I hate when moms try to still control you well into adulthood. My mom did the same. Made my proposal about her, my wedding about her, now trying to tell me what to do with my kids. You definitely have to set boundaries. I couldn’t imagine wearing an engagement ring that I didn’t truly love as a “compromise” to my mother. She had her chance at her own engagement. It’s my turn lol!
I just don’t understand why someone would put a truly exceptional stone in a halo. To me, a halo is fine on a lesser stone but a great stone is so beautiful, I just want to see it on its own so I can admire it from all angles. But everyone has their own taste. Your ring is lovely.
I absolutely love what you did with your engagement ring. I love low profiles and I love east west settings. My own ring that I designed is an east west oval with a low profile and a micropave halo. My favorite kind of setting. Tall elegant settings are beautiful, but crazy impractical IMHO.
I'm thrilled to hear you love the re-set! Yellow gold can indeed give a piece a classic and vintage aesthetic, and it's fantastic that it resonates with you. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and if you have more questions or need further assistance in the future, feel free to reach out! 😍🌟
Love the low profile. My engagement ring is a 3 stone round, low profile Verragio setting with a medium width band. I didn't want a delicate thin band because I don't consider myself delicate. And I didn't want any pave on the band with for practical reasons (falling stones) and because that feminine factor is just not me. But I didn't want a split shank or a plain band. So my band is uniquely sculptural. It didn't come with a matching band, so we had one made, then I had it soldered together. After 23 yrs, I still love it. I have other vacation rings in other shapes. Emerald, Trillion and cushion. But my original round is still my favorite.
🙋Hello from GA, I just found your channel and subscribed. I 💞 the right hand east west cushion cut ring👍😎. Every ring you presented is lovely. I like your style👍😉 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I love the original ring and the second remake. Low-profile rings (and east-west orientation) are where it's at! This is coming from a woman who had her wedding ring & band remade into one ring that is low-profile with an east-west oval diamond. It's great because I can wear it with gloves (I'm a lab tech) without worrying about snagging the diamond or ripping my gloves.
It’s hard to say, I like the cushion on its own, but then LOVE the antique look with halo. However, I love round diamonds they bling so much brighter, so I love the upgrade to. Let’s just say I love diamonds lol.
Hi Bonnie, your ring upgrade is lovely. I noticed that the bottom part of the diamond is completely covered by gold. What is that style called? Do you have a video explaining the pros/cons of that setting type? I’d love to learn more about it. Your videos are wonderful, I wish you all the best.
Hello, I am new to your channel and very much enjoying the content. Just a quick question what size melee or pave have you used on the halo. Many thanks.
Love low profile ring settings too, Bonnie! Can you do something like your signature tulip prong style if you're looking to go low profile or is that something that essentially only comes with a mid to high setting option?
I love this ring!! I wish you did reset, my dad wore an east-west pear shaped amethyst and would love it in this setting as east west. Should I have it in gold or rose gold?
Ms Bonnie, just seeing the PURE JOY on your face as you explained YOUR GORGEOUS REDO, makes ME WISH (even MORE) that YOU would RECONSIDER doing REDOs for YOUR CLIENTS, too!! 🙏🏼 I would LOVE to be able to wear my little 25 yr old OG diamond wedding ring, but after metastatic Breast Cancer & lymph node removal (resulting in swelling), it will never fit me again (& it can not be resized).😭 I've decided to give it to our daughter on her wedding day, but it will be tough to let go of...🥹
I actually find your original ring to be the most elegant and beautiful in its timeless design. I don't like halos, I find they take away from the beauty of the center stone trying to mask it and make it look bigger than it is, but when you look up close it's just an illusion.
Are you ok disclosing if it is a natural or lab diamond. I am personally torn between natural and lab. I LOVE big diamonds but I genuinely want to know what a gemologist decided to have! Thank you in advance!
While I'm not a fan of the Halo style ring, I LOVED your original Halo Cushion cut diamond engagement ring. I would be happy with that ring even if it was a Halo. Your remake of it😦 not so much of a fan. But as long as you're happy, that's all that matters. It's your ring and everyone has different tastes. I also like the way your original engagement ring was before the remake, because sometimes, I just like simple unadorned solitaires. I LOVE your upgrade ring!!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍 But, since I like to wear bands on either side, the diamond pave on the outside of the shanks I would skip because it wouldn't be seen if I wore bands on both sides of the ring, but, I absolutely LOVE your upgrade, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Makes me drool.😁 As for the east-west rings, my dream solitaire would be an emerald or radiant cut set east west with maybe trilliants on either side on a band as wide as the diamonds's width.
Interesting. I am also married to a French husband and over there nobody really cares about the carat size. Dainty and discreet seem to be the keyword, and gaudy rings tend to be looked down upon. Are engagement rings even a thing in China? I thought engagement rings are not a part of wedding tradition in many Asian countries. Maybe that's changing?
Yeahss I love the east west. I have the ugliest marquis diamond ever and had it reset into n east west setting and its still ugly. It has terrible proportions, it very long 😪 😢. Any idea's?
What would your mom have done if you married a man who could only afford 3/4 to 1 carat ring? That’s what I did. Even though I wanted a big ring my husband was a public servant (retired now) and I knew that’s what he could afford. We never upgraded because once we had kids and a mortgage it wasn’t financially possible. If it ever becomes possible I will come to you!
I am Chinese too. I wanted an oval solitaire but my mom said my engagement has to be a round diamond so to make her happy I got a round diamond. I am still lusting after an oval solitaire. 😢
To make your mom happy....."Be happy for you.....be happy in your heart" ..... Material stuff....is dead stuff....empty...materialism is empty and emptyless pit that never gets fill.....with more and more stuff.
Put your mom in her correct place!! She didn’t get engaged, YOU DID. Changing the ring is an insult to your future husband and he won’t forget or forgive no matter what he’s said! So CHOOSE! Do you want to live with your husband or your mom.
Happy Holidays!

Exactly and this should not be indulged.
But Asian moms support and sacrifices to their kids and nieces financially and spiritually no matter how old they are .
Sorry to say that I love this ring even more than your 5ct ring! SOOOOO unique and antique and gorgeous!
I certainly love them both ❤️ Thank you dear
The cushion as a solitaire was devastatingly beautiful. It’s a shame you messed with it at all.
i agree, it looked more elegant and rich originallly.
@@lynnarmbruster4353 I disagree. It looks elegant and effortless in a thicker yellow gold setting.
Yeah, the solitaire was definitely the most elegant. The last setting was cute, but look more like a dress ring.
Both are gorgeous but the re-mount of your cushion just sings to my soul looks so unique and fitting.
I love how simple buy yet very substantial it looks.
Yes exactly!!!
That's a beautiful right-hand ring! The halo is a lovely touch to remember the roots of your story.
That new setting is gorgeous 😍
Oh Bonnie, you are a brilliant artist.
Thank you so much!
Your rings are beautiful!! I truly love your original Cushion cut solitaire best! But, they are all stunning!
Thank you so much!
I love low profile rings. Love love love.

Bonnie!! Do you have pictures of your original (lower profile) setting? I'm a sucker for a modest, low profile setting with a big rock
Bonnie, your videos are the best. Thanks for making such awesome content!

Wow beautiful yellow gold looks beautiful on you
The re-set is gorgeous!!! Having it in gold makes it so classy and give that antique heirloom jewelry look. 😍

Such a pretty ring also. Love the reset. Lucky you. You get the best of both worlds with two different rings😍💍
Wow! I love what you did with your original diamond - gorgeous!
YAY ❤️ So glad you liked this ring style!

I love it look stunning on gold
I love this ring! The thicker band and low profile it is gorgeous
They really do make for such a unique look! 😍
🙋Hello from GA,
I just found your channel and subscribed. I 💞 the right hand east west cushion cut ring👍😎. Every ring you presented is lovely. I like your style👍😉 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Love the yellow gold!
Love this setting so much with the gold. Could you make this in a gemstone?
It's so precious! Yes it would depend on what gemstone you're looking to set :-) -Team By Bonnie

Totally! You made a great choice 😍🙌
Good for you. Once you have a dream diamond resetting it makes it new. ❤ East - West
I love east west.. I have a pair halo ring set east - west and I get compliments on it everywhere I go
It’s hard to say, I like the cushion on its own, but then LOVE the antique look with halo. However, I love round diamonds they bling so much brighter, so I love the upgrade to. Let’s just say I love diamonds lol.
Loving diamonds is never a problem! 😄😉

I love Bonnie tea time ❤❤ Thank you
YAY! Glad you do 🫶
Omg that new redesign is absolutely gorgeous 😍
Your jewelry is gorgeous... Lucky lucky lady!!!!
I love that new setting ❤
Is your cushion an antique cut? Usually not a fan of halos but your ring is just so pretty! Stop giving me ideas lol.
I like it. It's like a signet ring.
It turned out so BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for sharing. Now we need to see which diamond bracelets go with it. 😜
Your husband is handsome! You make a beautiful couple. Happy holidays!! 🎉🎄
I'll tell him :) Happy Holidays!
I love big diamonds too!
I LOVE THE DIAMONDS, but can we also take a moment to honor those GORGEOUS GOLD BANGLES @ 2:30?!? I mean ❤😍❤🌟👸🏼🌟🤤🤤🤤🤤!
Just found your channel, in love with the ring ❤
I think it is a gorgeous ring and moreover, it looks really comfortable.
As someone who also chose her own ring, heck yeah to our own choice! I am also Chinese but luckily, nobody changed my mind..
I would like to see about channel set wedding bands, other shapes than round diamonds. Your videos are very informative. Thank you!!

Hi Ginger
Hi Bonnie ❤ I would love to see this ring style in a round brilliant diamond😊 either platinum or yellow gold.
Omg. I just asked ur assistant for east west ring pics/links/vids last month so I could send them over to my partner 😂
You ask, we deliver :)
Love the story telling and seeing the Chinese gold jewellery! I really like your furry top/vest!!
Omg! Yes! I want a halo too. So beautiful!
Gorgeous 🤩🤩
I love that ring!
Your ring is pretty! I like big things too! I get my expensive taste from my Mom as well!
Love it!
❤️
The more I watch your videos the less I know which one to choose . I love all of them ❤
We're so happy you love all of our designs!

Yea sure, is a natural diamond :)
They are chemically identical. Lab grown is less expensive
While I'm not a fan of the Halo style ring, I LOVED your original Halo Cushion cut diamond engagement ring. I would be happy with that ring even if it was a Halo. All material things we cannot take with us when we die but it is a lovely ring
I love your ring
Thank you, dear ❤️
I LOVE EAST-WEST BEZEL OVAL

Are engagement rings even a thing in China? I thought engagement rings are not a part of wedding tradition in many Asian countries. Maybe that's changing?
Most of us can’t afford even one of those rings on your finger, and even if I could, I wouldn’t waste that much money on a diamond.
Yeahss I love the east west. I have the ugliest marquis diamond ever and had it reset into n east west setting and its still ugly. It has terrible proportions, it very long 😪 😢. Any idea's?
You could give it to me; I love ultra-long cuts! 😁
What would your mom have done if you married a man who could only afford 3/4 to 1 carat ring? That’s what I did. Your mom doesn't have to wear it
Bonnie I love all your rings! What lipstick are you wearing in this video? It looks so good on you!
I like the 1 on your left hand, not the gold reset ring. Js
Lovely
I thought all of them were beautiful
I am Chinese too. I wanted an oval solitaire but my mom said my engagement has to be a round diamond so to make her happy I got a round diamond. I am still lusting after an oval solitaire. 😢
Obedient daughter? Mom says need more diamonds? Seriously? As if 3.5 carats isn’t enough! Entitled? Definitely!! 😂😂😂😂

听妈妈的就对了,resetting确实更美了
Finallyyyyy!
Wish you would have shown all the way under the ring
Well, she doesn’t have to wear it.
I prefer a low profile. I don't care for the look of high profile rings, plus I bang my rings a lot if they're set too high. I guess I'm a clutz.
Your mom does not have to say anything about your engagement ring. .. It's not her wedding ring.
Not a fan of any halo action. That original was POW.
Its up to you not mum and its what you future husband wants for you
What about the husband’s feelings??😡
Put your mom in her correct place!! She didn’t get engaged, YOU DID. Changing the ring is an insult to your future husband and he won’t forget or forgive no matter what he’s said! So CHOOSE! Do you want to live with your husband or your mom.
your mum needs to mind her own business lol
NOPE
East/west orientation has been popular for many years! What you’ve done is stunning but nothing new.🤷🏻♀️. Sorry.
