The voice actor is Boris Hiestand and he also voiced rued in this game and another character (which I forgot the name of apologies). He has also voiced sigma from overwatch

It's pathetic, ubi has a huge budget and countless employees, how aren't your designers putting in proper hit responses to make successful attacks feel satisfying? This is the AAA space for God's sake. I fear it may just come down to the publisher not giving its team the amount of time to do these games justice.

Man, they did Fenrir so dirty. Ive always envisioned that if the Aesir hadent betrayed him out of Paranoia, he would never have desired them doom. Its kinda of like one of those "One meets his destiny in the road he takes to avoid it" moments. He was just a good big boy who trusted.

Is it me or..during the fight scenes does it seem like striking an opponent has little to no impact? Like swiping at a ghost

I don’t blame Fenrir’s anger towards them. They’re the reason he turned out like that.
Kind of. He is son of Loki and naturally had wickedness in his heart. It's true he was betrayed, and he may have befriended the gods, however before he died he had his vengeance on Oden and his offspring devour the sun and moon. One of the most impacting characters in the religion. He doesn't show up in the stories as often but he for sure plays a huge role.

The whole Norse mythology playable part of the game is a facade. If you see the ‘secret’ ending you get from collecting fragmented memories, you’ll see Odin and the rest were just Isu and the whole norse/asgard aesthetic were a figment of Eivors imagination.
Wow. No collision effects on combat, or movement into another character body, cheap animations, horrible/nonexistent sound effects. They can try to fluff this game up all they want I know lazy game development when I see it.
I don't get why they just decided not to have any theme whatsoever for many of the boss fights in the game. Having complete silence save for dialogue in a bossfight just makes it feel so empty.

For all the people throwing a fit, this is when your character takes hallucinogens and has a vision about being Odin. You don't ACTUALLY fight Fenrir. Your character trips balls and imagines fighting Fenrir.
That does not mean you as a game developer should do a shit job.
Having actually played it, it's fine as a boss fight. It feels like a badass battle between Odin and the Dread Wolf.

I think he looks suitably monstrous. The gods strangled all the kindness and beauty out of Fenrir with their cruelty and now he is the horrid monster they all dread him to be. Plus this is Eivor's vision, so it would be exaggerated by his own idea of what Fenrir is supposed to look like. All these Odin visions are a story about the Isu masked under mythology. This all looked and played out very differently in reality.

What I really dont understand about this direction assassins creed has taken is, why are they trying to be a souls game they're muscling on on another franchises turf when they literally used to have such a unique selling point before and theyve completely given up on it. Who is steering the ship at ubisoft this just looks like a worse version of dark souls with barely any buildings
I think that, generally, nothing last forever. Ubisoft didnt like that because tha AC franchise sells well, so instead of letting it died in glory they are milking it for as long as they can

My personal favourite AC game. I love vikings and their mythology. I dont care if its not like other AC games who cares? I enjoy this game more than the other ones.
Nowhere comparable with God of War though. Both are extremely historically/mythologically inaccurate, but God of War gave better skins.

The graphics are terrible. The sound design is garbage. The voice acting is cringe. The story doesn’t make sense. This is a incomplete game with zero new ideas or creativity and overall just disappointing....this is becoming common of Ubisoft now sadly, hopefully they’ll get their act together again and make better games but now they are losing so much respect.

So my story about this fight, I used a hammer in my main hand and its range wasn't good enough to hit his legs so i thought you could only use arrows so i got him down to 3/4th of his health with only arrows

I for one am glad they are expanding on this and I've enjoyed this Valhalla story arc.
Every time I fight this thing he spazzes out in the cutscene and does something stupid, he went underground and I couldn’t kill him, and at one point he somehow launched me into space which killed me.
Edit: I beat him, the final cutscene was hilarious, I tied up the essence of his soul and hurried him in the ground so he looks like a glowing rock now.
