I really hope I'm not misremembering, but I'm 99% confident that the SD1+SD2 Deluxe was a Wal-Mart exclusive, not a Toys R Us exclusive. As a youngster, I tagged along to my hometown Wal-Mart (and we did NOT have a hometown TRU, we had to go a few towns over for that) when we did our family grocery shopping, and I got my Yu-Gi-Oh related wishlist items from the card section while my parents were checking out (this was before self-checkout!). I distinctly recall seeing this, putting it on my Christmas wishlist, and receiving it that year - and it was important (to me) because my neighbor had the cards from SD1+SD2 from their original releases way earlier in 2005, except now *I* had access to Armed Dragon LV7.
I tried googling the UPC and other data on the back of the box, but the only corroborating piece of evidence I could find on the 'net today is the Pojo thread (I don't think you can link URLs on YT, but it's the usual URL scheme that ends in showthread(DOT)php?p=2829488 ) where Wal-Mart specifically is being discussed and someone mentions that:
"Wal Mart here has the Warrior Deluxe
Dragon/Zombie Deluxe
Now for $10 they're selling
"3 Classic Packs and 1 Promo"(got IOC/AST/PGD and a TGAF)

EDIT: I found another piece of evidence - if you google for "SD2-ENDE1 Wal-Mart" (without the quotes) (this is the Rope of Life promo), there are a few websites where the actual page itself does not have the text on it, but in the "description" meta tags in the HTML, it describes it as "Card Rules: Rulings powered by The Netrep API., Passcode: 93382620, Set: Wal-Mart Structure Deck Special Edition Promos, ATK/DEF: , Card Number: SD2-END...", - dnacomicsandgames and collectorscache both give it this treatment, which means someone, somewhere, labeled the "set" in their database as "Wal-Mart Structure Deck Special Edition Promos" for those cards. I'm 99.999% confident now.

Can definitely say I remember it being a Walmart exclusive. I still have my secret rare LV. 7 as one of my most prized possessions. (Granted younger me didn't really take of it, but I still got it.)

The Spellcaster's Command structure deck MUST have the STICKER with Magician's Valkyria on it to be the Special Edition. If it doesn't have it, it's not the special edition and it's not the one mentioned in the video. Thanks for viewing the video.
Prisma was also massively hyped and became a staple in Gladiator Beast in 2008 when this tin came out, which would also contribute to that tin being ripped open
Not only was the GX anime the best but the products and cards are just amazing. So fun to collect, rare, and beautiful!
sadly, many fans left when original yugioh series was over, thus the product from Early GX was discontinued early, fans only went back when middle episodes of GX
@@itachi-kun7736 its cause Gx is trash. It looks, sounds & feels like for kids. The original Yugioh can be watched by an adult and enjoyed because it has a more “mature” vibe to it. If you kno you know. Characters like Bakura, Kaiba, Merik… They were never able to re-create characters who were as serious, sounded as cool, or looked as cool as these guys and thats just one example. OG yugioh willl never be topped

Top 10 rarest card will be hard since there alot of SJC cards. But the rarest is Tyler the great warrior. Only one was made for make a wish foundation

Been really enjoying your videos the past couple days! One of the only sealed YuGiOh products I have is a 2006 Advent Calendar, I remember my mum getting me one as a child and it took me ages to find one, couldn't even find an image for a while. I remember the last door having an End of Anubis card. Not sure which version or rarity though but it's my favourite YuGiOh product because it holds a lot of memories but just can't find much about it.
I like how this guy recognises Simply unlucky as the OG of Yu-Gi-Oh tubers.

back then there wasnt even tracking available for shipping so I had to call the stores every week to get an update until it finally arrived in my mailbox
Hearing how rare the dragon and zombie deluxe is crazy. I got one of those when I was like 10 or something and I had most of the GX Target exclusives tins aswell as Chazz. Man huge throwback. Sadly I no longer own any of these cards anymore as mom either chucked them in the bin or lost when moving houses.
So cool man, if I ever win the lottery, this is the collection I'd want to work towards finding and completing

I forgot what year but i was a kid looking at the figure with card. It was burstinatrix and wingman figure back then first release. It was cheap but expensive for me as a kid back then. Never thought that thing would be that expensive.

Allot of old school Japanese products are extremely rare from the vol. Series packs to boosters & even they're sets that made up our tcg sets.
Great video & very informative that explains why I do see allot of GX era products skyrocket due to the rarity & now the short amount of product they released.

Target had these special packs that had some packs and one of the parallel rare figure promos. I could have got the Cyber Dragon one, but I got the one that came with Water Dragon. I also got a cube at Target a few years ago and it had the Mattel Thunder Giant promo.

I wish I never open my spellcaster command structure decks I had to go to maybe 5 or 6 target just get 3 them with valkyria so just to let you know they were Target exclusives cuz I remember driving back and four when those first came out just to get the valkyria ones
Feels so bad when I bought that Structure Deck Deluxe back in the day and of course I opened it and played with both of them. The zombie deck was a lot of fun. Would love to go back in time and tell my young self to not open it at all haha
neat i still have a mattel flame wingman figure (the one you put together that didn't have a promo that was the electronic giant flame wingman). it still has all it's parts i just played with it because i was still young then. also still have my red eyes darkness dragon from sd1 too.
I bought the GX Manga Vol2 just for the Rai-Oh, since I was using some anti-meta deck at the time. I had no idea how much the card was worth, and someone at locals payed me double the amount for the card alone. I returned to the store next week just to get another Rai-Oh to maybe do some more profit, but they sold out and the second print arrived, which didn't have the card anymore. Everybody bought that manga as soon as it came out, so I can see why it would be really rare to find one sealed right now.

Only product I hasnt seen yet is #7 and #3. I know someone who have Mattel cyber dragon. Even I have few of the Mattel cards myself I know I have 2x bubbleman and burstinrix. But armed dragon lv 7 secret used to have one along with rope of life both was sold while back. Probably the coolest card I have was UDE Ultimate rare flame wingman, water dragon and e hero neo aqua. you don't see them often. Honestly I think sealed legendary collection vol 1 is more rare than vol 2. I see vol 2 more often

I remember the ani manga and the gx mangas were always ripped open to get the cards inside. No wonder it might be difficult to find them sealed.
Everyone wanted prisma not just because hes an E hero and its the first printing, but because he was a staple in gladiator beasts and that deck was top 3 at the time.

what ive thought about a lot recently is how different the scene was back then. unless the card was was competitively viable or a prize card, no matter the rarity, nobody wanted it, so it was cheap. That probably has a lot to do with Konami/upper deck's decision to kinda short print a lot of these side products. There just wasnt that much of a collector market back then
I feeling surprised from the rare products they are mostly related to GX era
during this time, many fans left Yugioh bc it wasn't the same like the Original one, so many GX products were slow and they discontinued making the products
