Super helpful video, especially describing the biodiversity and how it helps make the balancing part easier. Thanks Professor!

love your videos. Planning on building a nature pond here in the UK early next year and all your information helps a lot. I do have a question on flow jets. What’s the best locations for them and should the jets run on a separate pump? Would be great if you had a video on this or if you could get back to me.. 🤓

      Great question!
Do you know what type of Lily’s you have?
Certain varieties will not survive in your zone,
If you have a variety that will survive make sure the plant is located in at least 12” of water(from base of plant to surface of the pond) other than that leave it alone!
Remove dead/brown leaves before the pond freezes(late November or early December)
      Good luck!

@@EdThePondProfessor Thank you. We have a American white waterlily and it is in the center of our pond that is 18" deep. We should be fine to leave it there all year round? Also we don't have to take all the stems off the lilly just the dead looking ones for winter?
Thank you for all your knowledge

Awesome build. What would the labour costs be on something of this scale, if the material was provided?
