They’d probably be too clouded by their pride to care. Probably say some cliche shit like “Oh how to mighty have fallen! Guess Olympus wasn’t as strong as they say to have been destroyed by a mere mortal!” Even after all the stuff Kratos has done, and all he heard, Thor still wanted smoke, and even mocked Kratos in order to let out the true god of war… Boy was Thor lucky that Kratos has changed since then or it would’ve been a blood bath.
@@Minicario the Egyptian pantheon didn't take it lightly tho. When kratos came to their lands, or rather just passed by. Not a single god dared cross him ( except thoth, but that was in one of his dreams so it don't count ), probably because of fear or worse, the entire fall of their own pantheon.
Just realized that Kratos always takes a moment to look around world whenever he kills a god and what consequence that bring. It just hits much more different when he said "There are consequences when killing a god" to Atreus. He was so scared that carelessly killing modi might bring a catastrophe in one of the realms, possibly midgard. He couldnt careless of what happens to Olympus, but he cares about the world that has given him a second chance in family and life.
The most unbelievable thing in this game isn't the 50 foot tall giants, the lightning-infused swords, or the ethereal beings influencing the real world. It's that HERMES thought he stood a chance against the man who took out Posiedon, Helios and Hades.
That's because Hermes (or Mercury if you're a Roman) was supposed to be a "quick wit". He's that "wise guy" who always thinks he's at least a step ahead of everyone else.

@@nicholasjayaputra5754 Yes, at the end of the game, an extra scene with Athena's ghost explains the reason for why it was empty. And if you think about it, Kratos slaughtered gods right and left during the game, the flame sealed there was the power "to kill a god", in other words, Kratos already had acquired that power before(also so sacrificing Pandora for the empty box was a needless loss, but it gives some more lore or smth)
You know in taking this stroll down memory lane, I realize why Kratos didn't feel too good about himself in these later gmes. And that last dialougue with Hermes hit so different. "Today you may defeat me. But in the end, Kratos. In the end you'll betray only yourself."
@Roberto The Super Mutant I never once considered that. And given the explanation of his loss of powers from his time in Greece in ragnarok it make this even more sad.
