all of your mounts I’m interested to see how much bigger your collection is now lol
Its been a lot of years since me and the bucks have done a group pic. I think the last one was in 2013 for Field and streams feature on me. It would be cool to get them all together again. They are mostly at a taxidermy studio right now in Hartland Wisconsin called Trudell Taxidermy. We are working on a building to house them all... just a slow process.
Question: I hunt traditional archery and like to be within 20 yards for a shot (better still 10-15). How could a guy set up in this location to maximize?
10 to 15 yards is tough, those old bucks really seem acute to whats going on in about a 10 yards circle and will blow out of there at the slightest abnormality. Make sure your tree and cover are perfect.
@@thehuntingbeast thank you for the reply. My only real luck has been to sit right in the cats (I made up a special seat so I can easily sit right in water if needed), on a bend in a trail so I can take a close range quartering away shot. Obviously, the wind and approach are super critical. Also, I need to get in very, very early and sit until very late. It’s limited, though, as rarely (basically never) can you sit more than one trail at a time. When it works, though, it’s a thing of beauty, hearing a monster slowly making its way through the swamp.
@@thehuntingbeast No, very low. Like 10-12". I always called them cranberry bogs or blueberry bogs but was never sure what the plant itself was. Very loud to walk through.
Drink some living water.. The gospel to be saved and redeemed is that- God so loved the world, (people) that he sent his one and only Son, (Jesus) that whosoever believes in him shall never perish but have eternal life. (Heaven). What does this mean exactly? God when he first made mankind, he made man according to his own image and likeness. God said in Genesis "let us make man in our image). The "us and our" is God. God is 3 in 1. He's the Holy Trinity. 3 persons but 1 God. He's made up of a Soul, Flesh, and Spirit. And so are we. We have Flesh- our body, this represents Jesus Christ the Son. We have a Soul- which lives forever, this represents the Father. But we don't have the Holy Spirit until we believe in the Son Jesus. That's because when God made mankind-Adam, he made him complete 3/3 (Adam walked with God) but was deceived by Satan the snake, the liar and Adam ended up disobeying God. Him and Eve both. It was the first sin. When Adam sinned God's spirit left him because God is Holy and cannot contend with sin. So Adam became only 2/3 complete. 2/3rds of what God made him to be. (Sin destroys). After this, everyone who has ever been born is born incomplete. We lack the Holy Spirit our comforter, our guide. It's not in our DNA to be 2/3s complete. We were created to be complete and we are all very desperate to be complete again. And this is exactly why God came into the world and walked in his flesh. Fully God, fully man born from a virgin- Jesus Christ to redeem us. He paid the price himself to get us back to him. Jesus Christ took all the sin of the entire world and bore it himself and was brutally whipped and tortured then nailed to a cross until he died. He spilled his blood for us. God redeemed us himself because of how much he loves us. We're precious. He paid a high price with his life for us (although the world will tell us we're mistakes). And he rose again from the dead 3 days later. Right before God let out his final breath he said "it is finished." He completed what he needed to do to forgive us of our sins. He made the only way to heaven where he is. He made a way to be 3/3 again. We could never do it ourselves because we're all guilty of our sin before God and only Jesus was perfect. The perfect Son of God- 1/3 of the Holy Trinity. To be redeemed and to go to heaven all we have to do is accept God's free gift which is the payment Jesus Christ made himself. This allows us to be born again. Because remember, we are all born from Adam incomplete 2/3 (and 2/3 is .666) the number of man and the number of the Antichrist and his mark. God said in order to walk in heaven "we must be born again". We are born once in our flesh but are reborn again by the Spirit. We are reborn through our faith in Jesus Christ and what he did for us. And the exact moment we believe this we are immediately reborn and redeemed. We are covered by his blood and given his perfect righteousness. We receive his Holy Spirit immediately and are completed again 3/3. God will lead us and comfort us. He gives us a new heart and new desires. We walk with him and we become more like him and less like us over time. The whole world is lost. We all know something is missing. And we all search for fulfillment. All of us before we get saved by Jesus are actually searching for God and don't even know it. We're searching to be completed and our flesh does it through drugs, sex, alcohol, money, other people, careers, etc. We're not just searching for our fulfillment we're also searching for peace and joy. Knowing Jesus Christ and knowing he created you on purpose, intelligently, and died for us out of his own love even though we sin against him, AND knowing we will ultimately be in paradise with him; this gives us our peace and joy. Receiving the Holy Spirit and living to please him rather than our own selfish flesh brings the real peace and joy. The peace that surpasses all understanding. Peace that this world cannot offer. If you believe and trust this, then welcome to the Kingdom, and I'am glad to see you born again out of this Matrix world. A Kingdom is a form of government. What we see playing out on earth is a battle to rule it. God's Kingdom vs Satan's Kingdom. God wins. God leads to eternal life. Satan leads to eternal death. Jesus said his kingdom is not of this world but that his kingdom is heaven. Part of Jesus's torture was that the Romans put a crown of thorns on his head and put a purple robe on him and mocked him. When Jesus was being tempted by Satan, Satan said if you bow to me I will give you all the kingdoms of this world. This fallen world is Satan's right now. He runs it. Clearly. If this world seems wicked, unfair, grotesque, backwards, well, that's because it is. That's Satan, and it's man living by his flesh. This is why Jesus said: "Ye must be born again." One more thing. Never let someone ever sway you from a relationship with Jesus Christ. Religion can't save you. Only a relationship with the creator can. Not all who profess the name Jesus know him. Some only know religion and not God. Remember, your walk with God changes you. Self is the problem so don't try to change yourself because only God can do that. Don't try to clean yourself up first because it's not about you; it's about your need for God. You can't do the work of the Holy Spirit. So surrender to him and rest. You're not seeking to feel God or to have an emotional experience although you will. You're saying yes to him first and inviting him into your heart, into your very being. Love you. Glory to King Jesus. He did it. See you in the air on our way to heaven. ❤️✝️👑🙌🏻🎺🕊☝🏻 Romans 8:18- For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not comparable with the glory that will be revealed in us. 1 Corinthians 2:9- Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love him. Mark 1:15- The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel.

When you find the ideal tree how far do you guys like to shoot 15,20,25 yards ideal for the set up tree ?
18 yards
Most hunters wont walk in a mud puddle so definitely not in a area like that..Thats alright ,more room for us hard core.
