It is indeed very ninja tune, but it sounds a good bit cleaner than supermodified - 1970s to be true to your sons or the other players who have been a military place and a quietly populated world with a drum kit dirty FINGERNAILS and a lifespan that has be able to conquer the world and a lifespan of a non- in a row of the internet is a very scary place to live on and the USA was a bully and she died in a row of the internet is a very scary place to live on and the USA is the cerebellum- the nature of the obvious* with largeR! Thanks a lot! Yeah I wanted to make it longer, but I was at the point where I would either abandon the track or post it as is, and I went for the latter. Next time! :D
Soo goooood! Nifty bass playing too 👌🏻 For some reason I hadn't thought of doing the ol' 'mute the kick track on beat 1' trick on the OT. I've seen you do it a lot with the DT etc, but didn't think to do it here too :)
Thank you very much! I'm very happy with that bassline, hehe. Very fun to play. And the ol' mute trick works on the OT too! But the timing is way more strict because it mutes the audio instead of the trigs.
@@davidrauline9730 Hehe, thanks a lot! I'm using a Squier Affinity PJ bass with roundwound strings plugged straight into the Octatrack, no preamp or anything in between. I'm using just the neck pickups, and for some reason they're quite a bit hotter than the pickups on my Squier Jazz bass. On the Octatrack I'm using the filter and compressor FX. The filter drive is set high pretty high and I'm using the resonant filters to boost the lows and highs a tiny bit. The compressor is pretty aggressive. I'm using the init settings (max ratio) and lowering the threshold until I can play softly and it's still as loud as when I play hard. Finger noise is very noticeable when solo but it gets drowned out by all the other tracks. Since there's no preamp, there's very little presence and it sounds like the tone knob is turned all the way down even when it's all the way up. I'm really happy I'm getting a bass tone I like this way, because it's a hassle having to run my bass through an audio interface and plugins and into the OT. I can just plug it straight into the OT and get this tone :)
Love that beat! I was wondering what is it that you do at 1:08 (also at 1:20 twice) with press and hold cue+ trig button? It seems to mute/ change the tracks in a way a fill button would do or is it just instantly switching patterns in that moment? Anyways loved hearing new sounds from you :)
Thank you very much! When the trigs are set to mute mode, cue+trig is solo mode. So I'm soloing only the orchestra parts the first time, and soloing just the bass the second time (but it happenens to be during a silent part, so there's no bass) :D
Ahahaha… Guess what? It was exactly my plan to start the Elektrons and do something different today. Looks like there are unknown cosmic rays out there in the wild. 😂
Holy shit this rules
Thanks a lot! 🤩
"And now for something completely different." Monty Python

Nice, definitely an early Amon Tobin vibe on this one!
Thanks a lot, man! That's a huge compliment :D

Dear @@IvarTryti , we need to talk about that bass tone. How?
