Good morning Mike, Boy, it's hard to look at the damage Fiona did, but the lake looks beautiful. I love calm days when the water reflects the surroundings. The Massey is ready to go. Let it snow. Hope you and Nannie have a great weekend, Ben 👋😎👍
How's she goin'? Thanks Ben. The damage Fiona done cannot be undone, sadly!! But it did give us a lot better view of the lake and in time the trees, especially these 250 new ones Chris got us, will sure make a big difference. Thanks for watching. I hope you and Sue enjoy your weekend too!! Take care!!
How's she goin'? Your prayers are special and powerful Mike. Thanks for remembering us that way. It was a long afternoon to get done what I figured would only take about an hour!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
It very much sounds like our big plans 🙂It would be great to have a "stop the world" button to be able to get all these projects done. We have wind and rain too but the difference is that ours has not stopped yet and we are expecting the same next week. The tree planting is cool, it is surprising how quickly they grow and you will get to see the changes in the landscape as they grow. Jump starting the tractor worked great and you got a lot done
How's she goin'? Joseph, that's a great idea to have a 'stop the world' button!! I like that!! LOL The trees will grow back pretty quick for sure. It seems that once the seedlings get their tops above the ground cover of grasses and scrub and the sun gets to them, they grow pretty quick. I hope I can get to see the results of the tree planting. I know Chris was looking forward to it!! LOL Thanks for the visit. Take care!!
Hey Mike every time you show your lake I’m reminded of what you guys went through when the hurricane hit. It’s still beautiful though and will only improve as those spruce trees grow year after year. Have a great weekend Brother!
How's she goin'? The lake sure is a nice spot, thank Brother. But by the time these spruce trees get big, I'll be looking down at them, or maybe even looking up at them. But I doubt that eh!! LOL Thanks for the visit Doug. Take 'er easy!
Another good video. I'd say that new battery is something you need to get sooner rather than later. I'm sorry I have kept you from getting your planned jobs done.Hoping next year will be better.
You didn't cause me not to get the yard work done. Remember I had most of the gardens cleaned up not too bad but then I started insulating the shop and I worked on it all summer and fall and I'm still working on it!! LOL Love ya!!
Should we start calling you Leaf man , for that amazing super power, . That tractor didn,t want to start eh, makes you wonder if there isn,t more of a problem there. Love and prayer to you and Janet
How's she goin'? Cathy I'm a Habs Man not a Leaf Man!! LOL But I can rake leaves pretty good. That's what Montreal does with Toronto, rakes them up when they fall every spring!! LOL The tractor has always been hard to start, but you might be right about it having a problem. I'll have to do some checking on that I think before it gets real cold eh! Thansk for the love and prayers. You rock!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks for dropping by Gator. Yes buddy, the tractor is ready for snow. Not too sure I am though!! LOL I like snow, but this year I'm not as excited about it as usual!! Take 'er easy!!
Good Evening Mon Ami, Very Nice Lake View 🧐👍Nice Clean Up and Poor Tractor Battery 😢 Ho boy, that is a deep discharged battery 😮 Nice Attachment Clean Up 👍😇Be Well Mon AMi Cheers 🍻🍻
Comment ca va mon ami? Dave I think my tractor has a problem as the battery is not that old and it is always hard to start the tractor. I need to do some maintenance maybe!! LOL A la prochaine!!!
Hello Mike! Nice super power! Getting ready for the ❄️! I got done just in time. Have a great weekend. The massy is alive!!! You are Looking good! Say hello to Nanny for us!
How's she goin'? Thanks Ross. The Massey is alive again for sure. It was hard to believe that I never ran it all summer. That was a first. Now to have a gander at why it's always so hard to start. Glad you got your gear on in time. That was quite the snow fall. But the Kubota handled it and I was pretty sure I saw it smiling too!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
That's the way almost all of my jobs go , I think it's going to take me a few minutes and it ends up taking me several hours. I love them zip ties they shure are handy. We don't get much snow here so I really don't have winter only attachments. Continued prayers for you and Nannie and I'll see you on the next one.
Hello there Ronnie!! Many thanks for your continued prayers. They are special for Nannie and I and we sure do appreciate them!! Most winters we'll get a fair amount of snow, usually around the latter part of February and into March. So I like to have the blower on early. Last year I think I only used the blower 4 times and that was for one main storm that dumped almost 3 feet on us!! Thanks for the visit and God Bless you!! Take 'er easy!!
You have been so busy on your shop rebuild that you didn't have time to get after the tractor attachments! No problem, it is all good. Most of my 2 hour projects end up taking me all day too!! Nice work on the video! Cheers!
How's she goin'? I like that story. So that's my reason for not getting anything done this summer! LOL Mike it might be our age, that makes a 2 hour project take half a day!! LOL Thanks for the comment. Take 'er easy!!
Hey Mike I know what you mean about the wet weather, we have had the worst fall in years, hopefully we have all our precipitation now and we won't need the blade on the tractor, I guess that's just a wishful dream. Glad to see that you have yours all ready. I guess the snow you referred to was rain by the time it got here. I am sure we will get lots of snow to play in before the winter is over. Wishing you and Nannie all the joys of the season.
How's she goin'? Thanks Wayne. I hope you all have a nice Christmas season too. I had big plans for all these attachments over the summer, but sometimes big plans fizzle out eh!! It was a marathon to get the gear back under cover for the winter and the plow and blower on the tractor. Glad that's done!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Kenny!! All set for the dirt as long as the tractor will start! LOL I think I need to do some checking eh, to see why it's so hard to start! Take 'er easy!!
Always something to shuffle Mike. Great video. Was wondering when I’d see a snowblower install. You’re lucky you didn’t get caught with a pile of snow down. 👍🏻 Lake looks great. To bad about the trees gone and in the back ground all the trees blown over. You and Janet have a great weekend. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
How's she goin'? I was kind of worried I wouldn't get the gear put away or the blower and plow on the tractor before the snow. But I lucked out again this year! I left the chains on the tractor all summer too. This will be the 2nd summer for doing that and they seem to be no worse for wear. It sure beats trying to get the chains on with your fingers frozen!! LOL Thanks for dropping by Noel. It's going to be a cold weekend I guess eh! Bundle up!! Take 'er easy!!
Whenyou put leaves in the collection can, fill it up about half way then stick the wipper snipper in there for a minute or so. Mulchs them up to almost nothing and makes great "free" fertilizer. The average age for a harvested Chrisrmas tree is 8 years, so hopefully you wont have to wait 40 years to see the new trees mature, lol.
Hey Chris. That's a great idea with the whipper snipper!! Thanks. You're not just pretty face ya know!! Waiting 40 years to get the trees to mature was kind of an exaggeration on my part for sure. But I think it'll be more than 8. You know most Christmas trees are fir, not spruce. But once the little guys get their heads above the scrub and ground cover, they'll grow like a preteen!! LOL Love ya!!
Yes indeed, there was quite a change in your 'forested' surroundings pre Fiona, but, nature will have it's way no matter man's best efforts, that's a fact! Oh well, on to better times and things I suppose. You video here about moving implements around for the coming season, is timely. My Brother and I just finished a rather major repair to my Tractor and now I too, have to move around my attachments as well. FELto be mounted, and snow plow mounted to that, then my rear mount snow blower to it's place, then put away my Forks,... ahh there's no rest for the wicked, some would say :) Please give Janet / Nannie a smile and a hug for me and take care of yourself too Mike.😀👍
How's she goin'? Well Reg, it sounds like you know exactly what I mean when I say 'moving day'!! LOL Tractors are great to have, but they are like a pet, they need constant care and attention eh!! Glad to hear you got your 'baby' back on the road again!! I'll tell Janet you said hello and you stay warm. Take 'er easy!!
Hello Grampie. I remember when you put the battery cable adapter on but I can't remember yesterday LOL 😂. It's funny how that works. Good job getting the attachments sorted. Have a good weekend my friend 🙏🔧👍
How's she goin'? Ha Ha Ha!! I can relate to you remembering past things but not yesterday!! Man that is so true eh!! After all the 'interruptions' I did finally manage to get all the attachments put back for the winter. But if the snow doesn't come till next year I'd be OK with that!! Thanks for watching Artie and take 'er easy!!
Hey Mike, that was another little big job. lol. Started out as a small job but once the tractor wouldn't start it turned into a big job. Everything is tucked away nicely. Hope Nannie is feeling better. Catch you on the next video.
How's she goin'? Thanks for your concern for Nannie Larry!! She is doing pretty good, but her bowel and bladder are still not totally on board yet!! The tractor not starting sure put a damper on the day's activities. I need to check out the GC2300 to see what's up with it. Having the battery go dead like that is not normal for it. Thanks for watching and commenting. Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? I spent some time in France in the '80s and the only show in English on French TV was Benny Hill. Brings back memories!! Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!
I really like those quick hitch gadgets, I have that on my tractor although I don't have many attachments,, also I made a set of forks,, they do come in really handy at times.
How's she goin'? The Quick Hitch makes swapping attachments a lot easier, but it's not real quick. I find you have to be lined up almost perfect to hook up and if the attachment is not level and flat it makes it hard to hook up too. The forks have really been a good mod for my loader too. Some handy eh! Thanks for watching Vernon. Have a great weekend and take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? The zip ties are man's best friend eh!! The poor Massey. It wasn't started all summer and I think it thought it was going to get the winter off too! Wrong!! LOL Thanks for dropping by the shop tonight Renaldo!! Take 'er easy!!
Even with the trees gone and all the destruction it's still a beautiful place, Mike. I don't know where you get all the energy from, you probably get more done before I get out of bed than I get done all day. I suppose it takes all that work to keep the place looking as good as it does. No tractor shuffle here but I do have the vehicle shuffle here every fall. I gotta move my truck and utility trailer away from the side of the garage so I can move both Miata's into the yard before there was too much snow on the ground so we can park my VW and her Honda in the garage in winter. This year the task was worse than usual because the fuel pump on my F150 didn't wanna cooperate. I ended up calling AMA to tow it around to the front of the house to park on the street. All the next week it snowed here and I got a text notice from the city that they're coming to blade the street in two weeks and all vehicles have to be moved off the street. My boss was awesome enough to bring his big RAM 5500 Dually to drag it around the block and push it into it's spot, saving me the cost of a tow or struggling getting it back there pushing it with my Jetta lol. Sorry for the long comment, but you asked if anyone else did the tractor shuffle lol
How's she goin'? No worries about the long comment Bruce. It was interesting. You have as many vehicles as I have underwear buddy!! LOL But it sure sounds like you can relate to 'moving day'!! LOL Too bad about your truck , but glad you have a good boss with a big truck!! Thanks for commenting and watching. Take 'er easy!!
Yes Fiona sure wrecked you nice trees :( Yes Mike it's Dec now anything can happen :) Good plan to clean up & get ready 👍, You have an awesome weekend my friend"
Good day eh! Thanks for dropping by Don!! We don't usually get much snow in December, but it is possible and I'd rather be doing this change over when I don't have to freeze my fingers off!! LOL I bet you know what that's like. By the looks of the weather in your area, you have been into winter for a while already!! I like the winter but I'm not too sure how I would be with 4 or 5 months of it! LOL Thanks again for stopping by. Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks for the positive thought there Len. You know Nannie and I already built our paradise and at this stage in our lives, I think our 'paradise building' days are over, but our boys can hoe into it and they are too. Chris already bought us the trees!! The great thing is, our boys can make it the way they want it now eh!! Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!!
Haha, moving day!! Yes, I do the shuffle. I am way behind on everything this year. I got the backhoe off and the snowblower on just a few hours before we got a foot of snow.
How's she goin'? Wow Rick, perfect timing for you eh!! I managed to get everything squared away but the snow didn't amount to much. By the next afternoon it was all melted!! Have a great winter buddy!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks for the comments Nev. Yes the tractor has heater plugs and they are all good to. I checked them last spring. The tractor has always been hard to start, even in the summer. The tractor has served me well. Amazing what all I have done with it! Take 'er easy!!
A little late to the show and catching up on vids from after our Caribbean holiday.........the seasonal shuffle I know what you mean........great spot there mike........those tarp shelters can withstand the wind here Mike.......a wast of time here unless you can stick it in some tight woods..............I dont miss racking leaves.......we have none here in NL.......and we had lots at our NS home........dont miss it all..........nice Massey.......you have a lot of gear there to maintain Mike...........almost ready for winter.....awesome.
How's she goin'? Wow, a Caribbean vaca!! That's the way to go eh!! This snow is all gone now Bryan. -16 last Monday with snow, +13 on Thursday with high winds and rain. The ice is even off the lake. Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!!
Good day bud I did some of the same things the other day I took the brush mower off the old Massey and put the snow blower on and the international I switched bucket and put the snow plow on the back mostly for weight and put the chains on so I think I am ready for winter take care have a great weekend
How's she goin'? Way to go Tom!! You're on top of things eh! I haven't taken my chains off the Massey the past 2 summers. With the yard work I had planned for the tractor after Fiona, I figured the chains would be good left on the tractor. Thanks a lot for commenting. Take 'er easy!
Your superpower is difficult to hide! I knew there was something about you, but couldn't quite put my finger on it... With leaf raking abilities like that you could have a side hustle making you millions! Too bad that all the summer stuff has to go away for a while. You could change the name of your channel to "House of Dead Batteries." What do you think of that name? Fear not---you aren't alone. When I returned from the baloney hunting grounds, there wasn't enough charge in my car battery to open the door! Not only that, the battery in my truck was dead as a nit! There wasn't enough life in it to blow the horn! Tractor looks good with the implements attached, and the lake looks really nice and calm. take care and hello to Nanny. Please pat the little squirrels for us Mike.🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿
How's she goin'? Dead batteries, shelters falling apart, attachments left out in the weather, battery boosters not working. It's a good thing I am in great shape eh!! Raking is a lot like painting for me. I DON"T LIKE IT!! Take 'er easy!!
HEY, Hey, Hey, It's Friday. You sound great bud. You sure have a lot of goodies for the Massey. All quality pieces. Then are the pieces from way back before the Massey when we had endless power in those/these old bones, LOL. As memory serves I thought you had a 2 amp battery maintainer always keeping the battery warm and ready to go ? If that battery is 5 or 6 years ago it is time for a new one eh. This jump/charge system you made is another add on done right. Looks like a dealer or the factory piece that looks original. You always know how things work, "the physics involved" in a project. With these new altenators jumping should be done with the donor vehicle not running. Two altenators at full output for less than a 1/4 second meeting head on I have seen the weaker system blow the diodes right out of the back of its housing. The 120V booster has protection diodes built right into them so if hooked up backwards they just don't work. Geoge Carlin would be impressed at how much STUFF you have, LOL. Thumbs up all the way fella. I sure enjoy these visits my old friend.
How's she goin'? Dean I bought the tractor new in 2006 and it came with a blower and a plow. Ever since I have been watching here and there and picking up some attachments. Then of course I made a few and enhanced the bought ones!! It's good fun!! The battery is about 3 years old. The tractor has always been hard to start. I had some suggestions that maybe there is a problem with cabling or some such thing and that's why it's hard to start. I do have a battery maintainer but of course I didn't have it hooked up over the summer. I better get my priorities straightened out before the real cold weather starts eh!! Thanks for the comment Dean. Take 'er easy!!
Hello Mike! Unfortunately, those temporary shelters don't seem to last too long, between the sun and the wind, they really get wrecked. I guess that's why they call them temporary lol. Boy, the Massey just didn't want to get out of bed that day. Looks like you are already for old man winter. We had some winter already here. I usually do the shuffle in the fall with my lawn equipment. Take care
Hello there John!! Thanks for commenting. I'm not sure if I have a bad battery or if there is a problem with the cabling on the Massey. It's always been hard to start, but the battery was almost completely dead and that never used to happen. Some further investigation is needed I'm thinkin'!! LOL I think if we have a tractor, we experience 'moving day' eh!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
Wow! you certainly have some gear there Mike. I must admit i prefer the open views you have now Mike. I love the super power 🤣🤣🤣🤣 how annoying are batteries!!! hate them,,,, never know where you are with them
How's she goin'? You know what they say Steve, "The guy with the most attachments wins!!" LOL I have to say that it's a lot nicer view of the lake now, but I do miss the trees. We're not 'secluded' here anymore. We can see just about ever other camp on the lake now!! No more taking a leak off the back deck around here!!! LOL Thanks for tuning in. Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks for dropping by Del. You know this shelter is open on one side, but just having the attachments under a roof to keep the sun and most of the rain and snow off them makes a big difference. And here's a tip for ya, if you get a sub-compact tractor you won't regret it even for a second!! They can do amazing amounts of work, you have to go slower. Oh yeah, and you'll need attachments too! You know what they say, "The guy with the most attachments wins!!" LOL Take 'er easy!!
Your ready now. Mike that's a new battery and it cranks so slow , not that much better with a boost. I'm thinking you have a cable thats corroded or the starter is pooched. My 30hp diesel starts at -10C so easily compared to your massey. Something is definitely wrong , some voltage drop testing maybe, that's my diagnosis:)
How's she goin'? Steve you might be onto something there. One time I had a bad chassis ground cable and it acted like the battery was no good. I'll be checking into that. The tractor has always been cold blooded and hard to start, even in the summer. But you never know eh!! Thanks for the heads up. Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? That's a good idea Dean! I was out today and it didn't start. It has been 5 days since I made this video. But it was pretty cold today too, so I put the charger/maintainer on it today and we'll see tomorrow what's up!! A new battery might be on my Christmas list!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
Good morning Dave! I would say there’s something not right with your tractor it shouldn’t start that hard eh. I had a similar issue with mine and found it was a loose connection to the battery, also my uncle who’s a mechanic took off the starter and cleaned it. Just some ideas, I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Looking forward to some snow pushing blowing videos! Take care
Hello there Russell!! Thanks for watching. I wonder if there is a problem with the tractor. I bought this new in 2006 and it was always hard to start from from the get go. One time I did find a bad chassis ground cable, but I repaired that. It would be worth checking the cabling again though eh!! Thanks for the heads up and take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks a lot for stopping by the shop. Yes sir. Our best laid plans are often overruled by happenings beyond our control!! LOL So nice to have you comment. Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? So nice to have you watch and comment Joe!! Thanks!! A trickle charger is probably a good idea. I have a battery maintainer in the tractor shed now. To be honest I never had much luck with them, but I think I'll try it again just to see. Thanks for this tip!!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? It's sure not the 1st time I did 'moving day' but dealing with all the 'issues' before I actually got to move attachments was not what I was expecting!! LOL Thanks for the visit Jason!! Stay warm and take 'er easy!!

That was a lot of moving but you got it done….Everything is stored away for the winter……CHEERS

How's she goin'? Thanks Dave!! I like the Bronco. It's easy to get access to the battery!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
And so it begins eh Mike. The cold start on the massy was a nice sound. Looks like you are ready for anything winter has to throw at ya.

Good evening Grampie and Nannie !!!
How's she goin'? Nannie and I always enjoy when you and Barb drop by the shop!! Have a great weekend and take 'er easy!!
WHEN YOU SPEED THINGS UP. IT REMINDS ME OF THE ILD BENNY HILL SHOW😂
How's she goin'?
Good ole Zip ties where would we be without them! eh Massey Ferguson just needed some external persuasion Go Bronco!!!!!!
Mike, you’ve got a blank canvas plate, built your paradise, 😂🚜
How's she goin'? Thanks for the positive thought there Len. You know Nannie and I already built our paradise and at this stage in our lives, I think our 'paradise building' days are over, but our boys can hoe into it and they are too. Chris already bought us the trees!! The great thing is, our boys can make it the way they want it now eh!! Thanks for watching. Take 'er easy!!
@ don’t blame you Mike, the child’s came have their turn 👍🚜
Haha, moving day!! Yes, I do the shuffle. I am way behind on everything this year. I got the backhoe off and the snowblower on just a few hours before we got a foot of snow.
How's she goin'? Wow Rick, perfect timing for you eh!! I managed to get everything squared away but the snow didn't amount to much. By the next afternoon it was all melted!! Have a great winter buddy!! Take 'er easy!!
Hi Mike, i love that little tractor so handy to have around, does it have heater plugs, good job getting stuff put away before the snow comes, 👍
Take 'er easy!!
best laid plans! 😆👍
How's she goin'? The motto of the wise is; be prepared for surprises!! LOL Take care and thanks for watching.
Howdy Grampie ❤
How's she goin'? Cold night tonight. Glad you dropped by to warm up the place!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
Trouble keeping my super powers in check :-)
How's she goin'? Ha Ha ha!! I didn't even know I had these super powers and now look at me!! LOL Take care and thanks for watching!!
Wow! you certainly have some gear there Mike.
@ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hello Mike , I really like how you keep all your equipment under shelter . I am seriously looking at a sub compact tractor . 👍🏻
@ LOL , most attachments win .
@@inthebackyardwithdel438 I've got 7!!
@ 😳
I am thinking that after a few days see if it will start. If not get that new battery so you won't get caught in the cold eh. LOLOLOL.
All great plans get postponed due to Weather, missing round too its....
How's she goin'? Thanks a lot for stopping by the shop. Yes sir. Our best laid plans are often overruled by happenings beyond our control!! LOL So nice to have you comment. Take 'er easy!!
Would a solar trickle charger for your tractor be useful? It goes a long way to keep the battery in my tractor ready and extends the battery life too.
@@GrampiesWorkshop Solar trickle charger with a quick connect on the tractor - does the trick
Oh yea, Looks like I am first today.
How's she goin'? Dean you know you are always number 1 in my book buddy! Take care!!
Hey mike, you are a prefissional by now
How's she goin'? It's sure not the 1st time I did 'moving day' but dealing with all the 'issues' before I actually got to move attachments was not what I was expecting!! LOL Thanks for the visit Jason!! Stay warm and take 'er easy!!
