I just made a video about running everyday for a year. I’ve felt less alone on this journey because of creators and runners like you. Most people around me don’t get it. I truly appreciate you brother.
At 36 I started running for the first time since high school. Now that I'm 1 year in, I've stopped smoking, lost weight, competed in a biathlon and all around feel so much better!
Hello Göran, I'm an amateur runner from South America and I like watching your videos. I think it's incredible that people from backgrounds so different can be united by the same interest, in this case running. Congrats for the 1k days, I wish you best luck and keep it up with the great energy!
I know how you feel Göran. I'm quite lean as a person and many times people ask me why I run because I don't need it. The funny thing about when I go on my runs, all the other runners I meet on the way are also lean. People who don't run don't understand that it gives you so much more than burning calories. It's a very primordial thing and only when you start running you get it.
@@tabish_ slowly increase your running mileage, strength training and i also think running on different surfaces like trail or grass to lower the impact from running on roads every day
I really like that you’re emphasizing the importance of not putting too much thought on losing weight/burning calories by running. Running can be awesome with the right mentality but I think the reason some people see running as “bad” is because they’ve connected it with that thought of doing it only to lose weight which can lead to an eating disorder :/ . Anyway just thanks for making this video more about keeping up with good habits!
Thank you for this video; the timing was perfect. I was sat on my sofa thinking I'm just too tired for a run (I've only had hard feeling runs recently) and then I thought, well I could probably manage 10 minutes. I went out and did 15 minutes and really enjoyed it. Thank you
Wow. I've nearly run as far as you during this time, but run about 85% of days. I'm not on any runstreak. Sometimes can run 2 months straight, other times have a few days off. I'm simply listening to my body now and trying my best to run nearly every day. At the moment, I've felt better and fitter for it, but neither am I going to always force a run. Well done Göran. Keep up the great work.
I bet it does. I was also inspired to start running every day. I however I just started running. When you are going to start your running journey, don’t run every day, but take resting days. Once your body is used to running, I bet you can really start running every day. I have to take it slow and first recover from my injuries before I can start running again. I can’t wait to start, but I have to start slow. Congratulations on your 1000 days.
Love your videos and positivity. I always aim for 10K steps a day whether walking or running. Furthest I've run so far is 10km, usually 3 times a week. Only started running in May this year so it's a journey for life. Aiming for a half marathon next year. That fake picture could have been me. I've gon from 102kg to 66.5kg. 35.5kg weight loss. 😊 Feel much healthier. Thank you for the motivation.
That's awesome! I too have started around May 2022 and i am so glad i started taking running seriously. I used to also try to make sure i walk at least 8000-10000 steps a day to just make myself feel productive during the day. Now i'm trying to increase my distance to 10K. I am running 5-8K at like 5:30km pace. Will be running a 10K event in Feb 2023 and hope i will be able to get through it with ease!
Wow 1000 days running. Congrats on that 🙌🏻. I would love to be able to do that but lately I seem to catch every bug going around and get too ill to run now and then so would lose the streak. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Really nice having an update on this seires, I love the segment with Jonne, you and unlazy are some of myfavorite running UA-camrs, and I just love the content.
wow! congratulations! i went for my first run this afternoon after watching your videos and my goal is to run 10km without stopping thanks for the inspiration
At 55 now I'm not fast but have run over 4000 miles since April 2021 . I run every single day, and still have my fast days , Mondays are half marathon day and still under 2 hours sometimes. I've heard the warnings about running every day but think it's rubbish. Look how small and frail a bird is yet can fly around the world. Fish swim , birds fly and we were made to run . Only people who run understand the passion. Keep rolling everyone 🤗🤗
Love your videos very inspiring, i Just started my journey about a month ago I'm only running about 4 days a week and going 2 miles a run 18-25 minutes usually but man is that tough enough, looking to go a full 5k soon and see how long it takes me can't wait!
Hi Göran..I’m 10 mins from a 5k long beach..best beach in the world I’ve ever seen for running..I used run 10k on it about twice a week..but 7 months ago I decided to try run it every day..a lifestyle thing..I manage about 25/26 days a month coz life/work gets in the way sometimes..but wow I absolutely live for it now and the benefits to my overall physical and mental well-being are just extraordinary…feel better than I’ve ever felt before in my life…I recommend running on sand..NO INJURIES
Hey Göran, amazing job! I've been following you for a long time and it's great to see you progress. I've started myself about 4 years ago, running a minimum of 10k every day. Unfortunately two injuries prevented me from getting a full streak (I missed about 16 days in total). But I'm back on track and next Saturday I will try and run my first 75km trailrun race and try and push myself a bit further! Your channel and other creators definitely helped me along the way! There aren't a lot of people who understand it! Again, congratulations on your streak mate!
Same here Göran. I run about 80k every week during the last 3 years and I keep weighting the same (of course I eat a bit more than before). Thanks for the inspiring video.

I have counted my running streaks based on consistence workouts during the week. I aim to have to have at least 5 days of running, if not possible with 4 days I would feel happy. I think if I ran every single day my wife will question me more, haha, but I just keep telling her it helps me to balance everything else. It's worth it, even the days I have a bit less motivation or sore body. It only takes 5-10min to get our body and mind ready, after the minutes fly by :) Let's keep counting, for more healthy running days.

Amazing achievement Goran! I think I’d get injured for sure if I ran 8k every day, currently running 30k a week but always building, I will get there one day!
Over the last few years I have exercised nearly every day and it has really worked for me. I run most days with my dog, but mountain bike one day and do a circuit training class another. Consistency really works, getting outside on the trails is such a good break from a busy day. I’m 53 now and plan on keeping this as part of my life for a long time into the future. Keep the videos coming Goran.
'Short run' of an avg of around 8.8 kms a day is not that short . 😀 ..Amazing level of commitment and so inspiring journey of yours. Whenever I feel a little tired or difficulty in my morning run , scenes of you running flash in my mind. In fee seconds, the run becomes relaxed again. Thanks for inspiring and helping me.
Haha yeah I guess that is something you have to build to and most days my morning run is a lot shorter and then I do a longer run in the afternoon some days 😊 That makes me really happy to hear! 😁
Thank you for sharing this journey with us. Even more amazing is how you've incorporated this habit in your life with children!!! May your habit of running continue for the rest of your days!!!
I completely agree with you. Running everyday is an amazing habit which has changed my life. In the beginning it was important to count the days now after 911 days, I just do it. Thank you for your sharing 😉 (Also excited to reach 1000 in a few time )
Congratulations my friend. One question... What camera or cameras did you use to record this video and... the images in which you are talking in the foreground, do you use the same camera as running? Thank you
Have you been running through to any illness? as I had some 678day streak in past which I ended with 38,3C° fever then after 3day rest I did 104day streak which also ended with 38,3C° fever and after 6day rest I'm at 79day right now 😊
Congratulations on your comma day :) I just made it to day 502 today. I don't think I've seen you on the Streak Runners Association list yet? It's free :)
I am going for 2 years and around 20 days... Trying to increase the daily distance gradually, doing 5 km a day now. Unluckily I am felling a pain in the base of my first metetars ... Could be a stress fracture, or one developing.... 6-8 weeks of rest is the treatment. But I don't want to break the streak.
maybe he just isn’t sick. I haven’t been sick the last three years, it happens 😅 (and i do nothing special, just no drugs, mostly healthy food and washing hands straight after returning home oh and good sleep & nice workouts)
I do running and swimming alternatively. In this way, my legs get chance to recover from running stress. It also give me chance to exercise full body muscles. My daily range is circa 12km mostly on a treadmill. Yeah sadly no fresh air of country road & beach.
If you are going to run every day, you need to run most days so easy so that when you finish your run you should feel like you could do the same run over again. Otherwise you won't recover for the next day. Look up super compensation if you want to build fitness.
!! Well done on your 1000+ day streak! I don't know if you or Ron Hill inspired me to run every day for 30 days last year, but that time has been amazing but challenging as it's not my habit yet. I have a question for you! What makes you think, oh this will be my 2nd day of the running streak. if you have already run 6 times a week and what makes you think I can do 7 days a week and keep a streak going.
I think a few words on how you build it into your training plan would be useful. I guess you run everyday in the morning at a recovery speed so that it actually benefits your body. I, therefore, wonder how many days you run twice a day 😀 Or better to ask if you also broke your morning run habit because you decided to have only one run in a day (lob, interval,....)? I am thinking hard to get a habit started to run every morning a 15-20min at very low pace to get my day started. But then you cannot have it all. I have my morning routine, which has some yoga/stretching - in the end a trade-off ^^
Good job! Very impressive milestone. You are my hero. Thank you for the guidance! I run 5 sometimes 6 days a week. Should I be upset with myself if while on a run I don’t complete the distance I stared to complete? Sometimes especially at the end of the week my 5 mile might just be a 2.5-3 miler. I find myself being discouraged when I do that.
Yeah but not walking fast from month and a half as an experiment and it's made a big difference especially in your legs to move my ability and how you're happier little bit of runners high
once upon a time i thought that running is stup*d why do people go out and run its not like they were chased by some wild animals. now its been 3 years since i started running, at least 5x a week, i never thought i would enjoy this, yet i really am!. to think again from outside-perspective, running is actually boring, consist of repetitive movement over a duration/ distance. that's all. but i still enjoy it!
Hi Göran! I heard you made Orienteering and had struggles with injuries. Im doing Orienteering as well, but injured my right leg a couple times, last time around 6 months ago. I dont really have problems running, but everytime i take a step, my right leg does a knack sound. I tought maybe you know what i can do against this, because its really annoying and weird🙏
Indeed it does sound a bit crazy as you say. At my age I like my rest days from running but do walk, which apparently for the run every day website counts as a “run” streak. So have I been running for everyday since 2011? 🤔

What camera and equipment/ gear do you use for these great videos? Looking to buy my first setup :)
thank you for everything you do, it motivates me a lot.
I appreciate that!
This is amazing 💛
I think a few words on how you build it into your training plan would be useful.
I guess you run everyday in the morning at a recovery speed so that it actually benefits your body.
I, therefore, wonder how many days you run twice a day 😀
Or better to ask if you also broke your morning run habit because you decided to have only one run in a day (lob, interval,....)?
I am thinking hard to get a habit started to run every morning a 15-20min at very low pace to get my day started.
But then you cannot have it all. I have my morning routine, which has some yoga/stretching - in the end a trade-off ^^
Yeah I run twice a day most days most days two slow short runs and some days longer or a more proper workout in the afternoon 😊
Well done buddy you are such a great role model
Thanks makes me happy to hear 😊
Fantastic advice!
Grattis :)
I'm so inspired!
1:36 :'D absolutely made my day! You are amazing! :)
Congratulations!
Thanks!
Great. I’ve been running every week day recently and then UA-cam kicks me with this. 😂
Göran, how did you avoid injury during these 1000 days?
