i dont mean to ruin the joke but my rtx 3050 can easily reach this fps with high settings but with 1440p. the reason is because valorant is a competitive game and is not really focused on ray tracing and graphics
One thing about Valorant is that it is a cpu based game more then gpu so if you have a 4090 and a ryzen 5 5600x the game would most likely run at like 200-300 fps instead of if the gpu was not bootle necked it would be like 500-1000 A simple 4060 or 4080 ti with no bottle neck on any parts would easily get like 1000 on low and 800 on high.
I honestly expect more fps because i have my gaming laptop playing music on youtube, having discord open and on an external 4k monitor 27inch i am playing valorant. In the range i get 700fps and in game it is anywhere from 350 - 450fps. My laptop has an rtx 3050 ti with 4gb gddr6 vram, 16gb ddr5 4800mhz, i7 12700h 14c 20t, 512gb samsung nvme m.2 ssd. Some people say that it is impossible to get this fps but i really can because of a few factors, my cpu is working at its absolute hardest and it actually hitting 100°c and unfortunately i am unable to replace thermal paste because it voids warranty, in my motherboard ive set it so the cpu runs as fast as possible and also because valorant is a cpu intensive game, it doesnt really matter what gpu you play on as long as you have enough vram for resolution and graphics. On my friend's laptop he has an i5 12450H with no dedicated gpu or extra cooling etc and it gets 200fps at 1080p so i dont see how you are getting same as me. I think it could be because you are also recording your gameplay at 4k
yeah bro same i have i71300hx with rtx 4050 laptop , idk why he is getting so low i expected much more even with ryzen 9 5950x even while recording at 1080p or streaming my game i discord at 720 I get around 380-500fps also depends on the game sometimes to 320-400 fps , never tried in 4k recording but I don't think that would affect much because he have so much ram and rom compared to my 16gb ram and 1 tb ssd and i was playing high in all graphics.

It's his cpu. Valorant is a cpu intensive game. He went all out on gpu where he could have gone with 4080 or 7900XTX and gotten a AM5 CPU within the same budget. A 7800X3d would easily give him 600+ fps

youre not using your pc to its full potential. By your specs, you need to upgrade your ram to 3600 Mhz or 4000 Mhz (personally it's an overkill). You should get at least 400 fps and above even with high graphics. Because valorant is such a heavy cpu-bound game instead of your gpu.

for context, no. you do not need a 4090 for valorant. i5 12100f and 4060ti 16gb (while at 50% load) got me 300-400 ish fps (i5 maxed out) in the range

It's a cable issue. You might need multiple display ports or HDMI ports to receive the full bandwidth and performance (240 hz)
