that looks so good!! I bet the tomato juice is awesome too. I love anything made with tomatoes, homegrown ones that is. Even though the tomatoes tend to wreak havoc with my muscle and joint pain, I eat them anyway.
Kimberly it’s so good! I can hardly wait to make more next summer 😋 I’ve never heard of tomatoes causing joint/muscle pain..maybe I should do some googling…
@@JustTheTwoOfUsHomestead i read some time ago that night shade veggies cause inflammation. Seems a losing battle to me, everything we eat tends to create inflammation. Like you, I have tried everything, some things help, but mostly just eases pain. Through the years,(I'm 60) Ive just learned to pace my work, rest when I know i need to and eat what I want. Prayers for an awesome week. I love those garden boxes you have, they look so neat.
You go girl! That looks and sounds so good! We love to have a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. Don't you just love using everything up and not wasting anything? That's awesome! Let us know who won the coin toss for the soup! 😁 Hope you both have a great day! 💙
I won the soup toss but Frank drank the majority of the tomato juice so I guess it was a tie 😉 We went from hot and humid 85+ degree weather to 50ish cold and damp weather…perfect for grilled cheese and tomato soup weather!
Sounds like a win-win for both of you. 😄 Our weather has been about the same, but we were still having 90-plus weather as of last week. Highs 80s earlier this week, but low 70s now. We had some very cool nights high 40s- low 50s. Fall, Winter and Spring are my favorite seasons, but especially Fall. I really like them all, but the heat here can be so brutal. Enjoy your day, sweet lady! 💙@@JustTheTwoOfUsHomestead
Sounds delicious! I pulled all my tomato plants yesterday, it is getting into the upper 40's here at night so they wouldn't have been able to ripen. I'm going to miss the garden and being outside, I am NOT a fan of winter, ugh!
I’ve barely pulled anything in the garden. It’s been raining so much. The next few days look better 🤞🤞I couldn’t agree more about winter!! I already miss being outside and it’s just from a few days of rain 😂
Lyn, I just read further down in the recipe and it says you can freeze it as well. So if you don’t want to pressure can, you freeze it 😀 I’ve actually done the reverse in other recipes…I didn’t have freezer space so I presser canned 😉
Hi Carol! Thank you for joining us 😀 I got six and half pints which is about 13 cups BUT I made my soup quite thick. If you don’t want it thick I’m sure you could another pint or two.

What kind of tomatoe press do you have? The mention of your ketchup video made me press the subscriber button. I’m looking forward to getting to know you.
Hi Nancy, my tomato press is made by or called Gulliver. I bought it at a yard sale years ago but I think you can still get at Amazon. I guarantee you are going to love the ketchup!! Thank you so much for joining us ☺️

Why would you have to pressure can?
