The Porlock Lifeboat Rescue of 1899

My late mother recorded these two news items (local South West and national BBC) in 1999, 100 years after the famous lifeboat rescue in Porlock Bay.
I discovered the tape whilst clearing the family home in 2019 and decided that it was about time I converted it to digital format. Our family still have relatives in Porlock so it's a story we have talked about a great deal since childhood.
I hope this may be of some interest in Porlok, Lynmouth and beyond.
