Nice video. I have a question. Im a new trapper and I have done 3 fisher now with this method and it works good however I notice that the middle of my fishers seem to remain slightly softer than the rest of the hide. I removed the saddles on 2 of them and got them nice and clean with saw dust but they still just seem a little soft and greasy on the back just behind the front legs. Even after a week with a fan running up through the case and wiping the grease. Just curious if this is common with fisher or not. My beavers seem to dry perfectly in the same room and conditions so im a little unsure. Its not super "wet" it just doesnt have that papery, crunchy feel that the rest of the hide has. Also by the end I find this leaves the pelt more tubular shaped than flat. Any tips for re-flattening after drying or is it even super necessary for the auction. Maybe leaving them under a plank for a bit to flatten. Again great channel. Thanks
The plank thing will work once you turn them back fur side out. When you remove the saddle you expose some of the oily tough parts to dry. I leave it on. Makes them harder to turn but easier to dry.
Yes I would like to see how you prepare one for buyers. I'm having trouble finding any buyers to take whole beavers so I'm going to have to learn how to prep them for tanning.

Do you have to pins the back legs again?
Nope. I just leave them. They tend to dry alright
