Thank you for making this video. It’s so interesting. For all the hearing people saying they want to learn sign language - remember that there is not just one sign language. Every country has its own sign language, so you need to learn the sign language you country uses eg Im from the UK so I have to learn British Sign Language and if you are from Korea you need to learn Korean Sign Language and America, American Sign Language etc. They are all very different and just because two countries have the same spoken language eg uk/USA + English, that does not mean that ASL and BSL can be mutually understood. Hope that helps. I really recommend learning sign language. We should all know it as hearing people.
@Hazard Hawk .... They didn't choose to be deaf they were born like that! And nothing is wrong with it + no one forced you to learn it! You don't have to if you don't want to...
@@lamam6726 Just to let you know, there are multiple causes of hearing loss. Causes can be: congenital deafness (born deaf), illness while the mother was pregnant, illness after birth, accidental damage to the ear nerve or cochlea or hearing center of the brain, age related hearing loss, diseases such as Meniere’s, or even just attending too many Heavy Metal concerts can cause hearing loss.
It is very interesting to see Korean Sign Language, and how people react in other countries. My dad and his side of the family are Deaf, and so I grew up using American Sign Language. Whenever we are out it is always so great if someone has taken even a little bit of ASL in school, and make an effort to communicate!
If it's an official language they should teach it at school like here in Belgium we have 3 official language and with English you can choose which one to learn
We don't really have the choice? Maybe it depend of the school but mine (in Brussel) only had Dutch + English and it was mandatory (and we didn't have German... Actually idk a sigle friend from Brussel who ever have German in school)
@@HN-lq5hu I'm in in liege in primary school you choose Dutch or English and in highschool you can pick the other one for a second language or Spanish or German
All I know is that the man selling sweet potato is an angel andbhis family is so lucky to get to be with him everyday. I hope lots of people buy in his stand now, earn enough money and travel somewhere w/ his family 💕 Godbless you.

Lihoo is lovely, as well as the 55 year old man. So sweet af him to offer the coffee as service considering the store wasn't going so well. 💕 The ZER01NE expo is amazing! The goggles and music bubble were incredible. I hope we all keep working hard for a more inclusive society. 🌻
My youngest sister is deaf, and it warms my heart to see people trying their best to understand and help him, as i would if i come across people like them. Even as family, we struggle to communicate and understand with my sister since we have no knowledge on Sign Language. my sister uses FSL(Filipino Sign Language - we're from the Philippines) and you can almost NEVER find online sources for learning FSL (or even lessons from institutions). I borrow her teacher's reference books and scan the whole book for me and my family to learn at home. It would be amazing if there would be a UNIVERSAL sign language for all nationalities, considering the possibility of families (having a deaf member) moving to another country using a DIFFERENT sign language. But idk if it's possible since Korean Language has a different sentence structure from English (but if it can be done, that would be SPECTACULAR)!
@@myheartwillstopinjoy8142 Did you try looking for videos of sign language tutorials in your country’s sign language, here in youtube? @Obsessed Simp translate: when a person talks on the street, most of them ask for a phone number or a pseudo-religious advertisement, so if someone talks to me on the street, i avoid them, but after watching this video, my mind changed. I have to listen to others when a person talks on the street
I was so happy when I encountered someone who knew basic signs and was able to take my fast food order, this is during the pandemic. For once I did not need to use my notepad.
this inspired me to learn a little bit of sign language. i was reminded of a deaf customer we have regularly at our store, and i'd like to be able to say basic things to her
What I'm learning from these videos is that Koeran elders are the most wholesome people to exist in this world and we should protect them at all costs.
I asked my home room teacher if we could take 5 minutes out of the class just to learn some sign language because I feel like if there was ever a time we needed to know how to use it, it would be a big help.

I know American Sign Language and am currently learning korean I hope to one day move to Korea and when I become more fluent in Korean I would love to learn KSL because the amount of relief and happiness deaf people get when they realize you speak a language they can communicate in makes it all worth it knowing you’re able to help someone
I have 2 uncle deaf, and when we are all together with the family, I feel so much pain that they cannot hear the conversations so we always must to tell again the story well-articulated because sometimes we forget, so guys if anyone of you meet a deaf person try to speak well articulated for he does not feel left out, this help a lot.

The sweet potato man was the gem 💎 in this video, he actually tried to talk to the gentleman, that was very nice to see! Makes me happy to see that there are kindhearted people in the world! ♥️
It was so nice to see the ajhussi owner trying to communicate in every way. It was so touching to see him offering coffee even though he said moments before that business wasn't going so well!
Is an interesting topic and something we all must reflects on!🤗
"The only word people even share it with strangers is 'Hello'!" Glad to have such a beautiful word😌😇
Oh wow
Thank you for this information :)
I didn’t know that
@@lamam6726 Just to let you know, there are multiple causes of hearing loss.
I Wonder why they didn't come up with an Universal sign language🤔
@@vittoriasalvia3778 There is an International Sign Language.
That 55 year old guy so warmly kind. Thats makes me tear. I want to learn sign language. 💕
It is very interesting to see Korean Sign Language, and how people react in other countries. My dad and his side of the family are Deaf, and so I grew up using American Sign Language. Whenever we are out it is always so great if someone has taken even a little bit of ASL in school, and make an effort to communicate!
If it's an official language they should teach it at school like here in Belgium we have 3 official language and with English you can choose which one to learn
i agree!! it would be way better if we were teached the basics at school
Eiiii I'm from Belgium too !! ^^
@@lolome5100 ohh ok! Thanks for your reply, I think it depend of the city bcs in Brussel Dutch is never an choice hahaha
8:38 I can't with him 😂 he is so cute!!! 🥰
All I know is that the man selling sweet potato is an angel andbhis family is so lucky to get to be with him everyday. I hope lots of people buy in his stand now, earn enough money and travel somewhere w/ his family 💕
Godbless you.
the 55yo old man is so kind, his business is not going well but he offered him the coffee and he has so much skills in this sort of sign language XD
I'm learning ASL, and it was interesting to see what KSL is like. I'm happy that it's a second language! Thank you for this video! I hope people take at least a little bit of time to learn their local sign language :)
When I was in middle school me and a friend learnt sign language so we could talk without making noise and I still remember much of it
Lihoo is lovely, as well as the 55 year old man. So sweet af him to offer the coffee as service considering the store wasn't going so well. 💕
The ZER01NE expo is amazing!
Sign language is such a beautiful language. I encourage everyone no matter where you are from to learn your country’s sign language. 🤟🏼
I want to, but the only school I know exists in my country only accepts deaf people...
@@myheartwillstopinjoy8142 Did you try looking for videos of sign language tutorials in your country’s sign language, here in youtube? I cannot speak for other countries, but most schools for the Deaf in my country offer free classes of sign language for anyone to attend, even people who have no connection to the school.
Yeah, there is a deaf person nearby my neighborhood, whom I meet everyday. Although I'm not so good in sign languages, whenever i meet him, I manage to talk with him somehow. I fully understand what he's trying to say. It kind of makes me happy after the encounter coz I think that I have did some good job. It doesn't matter, the simple things you do can light up a person's day ☀💜
Lets learn together, more... 💜💜
i find it super interesting that even the sign languages for different languages are different. i think it's absolutely amazing that every culture has figured out ways to communicate with those that are hard of hearing/deaf.
its harder for us nowadays because of the masks and we can't see the movement of the mouths :/ so i feel him when he asked the owner to lower his mask
oh dang, i’ve been wondering how deaf / hard of hearing people cope lately. i hope we all don’t have to wear masks soon & things will be better for you!
Actually they are outside, so the person asked can keep a distance and take off the mask for lip reading. But I was in the same situation at work and totally forgot about my mask while talking to a deaf person...🤦♀️
There's a mask that you can see through! It's paper with plastic but it does help with deaf who read lips :)

when a person talks on the street, most of them ask for a phone number or a pseudo-religious advertisement, so if someone talks to me on the street, i avoid them, but after watching this video, my mind changed. I have to listen to others when a person talks on the street
Boy - is the business going well?
Owner - No..

The Owner is so sweet 😊
Omg i just love the 55yo man who helped him and even had a convo that was so adorable i would love to help his sweet potato stall out

This video makes me happy. As a person with a hearing loss, I love seeing these types of videos!!
I’m so happy that I decided to learn ASL especially now when it’s hard for people to understand with a mask on. Love this kind of videos!
I was so happy when I encountered someone who knew basic signs and was able to take my fast food order, this is during the pandemic. For once I did not need to use my notepad.
Ah I love this so much! As a CODA I’ve been inspired to learn multiple languages so I can learn their sign language! KSL is so beautiful :’)
the man at the coffee shop doing his best to communicate with the guy is amazing!
after reading "sign" this vid makes my heart melt even more
this inspired me to learn a little bit of sign language. i was reminded of a deaf customer we have regularly at our store, and i'd like to be able to say basic things to her
the way the deaf guy just nods when people are getting interviewed is so cute 😭
What I'm learning from these videos is that Koeran elders are the most wholesome people to exist in this world and we should protect them at all costs.
In my experience as a deafie, older people are kinder and sometimes younger people suck lol
I asked my home room teacher if we could take 5 minutes out of the class just to learn some sign language because I feel like if there was ever a time we needed to know how to use it, it would be a big help.
That old man was awesome! Pure willingness, He definitely went the extra mile there!

I'm currently studying to enter an engineering school, my dream is to live and work in Korea. I have no idea what to do in the future except that. I like technology and Korea. That's all I can think about.
I have no idea but I love seeing the improvement of technology. Especially when it comes to helping disabled people!
Maybe one day it will end up being my yet-unknown-dream-job. If so I want to thank you, for making such great contents and videos, inspiring people and bringing awareness about disability ❤
(See you in 5/10years 🤭)
Same dream! Hope we can contribute to society soon!!
THE FACT THAT THE GUY STARTED SPEAKING ENGLISH MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD PLEASE
he even forgot how to speak korean for a second 😂😂
Its really heartwarming to see the man in the coffee shop was actually trying his best to communicate with Lihoo and make him comfortable as well ..❤️❤️ These types of examples are needed in the society..Thankyou JAKEEOUT ×VWVBfor showing us these types of heartwarming videos👌👌 Fighting 💪💪
Sign language is really good to know. Even just basic ASL is just fine! You never know what can happen in the future...you could meet someone deaf or hard of hearing...or you can become deaf yourself due to a illness...you can even have a deaf baby...(not to be dark sorry). But it's always good to know basic ASL. LOVED THIS VIDEO AS ALWAYS! THANK YOU!💜
I am deaf from USA. It's something I am always curious about, about deaf people living in SK. Normally I use a written system with hearing people if I need directions. But getting help can be difficult nonetheless. Always grateful to people who take their time and help.
I had deaf college mates,we usually communicate by reading lips and typing on the phone
After this video I understand the struggle that they might be having with this face masks
I'll try to learn the sign language 💪
The old man running his shop was so nice and accommodating 😭😭❤️
I love this series !
I have a deaf sister and a Hard of Hearing sister, the language is so fascinating (our is American Sign Language). I believe it should be a mandatory course in schools.
i hope the sweet potato man gets more customers cause he’s so nice :)
Im a profoundly deaf person and I know BSL (British sign language) I wear 2 cochlear implants that helps me hear. Before I had cochlear implants my hearing was so bad that I relied on sign language. Nobody knows sign language here in the uk. It’s so rare to meet someone who knows sign language. I hope it becomes a language that is mandatory to be taught in school or any educational environment. This was lovely to see. Thank you for making this video!
awww damn that sucks that he can’t try lip reading anymore,, that’s scary having to communicate like that. u can’t afford to get lost, i wouldnt make it bru 😭

When I went to Korea for a trip, a deff woman came to me and I was so flustered! I think she thought I was Korean and asked for direction but I am not Korean! And I didn't know she was deff until like 5 minutes later. 🤣 At last, google translate become my savior lol
So I kind of understand why people get flustered but still... Help people who asked for help 😫

During Highschool in México we had the opportunity to take braille and sign language as complementary classes, and the courses would also help us get credits to complete our social service credits in order to graduate. It was such a fun class, sign language was full so I had to settle with just braille, but that alone was so much fun~
