i started off as a victor main, but im making the switch to lars because i think he will suit my playstyle more. i made it to mighty ruler with vic, which isnt the best or anything, but certainly far enough to understand the character, and why i think lars will be better for the kind of tekken i wanna play. thanks for this video. i look forward to hopping in the game after i take all these notes. i will say, coming from victor, having a d/b4 that has the same ch properties but is 5 frames faster is gonna be insane. i was already wrecking fools with victors slow ass 20 frame d/b4. oh man. 15 frame d/b4 is gonna be hype.

@@KaizokuLars thanks for the reply, I wanted to tell you that I recently started playing and I also play lars, you are my point of reference, really great
Lars is a good looking bro and has some effects thats why i picked him. Its hard to get into tekken after mk where there are so many characters with specific powers, special moves and animations and in tekken its just bunch of naked dudes fist fiting each other ahah. So i picked Claudio cause he does jojo poses and lars cause he is kinda electric. Sometimes i wish tekken had more special effect things like Zafina claws but i am not complaining hey
Haha I can understand that and nice these are my two characters as well lmao if you have fighting game experience then you won't struggle too much. It is a different game for sure but once you learn the mechanics of the game you should be good.
@@KaizokuLars i am a slow learner but i will manage. But its hella hard to combine all the moves into something dynamic, i still just lose to some low or 1 move spam from Jins and Kazyuas ahah
@@Kreasddjb I see, as I said in the video you have to accept your learning process. Just because you are a slow learner doesn't mean you can not reach the top. It just means you have to work harder for it. Also use the replay mode. You can control your character there so if you die because of someone spamming one move you can easily look it up there and see what the best option is to beat that :)
@@KaizokuLars Woah, moving in replay? I gotta try thats just for the interest. Thank, i wouldve never touched replay button without that advise for sure. I kinda like that i am a slow learner. I already have 4 characters which moves i am trying to remember and use. And labbed like 4 enemies. And i kinda like being slow, not hasting myself to meet the sweats. Fighting scrubs is more fun :D Thanks again and i hope you will enjoy this game for a long time. Do you think you will stop playing at some time? Cause i get that tekken games arent that different from each other. Mk1 turned out to be somewhat like mk11 and its part of the reason people are getting bored too fast (not the main reason thoug lol)
@@Kreasddjb yeah try it out! That's perfect if you enjoy it 🙌🏼 Nope, I don't think I will stop playing this game anywhere soon I just love Tekken, I love competing and I love making content. I just wanna do so much more in the future and there are goals I wanna achieve as a player. Before that I won't stop playing for sure.
@@KaizokuLars Yeah like Frame traps or tips to land the f1+2. After watching your video again, the df33 gives you enough space to land the f1+2 punish ^stuff like that was super super great!! Wish there was more! (if any?)!! youre seriously the best Lars player in the world
Ich küss doch dein Herz, einer der wenigen die Lars spielen und dann noch so gut. Weiter so bruder, irgendwann gibt es ein 1 v 1 xD Grüße aus Duisburg 47
nice guide! it would be great if you did a video on the thought process behind adjusting combos based on the wall distance. because the Lars combos go too far on the small maps or the wall break maps! 😭
For a minute I thought I was getting somewhere I got red rank with a 3 day old Lars… But then I went to player matches to take the pressure off and an orange (true orange.. not Tekken 8 fake, raised orange) Steve and Hwo just wouldn’t let me breathe The whole 6 rounds were one big frame trap. Tapping me with hits and if I tried to be patient and wait my turn, big lows would come It seemed like my only choice was to press too soon. If I waited even a split second they would go again I’ve had some hard matches but never have I actually been lost like that since Tag 2 I can have good matches with some great players but I rarely get stuck like that There was absolutely 0 chance of me finding a way in. Everything was so safe
There is always a chance to get out. I know that feeling too well especially when I was getting to the top Level I played against players where I felt like I could do nothing and there is absolutely no chance for me to do anything to them. But you have to realize they are human as well no matter who it is. There is always a way you just have to find it. The example you gave is literally mindgame. If they are hitting you with frame traps you stay patient. If they know that they go for lows. That's the time where you can disrespect there frames to make them go for frame traps again and them you stay patient. So you have to try to think how your opponent is thinking. It can be hard but as I said there is always a way to find a hole in your opponents offense. The key to find is defense and matchup knowledge. Take the experience and one day you will understand what I mean just don't give up.
Your welcome! I don't know about beginners I just know about torunaments in general. If you are on Twitter you will always get news about tournaments and stuff.

correct me if this is not important, but you didn't talk about uf3 which misses high shots and uf4 which misses low shots and is a safe shot, I think these are similar moves
uf3 is very risky and uf4 is something you can throw out more often. However it is easy to step. But yeah uf4 is something you could use more often I forgot about that lmao thanks!
I got a question I’d like to hear your answer to I wanna main Lars I think I’ve settled on that but I also enjoy playing around with other characters so you have any suggestions when it comes to practicing a main and still overall improving but also trying out other characters?
@@KaizokuLars okay thanks I and even just practicing a different character would help learning the matchup. I don’t have enough time to play to be really good at everyone but I’d like to have a main and some other people I can play and still have a good time.
@@Thebmanboss that’s the most important thing. If you have fun you will automatically get better even if you don’t have much time to play. And yeah I also learned a lot of characters because of that reason. Started to play them to learn the matchup and it really helps for sure.

It’s decent lol I’ve seen you’re gameplay you’re way better cause I won like two sets and I ain’t that good 😂 but it does show tools that you can use
Amazing! Thanks so much I love you I wanna hug you!
Your welcome 😂
LESSGO W guide i needed that
I am your big fan . Can you please teach us how to do lars limited entry to WS 2 mixup
When you enter limited entry try to hold down and wait a bit then do ws2. You have to find the right timing for it :)
thx for the guide
Thank you so much for this man ❤
❤️
Great guide! But I had a question how do you deal with people that fuzzy guard the sen mix?
You can Backdash after an attack? :D God I have so much more to learn. Great Video. Thank you!
Thanks! Don't worry experience is everything.
Great Video Thank you! one question do you think F1,2 into silent 2 or 3 is a good move to use in neutral to?
In the neutral only if they don't know the matchup. But it is risky since it's a fake mixup. Way better to do when f2,1 hits so better after a punish.
The "Ultimate" Larz guide would have the buttons for the moves you speak of! I am a noob...
I'm sorry but it was my first video like that, I can do mistakes :( will show the buttons in the next one. I did call out the moves though so if you learn the notations you will know which buttons to press.
Amazing guide thank you
🫡
great video man
Thanks :)
yess def needed this
Awesome guide.
time to take notes :D
My man came through!!!
Sick guide Thats why hes the goat.. THE GOAT!!
Great guide, really appreciate! Can you show us the optimal combos?
Thanks! I have a combo video on my channel too. You can find the notations in the description of the video as well :)
@@KaizokuLars thanks for the reply, I wanted to tell you that I recently started playing and I also play lars, you are my point of reference, really great
@@Berial88 Thank you! really appreciate it :)
Fighting scrubs is more fun :D
Thanks again and i hope you will enjoy this game for a long time. Do you think you will stop playing at some time? Cause i get that tekken games arent that different from each other. Mk1 turned out to be somewhat like mk11 and its part of the reason people are getting bored too fast (not the main reason thoug lol)
@@Kreasddjb yeah try it out! That's perfect if you enjoy it 🙌🏼
Nope, I don't think I will stop playing this game anywhere soon I just love Tekken, I love competing and I love making content. I just wanna do so much more in the future and there are goals I wanna achieve as a player. Before that I won't stop playing for sure.
This is the best Lars guide compared to the other ones
Can we get even more sets up for f1+2 on the next video?
Thanks :) are you talking about setups after a combo? Or like frametraps?
@@KaizokuLars
Yeah like Frame traps or tips to land the f1+2.
After watching your video again, the df33 gives you enough space to land the f1+2 punish
^stuff like that was super super great!!
Wish there was more! (if any?)!!
youre seriously the best Lars player in the world
@@enerdgeticu really appreciate the kind words bro 🙏🏼 I will write it down and make a video on that in the future ✍️🏼
Thank you thank you@@KaizokuLars !
You really opened my eyes for spacing and waiting/patience for whiff punish
Complete game charger for me!
Dash blocking vid would be really appreciated 😄
you should put the button notions for 6:53, i need to practice this combo
I will do it next time! Check out my combo Video I put notations in the description and the same combo is there :)
nice guide! it would be great if you did a video on the thought process behind adjusting combos based on the wall distance. because the Lars combos go too far on the small maps or the wall break maps! 😭
I could do that in the future but it kinda depends on where you start the combo. Or do you mean when you launch someone in the beginning of the round?
@@KaizokuLars not really at the start, just adapting combos to various wall distance in general.
@@Maxwell-yg3fr I can do a wallcarry combo in general yeah that is what I had in my mind anyways.
How do u feel abt lars' strength compared to dragunov, reina, strongest chars?
He is strong, but not top tier. The characters you mentioned are stronger for sure.
Finally I can hit God of Destruction now 🙏
Easy 😅
For a minute I thought I was getting somewhere
I got red rank with a 3 day old Lars…
But then I went to player matches to take the pressure off and an orange (true orange.. not Tekken 8 fake, raised orange) Steve and Hwo just wouldn’t let me breathe
The whole 6 rounds were one big frame trap. Tapping me with hits and if I tried to be patient and wait my turn, big lows would come
It seemed like my only choice was to press too soon. If I waited even a split second they would go again
I’ve had some hard matches but never have I actually been lost like that since Tag 2
I can have good matches with some great players but I rarely get stuck like that
There was absolutely 0 chance of me finding a way in.
Kaizoku! It's me your favorite Lars player 😂(look at the name lol) Thanks for this bro! Cant wait to watch it!
Haha thank you bro!
@@KaizokuLars hey bro, I posted on your wall on metafy. Don't know if you got the notification. Let me know if we can work something out. Thanks!
@@RunningWild. I didn’t get it I will check it out. Message me on twitter please
@@KaizokuLars I don't have a Twitter account 😭 I'll try to create one. The message was on your wall on metafy though. It wasn't a direct message.
@@RunningWild. you can also message me on discord my name is the same as here :)
If you haven't can you make a dash block video
I wanted to do it in the future :)
Got into Tekken and Lars like a week ago so that helps a lot thank you! Also do you know of any online tournaments for beginners in eu?
Your welcome! I don't know about beginners I just know about torunaments in general. If you are on Twitter you will always get news about tournaments and stuff.
i think its the best guide out there just plz next time put the unpit on the screen
Thank you but what should I put on the screen? You mean inputs?
Great vid! Can we see the inputs in your next vid?i just started learning tekken and its really confusing not seeing the actual inputs.
I would recommend you to learn the notations since I was talking about them in the video. But yeah I will also show the inputs in the next video 🫡
Will do bro ,thank you !!!@@KaizokuLars
Man how tf am i meant to remember all these moves
Stuck in shinryu. Can’t get out with Lars UGHHHHHH
Practice how I said it in the guide you should make it to purple ranks with that. Just don’t give up and enjoy your learning process.
im trying to get out of red ranks thank you
you can do it for sure :)
I thought I could use some of his moves in tekken 6 looks like I'm going back to 0 since some his moves are now gone
Yep, the moveset is kinda different for Tekken 6 Lars but he still has some moves from that game too. Don’t worry you will get used to him.
I saw you have metafy but only tekken 7. Do you plan to pick that back up for T8?
Yes I have it for Tekken 8 too. I will start giving coaching on the 15th April again. If you are interested you can send me dm on twitter or discord.
My discord is: KaizokuLars
@@KaizokuLars sent you a friendrequest on discord
i dont rememb if u say about db1+2, now its a auto dash into D Entry
Yep didn’t talk about it. Never use it to be honest so I didn’t wanna talk about it.
Hello is it possible for the opponent to interrupt Lars 1,4 with a jab. Lars is +8 after 1 and his 4 is 22f
What do you use tò play? Controller, fight Stick etc
Controller, Hori Fighting Commander
I saw on your metafy, you only have Tekken 7 options. Man I would love to get in discord with you and pick your brain.
I need to update it. I also do Tekken 8 of course, I am on a break at the moment that’s why I didn’t update it. You can message me on discord if you have any questions regarding the metafy.

What is that punch that puts Lars in SEN? Around 43 mins into the vid
Don’t know which one you mean but he has DEN1f db2f and df2 as punches that goes into SEN.
correct me if this is not important, but you didn't talk about uf3 which misses high shots and uf4 which misses low shots and is a safe shot, I think these are similar moves
uf3 is very risky and uf4 is something you can throw out more often.
I would say do some Lars only sessions and whenever you play friends or casuals try someone else and see how it feels.
@@KaizokuLars thanks for your responses your input has really been helpful and your videos have been noticeably helping my gameplay 👍
@@Thebmanboss Thank you brother, appreciate the kind words 🙏
