After you're done answering each question, highlight the similarities and find the patterns. The answers that come up again and again point to what your ikigai is ✨
The 3rd question for me is still the most profound. The world needs a lot but what do it need from me. I appreciate how your content is thought provoking.
Ellen, this is such an introspective action. When you sit down to TRULY define your purpose, that is when magic happens and the "meaning of life" has a whole new definition. I'm curious to know your answers to those questions.
Absolutely, I agree. I feel like part of my Ikigai is to inspire and heal others. Making UA-cam videos is one of the ways I express my Ikigai, but I also love writing and creating events. What about you?
This was a great topic you have decided to talk about since it is such a common thing that people seek advice for. I like the question to ask yourself of "what are you good at?" That is super important to ask yourself just because we each have our own skill sets and that will help get you to a starting point
You were up late Ellen. I think I saw San Francisco in your B-roll footage. Do you live on the West Coast? - I really like this IKIGAI concept. I've heard Roberto Blake and Chris Do talk about this before too. What I have trouble with, after answering the questions, is narrowing down the handful of things I can offer into one focus. How did you narrow down your own interests so that you could focus and actually execute?
Stayed up late so I could post this video! I've been working on it for a while so I'm excited to share it with everyone. You're right - that is indeed San Francisco in some of my b-roll 🙂 I used to live on the West Coast, but I live on the East Coast now. I'm glad to hear that you like Ikigai. I think it's a really helpful concept for people who want more clarity about their next steps. That's a great question! I highlighted the answers that kept coming up again and again. I looked at how I could connect different ideas together. For instance, I asked myself, "If I love personal development, speaking and helping people, how can I connect all of these things together?" I thought about what I'm most interested in and excited about. I like to focus on what I am most drawn to at the present moment and allow the path to unfold. There are a lot of things I want to do, but I ask myself, "What do I want to focus on right now? What is the most important thing I can do in this moment?" I could easily go on and on about this (hoping to cover more about this topic in future videos), but hope that helps! ✨
@@theellenpham Thanks for such a thoughtful reply. Yes, your experience with finding your IKIGAI does help me. I think my hangups DO stem from forgetting that focusing on "right now" or the importance of "this moment" is all we truly have to work with. I often find myself mentally living in the future which has proven to be overwhelming for me and stifles my first steps in the present. Thanks Ellen. I'm glad you can easily go on with the topic of focus because it really helps me. Looking forward to it.
Ahh love your video and your energy Ellen! Ikigai has been a major facilitator for us finding our purpose! We actually also shot a video about it on our channel (still editing it tho hehe). Would love to collaborate if it ever makes sense, our mission is to make self improvement fun so I think we could create some really great content together..just putting it out there ☺️✨ Keep up the great work!! 💛
