While fighting the Turtles opens a lair of a dimension warp, and it seems past meets future, and yes Lord Chogonobu even fights Shredder and just like Leonardo, he too defeats Shredder without fail and tosses Shredder back to his present and the portal closes. This was enough for Shredder to go beyond of what you see and saw.
