I ordered different fake rings off Amazon to figure out my favorite shape/size. Wearing it around the house for a week really helped me settle on the shape.

That’s exactly what I did. I thought elongated cushion was my thing until I wore a cheap one from Amazon around for a week and realized I didn’t like how it looked on my finger and I loved oval more.
Oh my gosh!!! She is soo gorgeous, and that 1.7ct fits perfectly to her slender fingers! It looks quite large on her fingers! The ratio truly makes a difference!

0.2-0.3 ct is the most popular size for engagement rings in Japan, where I’m from 😮 it’s interesting that different countries have different standards!

I’m from Germany and my engagement ring is 0.3 ct 😊 It is also very common here to go for something between 0.2 and 0.5 ct maximum! 1 ct diamond ring is considered to be a huge one and a big investment 😂
I am from Chicago and my engagement ring is 0.5 ct. I love it! My fiancé thought it would be too small but it is perfect for my smaller hand. I also told him that it was a typical size in a lot of places in the world except the US.

I'm from Taiwan and I feel like the most popular size is 0.3-0.5 ct, and even a lot of people don't have an engagement ring or don't actually wear it 24/7. It is just totally different from the states

I think what's really perfect about this ring is that bonnie designed it and obviously the more serious thing is it has platinum for the prongs that doesn't affect the color of the stone because when you are investing in a d e or f carat diamond it just sucks if that gets affected by some metal. But for me who also loves gold i would definitely go for two metal settings

I wouldnt travel all the way to the US to get a lab grown. The air ticket and hotel would be more expensive than the ring!😅

Congrats to her! We have the same experience in Sweden. And if you were to actually go and buy the 1 carat diamond (round, standard specs, basic solitaire) they quoted us equivalent of 11k USD! Needless to say we bought during holiday in the US and got the same ring and whole trip for less money than it would have cost for only the ring here in Sweden! 😅

I'm married to a Norwegian and I am South African so we love our jewellery. I have a lot and wear a lot. My engagement ring is a 1.75 radiant cushion with 3 brilliants on each shoulder. Total carat of ring 2.75 ct. Not flashy at all to me. Someone told me it looked like "a drug dealer's ring"

That is true . In Europe people don't typically go over one carat. I have a problem with it myself , because I am dreaming about a 3 carat ring but I want to wear it everyday and I know people will look at me and I don't know what people in the office will say, my boss, I hope he will not say it is too much and I should stop wearing it . That is why I think that maby I should buy a smaller one... but no. My dream ring is bigger one.

I know this is easier said than done, but try not to worry about what others will think of your ring. You’re the one wearing it every day and you want to be happy with it! I also want a large diamond and I’m also nervous about how those around me will react. But ultimately, we’re the ones who will have to look at it every day for the rest of our lives! We should be as in love with it as we are with our partners, as that’s who it’s suppose to remind us of!
