One thing about the bell. Always take it off while fighting a fish. Had a few times I left it on a screama and the line rubbed my bell and cut right by the bell.
Should have gone A-Bay a few miles down the coast. A ton of more action. Caught papio/ ulua, oama/weke, Oio, uhu, moi and tako all in the same bay. Plus mostly sand so no need worry about the line getting stuck. Lol.

Smallest hook you can get your hands on and like 4 pound test. Use a snap lead about 10 inches above the hook and keep on jigging.
