Everyone has had that conduit search engine PUP at least once on their PC lol
Learning about all these different types of malware made me install AV/AM on all my computers and devices lol.

@Professor Messer So when you are discussing RATS, couldn't this classify any software that allows remote connections and that administrator that is connected to the machine? As I have used many commercialized versions of such software? Many of which do have the option to allow "unauthorized and administrated access". In most entry level technical support jobs though, you must have this software for it to work on your system and you must allow that "unauthorized and administrated access" so that when it messages you, they do not have to wait". Usually they give you a two way authentication message reading "Your appoint with x of your company's it department is ready for your appointment". Wanted to check with you to get a bit of clarification on that.
A legitimate and known remote administration program is not malicious and we wouldn't categorize those as Trojans.
I used to get those unwanted browser software often.

I stopped and went to Malwarebytes website as well. Then I actually was reading the Synmantic "This product is safe" logs to ensure I wasn't missing anything. Even made a backup(offline) before hand. I think Professor Messer's knowledge is starting to show, hehe.

Can malware be used for good purpose? Like add malware to my child’s computer so I can track his activities.
That's not malware. That's simply monitoring. The term "mal" implies bad intentions. Unless you have truly malicious intentions to use the software, it wouldn't be considered as such, and definitely would not recommend using malware for doing such activities. This poses an ethical issue.
