Why is is bad to show proof before
making a false statement could you land you in more trouble than original offence. in uk Making a false report could lead to a fine, a conviction for wasting police time or even a prison sentence for the more serious offence of perverting the course of justice. The offence carries a maximum penalty of six months imprisonment. way worse than crime they were doing, but if you can prove (if) insurance fraud that could be 6 months in prison too im im gathering if it first time but if yo found to be working as gang then things change Fraud Act can result in up to 10 years imprisonment, if the fraud was carried out as part of a broader criminal conspiracy. so allowing them to lie to police makes all the other charges they face judge less likely to be leave them puts the in far worse place. some country's much more harsh some less but either way lie to police never going to go down in a court room @@OrdinaryGoomba
The problem is that they never go to prison. Even the policeman didn't try to catch the woman scammer, he let her go. That's why they're trying even more. Justice is more and more skewed to the disadvantage of honest people, and that's all around the world lately

Good tactic. The people featured in this movie are mentally unwell. They can react unpredictably, and if they find out you have evidence of their crimes, they may choose to attack you and try to get the evidence.
Just having them stay in their own delusional world is a lot better.
On the downside, you have to go to court, because the scammer thinks they stand a chance there.
With the evidence they know they don't.
They're mentally insane, but not stupid.
The most dangerous kind of insane.

Everyone's so excited about catching it on their dash-cam, that they just have to tell them, "I've got it all on dash-cam!" When it's much more decisive with your insurance and the police when you just shut your mouth, let them lie their faces off, then present the video. It adds the element of being able to charge them with filing a false report and in some cases, to add a charge of assault with a motor vehicle.
That is a good advice for so many reasons.

Sure, but most people have better things to do than deal with suing these scammers. If there was no contact and showing them you have a dash cam will make them go away, most choose to do that.

I had a guy throw his van into reverse and back into me at a red light once. Tried to blame me for it, took off and ran, and then lied to the cops when they found him. Not sure if it was insurance scam (ow my neck) or just stupidity, but there wasn't any meaningful damage on either vehicle. I was still pissed as hell though. I definitely have been meaning to get a dash cam ever since.
Stop "meaning to" and do it. They don't cost that much, and can save you a fortune.
I think at first it wasn`t a scam but as soon as he realised what he did he tried to blame you which is a scam. Dashcam is always a good idea. Stay safe out there! :)

It was the noise that got me. I know it was probably added in as a sound effect but I like to imagine that 'donkkk' is the actual sound folk heard. Hope she was ok though, having tried to steal a few as a student, I know they're not light.

About 5 years ago a person walked in front of my car when I was driving home from work. I ended up hitting a tree when I swerved to avoid them. They took off right after. It didn't occur to me until much later that it might have been a scam attempt. It seemed obvious that they saw me coming. Very strange.

A lot of time people always assume they have the right of way... it doesn't matter if they are on foot J walking, on a bike or in a car. People just assume they are always right when on/around the road.

For a long time Austria didn't have such scammers, but recently they started their thing here too and I'm going to buy a dashcam for sure within the next weeks ... people are going crazy on the entire planet...
Yeah, we are seeing these more and more so getting a dashcam is always a good idea.
People are getting desperate for money.
This is because the economy is on a downward spiral world wide.
I even had a wreck last year that could have killed me if I reacted any slower.
A 2020 Tacoma had cut me off and immediately slammed on their brakes.
They were 6 inches from my front bumper when they did it.
Thankfully a cop was parked on the shoulder who saw the whole thing.
The reason this wreck was so dangerous was because I was driving a 98 ford escort.
Which are infamous for killing their drivers when the roof caves in and they are over the height of 5'4".
it ended up on the hood of my car and even had a tire crack my windshield.

My daughter was actually hit by a car while using her motorized scooter. THESE people on the other hand are foolish to think they could do this and get away with it. Try this in Australia, you will come away with a real injury. Guy tried it at a Gas station i was at, Aussie guy came over from a different pump and kicked the crap out of the scammer. Zero tolerance for bullshit

1:03 Bro probably glitched while joining on the server and got spawned upside down and is now stuck, or he tried to multi-task and do Insurance scam while working out and invented a brand new exercise along the way: "The reverse bus plank" :D The best and most hillalrious insurance scammers are the "drama queens" that perform an entire theathre play death scene as they get slightly booped by a car or get "hit" by a stopped car :D I am grateful that i have never experienced this, because i dont have a dashcam yet.

We had a street woman who was known for this stuff try that crap in Miami a few years ago. The poor quality video showed the driver and passenger get out, help her back up and forced her in their car. She was found, or what was left of her, in the swamps near Okeechobee. Be careful scammers, you never know who's in the car you're trying to scam.
I like to say that no matter how crazy you are there is always someone crazier.

This actully happend to me once. And i did somthing that they did not thought i played along that i hit them. And said i was super sorry and so on and so on. And we waited for the police. And the guy was very happy and thought this would be free money for him. But as soon as they got his information for getting the insurence. I just said ohh yeah btw i have a dashcam so we can look at what happend.

I was going home today and we were on 19th and the light turned red,I was in the right lane and a pick up truck in the left lane.
He barely slowed down and went through the red light,just about took out 2 cars turning left.....what a dingle berry.😮

While many of these are definitely attempts at insurance scams, I'm pretty sure at least 1/3 of them are simply drunk, high, crazy or stupid.
I think all of those go well together.
Just hit the gas and then reverse. Organ donors are in short supply.

Notice most of the break testers do it to trucks because of there poor breaks and the fact that they do more damage.
Trucks have great brakes but they are too heavy and they simply can`t stop like a car can.
Semis have amazing breaks.... the loads they carry behind them do not. So the truck itself gets stopped, but the force of the load behind them usually continues to move forward. Yay physics
