I’m 81 years old, played mando and guitar for years and saw many of the 1st and 2nd generation musicians, but I have never seen or imagined the reaction at the 2nd SC show ! Whatever sets Billy and his band apart, they and he have it in spades ! I’ll try to get to another show when the chance comes.

@@BillyFanNJ : probably 10 years or more ago, I still follow Bluegrass pretty closely and I have seen about all these younger musicians like Billy, Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull etc since they were 10 year olds. That was my first live Billy show though.

This was my first Billy Strings show (my favorite artist). Hands down the best show I’ve ever been to!

It was such a great all around experience. I feel like I found my tribe when I became a Billy fan almost a decade ago.
People around me were upset I smoked weed, Billy let em know though haha

I spent 2 nights in your part of the world for these 2 shows. I stayed in Belafonte. You live in a pretty part of the world with lots of friendly folks. Thank you for the hospitality. The Mrs.and I had fun.
@BillyFanNJ I luve about 20 minutes from Belfonte, originally from Michigan but I've lived all across the US. I love this area. Been here 8 years now, one of my favorite places in all the US.

Billy and his cats are doing something very, very special up there. I’ve heard nothing like it since the heyday of New Grass Revival in the late 1980s. (Please 🙏 somebody out there, lemme know you remember New Grass Revival!) When NGR prematurely broke up in 1989, I simply said, okay…I’ll never hear the likes of that acoustic instrumental and vocal perfection again. So it goes.
Wow. I spoke 35-years too soon. And I could NOT be happier!
