It made me so happy to hear you say you and Tyler are best friends. I am a long time viewer and remember you dating a few frogs but you eventually found your prince! :)
Animals are so in sync with us and our emotions. My dog can read me like a book and gets so clingy when she knows anything is going on with me. Maybe he was reacting to your stress about Tyler being away.
With Ollie, do you notice if it happens when your emotions change, like if you’re stressed or get worried or just feeling off about something? Animals pick up on these things especially where you two are so super close. My dog, (also Ollie ❤) is super keen to my emotions and this actually happens with him as well.
You are fantastic for going early every morning to exercise, well done. I so envy all of you in the US, we do not get coffee creamer or cold foam here in Ireland, I was in Florida on holiday last month and took home the pumpkin spice cold foam, exactly like the one you had, it was so delicious. Thank you for sharing.
My husband was a superintendent for big construction companies and traveled all time. Usually to very remote northern oil communities. Not cool places like Nashville lol. We had to wait for him to come home (young kids at time even) it beat lay offs but that time was hard. He works local now though but his experience got him a great local job. It will be worth it and maybe you can find a cat sitter and work remotely there. Huge advantage for you.
Sophie, I saw other people mention it as well. Kitty prozac can be a game changer! It’s not expensive either. I work in rescue and it’s used quite often. You should talk to your vet about it. Sometimes he might even just be picking up on the stresses in life that his mom is going through and reacting to that. You’re such a good cat mom to Ollie. ❤
@@lisaglunt569 yeah I need to bring him to a new vet here where I live now and find a nice one that lets me be with him in the room. The last place he had a terrible experience and so did I lol they wouldn’t let me in the room with him and it was no bueno
@@sophiamariedeeSophie! I work at an all cat vet as a practice manager and let me tell you it is. A game changer for anxious kitties. You should see if there is an all feline practice in your area. If there isn’t you should absolutely advocate for him and make sure the vet lets you come in as it makes a lot of kitties way more comfortable!
@@sophiamariedeeI also highly recommend bringing him sooner rather than later because if it is behavioral the longer it goes the harder it is to break the habit! If he is anxious at the vet ask if you can pick up gabapentin before hand as it helps anxious kitties soooo much. I give it to mine before I bring them to work with me for their vaccines and they are much happier : ) hope this helps!
Yes my moms cat Martha went on kitty Prozac as well and never peed anywhere but her litter box again and she was bad peeing everywhere. It’s worth a try Good luck girly! ❤
My husband travels for work and sometimes have to travel out of state it’s so hard, I travel with him a lot too we found a girl in college who comes and sits with our dogs… but travel and enjoy this time with him while you both don’t have kiddos because we have a lot and we are always working around their stuff
I have a cat that did it. She takes generic Prozac because she didn’t have a UTI. Everyday. Don’t have to worry about going away for a couple days. Prozac has a long half-life. She’s fine now. He might need some anxiety meds.
Target has a salted caramel cold foam too in the Favorite Day brand and it’s my favorite on top of a protein coffee (Nespresso pods and a chocolate chip cookie dough premier protein shake). YUM!
I just went to Ohio, my first time. We went to the Ohio state game when they beat Nebraska!!! We almost ate at Hudson’s because that is our last name but my husband’s family wanted to go to The Barn, that was a really great dinner!!! I think Ollie is just confused as to why there is a “man” around the house, he is so used to it just being the two of you. I sure hope he starts listening and do what he is supposed to do, he’s such a cutie! Tyler cooks some great looking meals!!! So happy for you both ❤
One of my cats has the same problem it’s so frustrating. My cats have several clean liter boxes I try to keep their environment as stress free as possible. They eat great food etc she’s healthy no diseases or UTIs or anything and she still pees on soft surfaces once in a while. I feel your pain
@@Thejennmachine sigh I’m like ok Sophie I guess this is just having a pet and he’s so good 95% of the time I just wish he scratched stuff up vs pee! Lol
I wonder if you switch to a urinary diet? My boy cat is on Royal Canin Urinary Health- nonRx. It’s $$ but lasts a long time. It helps with his PH levels. Ollie might just benefit from it. Vet told us all cats could benefit from a urinary diet. He never has peed other places except when he has flare ups with bladder crystals caused by anxiety, but it’s worth a shot! 😊 🐱
My cat stopped using his litter box during Covid and would either pee on the furniture or hold it in as long as possible. Took him to the vet so many times and nothing was ever wrong and they wrote it off as anxiety. I ended up making him a corner in the basement with newspaper on the ground and now he goes on that and hasn’t had an accident since. It might be worth a try with Ollie!
My husband used to travel for work and it really sucked. Fortunately for us he mostly stayed in Ohio so it'd be like a 2-3 hour drive to go see him. Also screw the snow that is here this morning 😒
So, Ollie, this is a pain, but it worked for us....Our cat had the same problem because I had to be gone awhile....my vet told me to put confine him to his favorite room (which in our case, it was the bedroom) and set 3-4 litter boxes around the room. Slowly remove all but one of the litter boxes. Sounds odd, but it worked for us.
I do think it probably has to do with boredom sigh there are only so many things you can buy lol I am going to get him more stuff to see if he likes any of it
I love that you and Tyler are best friends because that’s really what it takes for a successful relationship. My husband and I have been married for 30 years and we just enjoy being together. I told him not too long ago that he just didn’t know what a big deal it was that even though I’m an introvert through and through I still love having him around 😂❤
Please don’t wear a wrinkled shirt to a date or a steakhouse it doesn’t look good. I know most women get comfortable when they have a partner but believe me that will make him look at pretty well-dressed women

I'm glad she found her prince, but I sure miss the stories she had about her bad dates 😅

We spray cinnamon vinegar and water mix as a deterrent - maybe that will help

I like that creamer too 😊
Ask the vet about prescription anxiety meds for the cat.
It's crazy about Ollie, sorry you have to deal with that.

You can buy custom waterproof couch covers.
