Today we head down to Kaloko Honokohau National Park to get some fishing done in the traditional Hawaiian fish pond there. We start the morning off fishing in the fish pond then move over to the ocean for a bit. After that we get back to the National Park and send out some dunks and end up hooking a few screamers!

Nice video. We had our wedding there 15-16 years ago. Uncle Rizal set it up for us. It's probably the only beach our family religiously goes to. BTW, my wife and are work at Matsuyama Market 2 in the kitchen. FYI, Tuesday baked chicken, meatloaf, roast pork; Wednesday tomato beef, shortrib plate, shoyu chicken, panko mahi; Thursday Filipino fiesta, pork & peas, dinuguan, pork adobo; Friday beef luau, tako luau, palusami w/Palm corned beef, kalua pig and cabbage. Sometimes I make karaage, mochiko chicken, nori chicken, tonkatsu, orange chicken(the Panda Express recipe) & my wife likes to make yakisoba or fried saimin and if she has free time (which is rare) bento. We want to make more stuff like cream puffs and keto desserts but we always short handed ☹. Anyways, thanks for the content and hana pa'a. One last thing, I was thinking about asking the Matsuyama boys to try and host an invasive species fishing & diving tournament, roi and ta'ape type stuff, would be cool if you would gather up the hui to promote. We easy to find, ask anyone at the bottom store and they'll get me or my wife, Pinto & Oleana.

I’ve lost two of those exact knives while diving, they cost like 60 bucks, I still have the holder for that knife if you want it lol, it will click right in.

Nice looking little area to spend the day at. I'm itching to get back out there. Maybe in the fall. Those dry stack rock walls are cool.They have smaller ones in the California hills where they cleared fields for pasture and stacked the rocks to make fences. Hard work to be sure.

Doozing size! Lmao. Only got a few poles for dunking, I end up using the same almost everywhere.
Be carful using pole holders in koloko-honokohou if the rangers see you they will give you a ticket and say your disturbing bones in the ground. Hence why you can’t use tents or umbrellas. The rules don’t specify pole holders but the rangers done care.

@@dylanp153 Just bring it in mid to top water in that case! Try not to get stuck on rocks is the main thing, start up high in the water and work down as you get comfortable. Insert tugs and action as needed once you get use to the rig.
