Emergency services are dealing with an ‘ongoing serious incident’ in Nottingham, which has shut down much of the public transport, explains Natalie Fahy, editor at Nottinghamshire Live.

You clicked on it and even commented, so I guess they were smart?
Well, for me, who knew absolutely nothing whatever about it, I get a clear picture of an entire city centre closed down. As a major incident declared and with representatives of national bodies there, but with no report of violence as such, it indicates either chemical/industrial hazard (not so likely in the city centre) or they think there’s some terrorist base or bomb-making factory.

2 people were found dead this morning on Ilkeston Road. Another man was found dead shortly after at Magdala Road. A man in a white van also tried running down 3 more people at Milton Road. I believe 3 people have been murdered this morning and they look like a series of connected attacks.

From an eye witness that seen the bloke in the van described him as a black man with dreadlocks, and is probably why sky news has suddenly turned off comments on their channel.

Since they called in national-level major-incident people, and since there are no reports of ambulances or violence so far, then presumably they think there's some hazardous substance. Since it’s the city centre, it would seem less likely to be industrial and more likely to be linked to terrorism.
