That is a beautiful pen. Yes, Pelikan gold nibs are hard to beat. You have the most amazing FP collection, but that’s fitting because you have the most amazing handwriting.

Boss man, i got a quick question. I got my montblanc curved nib yesterday and the piston knob is really smooth. Compared to my 146 and 149 calligraphy flex nib which are a bit stiff. Just curious how yours is bec this is the first time i have a smooth piston knob. Even my naruto montblanc has the same stiffness too. Thanks.
Great point. I have curved nibs....one as smooth as butter...the other one, I thought would break if I twisted it harder! So, I proceeded to void their warranty and silicone it myself. They are both smooth as heck now. Has the same problem with [one of] the flex nibs. I greased it too, and we are both happy 😀. It seems like they forget to lube some of the pistons.
I think, this Pelikan Toledo becomes more meaningful if you have actually visited Toledo in Spain, and have observed the Damascene Sterling silver art produced there....
