I've been to Aqualand quite a few times and I've NEVER seen the waterfalls on the backside of the grotto! THEY ARE AWESOME!!! best corporate office in the world!
I miss my pond and all my pond plants so much...I would get in my pond every couple of weeks and just look over my plants, fertilize and remove spent blooms. I loved it. Of course my fish were always curious as to what I was doing. Lol The plants I loved the most were my Lotus, waterlilies, water hyacinth and water lettuce. I would put my creeping Jenny around my water irises. I loved seeing that chartreuse color against the upright irises. I would also plant water toro and chameleon plant together. Black toro with creeping Jenny around the base is also a very beautiful striking combination. I would always about my marginal plants as groups of a thriller and a spiller. God bless Ed...that big beautiful yellow butterfly Koi is gorgeous.
My new favourite youtube vlog. You do such a great job explaining the steps when designing & creating bio-diversity. Best Regards from British Colombia Canada. We are officially fans.
@@EdThePondProfessor can we use fully submerged very small underwater plants with a root system inside the gravel bed at bottom of the pond to prevent algal growth on the gravels at the bottom of pond(like we see inside of a aquarium) ?? and if yes, can you give few examples of such plants?
Ed, when I came to Aqualand land a few weeks ago, I absolutely loved the look of the plant Sarracenia Scarlet Belle. Our pond will be installed 1st week of October. I live in Northwest Indiana, do you recommend I wait till next spring to plant this plant? What are your feelings for this plant?
I’d recommend installing the plant this year allowing to take advantage of the snow and spring rains…… Sarracenia likes soft water so rainwater and snow melt is great! Make sure you use Peat Moss around the plant to create the proper acidic environment for it.

@@EdThePondProfessor thank you SO much for the info. I will have to call once pond is installed and see if you guys still have some in stock.
Do you supply frogs? I feel like that is a pod staple.
No,
If we build everything properly the frogs will come………
OK will the roots break through my liner and cause water loss.
Can you list all the plants please
💯🔥💙👍

I'm gathering experience
