This week I measure our new yard using moasure. I started a new job digging 300 metre trenches for a ground source heating system I came into problems of hitting rock but managed to get by them. I then show you guys the new house that is being renovated! - Авто та транспорт
A good start to Sunday morning. You're one of the few operators I've seen, who takes the time to separate the turf for backfilling the trench afterwards. The local schools are lucky to have you coming in to chat to the kids and inspire the next generation. An operator challenge for the kids would be something different for the school but insurance would probably be an issue. Great video as usual. Thanks for sharing your week with us
You must be blind I've yet to see her separate the topsoil from subsoil to gravels its a fucking mess and embarrassing
Thank you so much, this means a lot 😊
Amy, I think you are amazing. Not only a very skilled operator, but you juggle running a couple of businesses, being a mum, and being an inspiration for young people, especially the girls. And a superb UA-cam content creator on top, There are not many girls who would still be working with their Dad after 12 years, but your affection for him shines through. I hope your Mum and Dad's new house turns into their dream home. I appreciate the effort that goes into the making all these videos - it can't be easy, but your content is entertaining, well produced and edited. I look forward to each new episode. Thanks for the insight into your life and the beauty of the part of Scotland that you live in.
I really appreciate this, such a lovely comment and makes me realise why I do it all. Thank you so much 😊
That room upstairs looks like a perfect place to stash the kids when they're over, they'd have a field day with the ladder and the view.
Live what you do. Great to see where you’re at now.
Another busy week, those school children are so lucky that you have given your time, you are a true ambassador to the cause of getting young people involved in the construction industry. 👍
Thank you so much 😊
Another great video Amy. It's really good that you go into schools and other places to encourage girls (and boys) to consider working in your industry. x
Your fair tidy on that Digger...and your some ambassador for apprentices...well done a super vlog...house is class...
Thank you so much 😊
Hi Amy, thats a absolutely brilliant video, so much packed into it, and every thing so well explained, you're a real all rounder, digging, driving, showing your yard, and the new house. Brilliant 💯👍🇮🇪

Cracking vid as always, so pleased for you and your dad doing all what you do and showing us. The yard is looking great and I can't wait to see it as more bits are done to it and when finished. You've come a long way and shown anything is possible and that you can solve any problem if needed!
The house is looking great, can't wait to see it finished, the views are amazing and can imagine waking up and seeing snow on those mountains too!

ANOTHER AMAZING VIDEO EVERYTHING INTERESTING THANK YOU VERY MUCH
I’m glad you enjoyed Brendan 😊
Hi Amy , great content as always, happy Easter to you and the family,
I'm surprised on just how big the cottage in inside, it's amazing what you have done with it!
Isn’t it just! Thank you 😊
Thank you for the video's, that moasure have used them before, there are so useful and professional.
So much digging work for the ground source heat pipes 😦. The ever changing scenery is beautiful, just have chalk cliffs, sandy beaches, polluted sea and many 🚣♀ small boats arriving down my way.
Parents house although in construction already looks great, no heat pump 😁 would be my preference.
Happy Easter 🥚
Moasure is great isn’t it! Thank you so much for the comment 😊
The way your channel's growing - And if you keep producing video's like THIS! - You'll soon be able to afford your OWN 'Little bit of Heaven' ... Just like Your Mum & Dad 👍🤠
Here’s hoping Pete!! Thank you 😊
Another great video I went to citb bircham newton college in kings lynn too I was there as a 17 year old back in 1996 it’s a great place I did a 20 week course living on campus I’ve been driving telehandlers for 26 years when I left there they where the only machine I could find work on people just didn’t want to give young operators a start. I was an owner operator for 10 of those 26 years until 2009 when the recession hit I started with a second hand matbro machine and brought my first brand new manitou at 21 it’s so nice to c how well u r doing and I wish u all the best and hope it may continue for many many more years
Great story!! Thank you so much 😊
Another great vid.. what a stunning place to work!
❤❤
Hi Amy thanks for sharing another awesome video. The new tipper sounds awesome looks like you have got yourselves a great little truck. The moasure looks a nice piece of kit should save you some time measuring jobs out. Much appreciated how you spend time explaining what you are doing. Hope you have lots of fun at Scotplant the kids will love sitting in your machine and having a photo 📸, are you coming down to truckfest this year?. Just awesome how you interact with the school's and the children well done you. Thanks for the house tour it will look awesome, thanks again for sharing take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
It’s a great wee tipper. Ahh I appreciate you enjoy me explaining things a little more now! I’m hoping to do a couple shows but got lots to crack on with up here also 😅
Another cracking video Amy , I also watched Trucker Tims video of bringing you that tidy wee tipper - another good addition to the fleet, also thats going to be some hoose when its finished as well. 👍
Tim’s a good guy! Thank you so much, it is indeed 😍
Happy Easter Amy🐰🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣
To you and your Peeps.
I just got Ubered home, and it's a little after 3 am here.
I thought I had a mini stroke watching you, and then I remembered I have to turn on the closed captions so I can understand what you're saying.
Don't ever change, you're fantastic!
I absolutely love how you love your family, which can be hard in a family business.
Mine were all Roofers, with Mom keeping us from killing each other.
I love how you love your kids enough to let them run and play. Like kids are supposed to! That bit at the end there, had me in stitches lol
And that you think about the future, and how things will be in 20 or 30 years. Not just next week, and do I look pretty?
Which you do BTW, and that's not just the Apple Whiskey talking.
I have lots of questions about your folks house?
But it looks really good so far. For a guy who plays in the dirt. lol!
God Bless Him.
Stay Well Amy, and don't eat to much chocolate today.
Hug everyone you love, every day.
I'm off to bed 💤
❤U.
Haha thank you so much!! I do my subs because people struggle to understand me I’ve tried to slow it down a bit but it’s only natural for a Scottish girl 😂

Darlin' Don't ever change.
Not for me, or anyone else!
It's those Bits that make you,
an Amazing YOU!
Alba gu bràth!
Amy your just the Best, better than all the rest lol isn’t that a cue for a song lol as always, Amy great content and I love the retakes at the very end worth keeping in at the end of your videos 😊😊😊😊
Thank you so much, means a lot 😁
Beautiful house, I’d have a living room in that top room that was going to be a bathroom with that view
Regarding your comment on using a clutch … 🎻🎻🎻 😁! You have come a long way with your channel, Amy. Onwards and upwards. Cheers from NZ🇳🇿.
Nice to see the kids asking the important questions last time you were there 😂
Tidy job, done properly👌
Looking forward to scotplant, and seeing the challenge on the stand. Prize wise what about getting a factory tour out of Malcolm?
Ahhh this is a brilliant idea, let’s see what I can push him to 😂
Just an observation.
The red lines look like they could soak in water if that bucket fills with rainwater.
12:29
41:12 great content
Hi Nice work the container could be painted with green colours to blend it in more
Great vid Amy, all interesting stuff. Will you be moving the office to the new yard eventually? Love the new characters 🤠
Just now, it’s just along the road but not sure what the plans will be. Anything could happen with us 😅😂
Cracking video your one hell of a gal 👍
That was a cracking video
Thank you!!!!😊
I bet dad's proud of you when u 1st started Amy a daughter liking construction and bing a lorry driver ... I like this video the yard coming on
He never tells me which I don’t mind makes me work harder 😂
Happy Easter has we'll
A house now but it'll soon be a home where the heart is ....
Good morning Amy and happy Easter to you and your family. That measuring tool looks like a must have bit of kit and way more accurate than my old way with tapes and using my feet lol. Have you tried a ripper tooth rather a pecker and swap machines as they are a good bit of kit to be fare. Your parents house is going to be amazing and the views are just spectacular another great video can't wait for next week. CCTV you must have installed just for peace of mind with the yard and all the equipment you have
Thank you so much. It’s a great bit of equipment! Yea there’s cameras up 👀🤣
Have you thought about putting tow bar on tipper to pull low lowder trailer for diggers .
Beautiful place...my Dad had trucks and diggers and used to drive my m mad with all his stuff in yard beside house ...
😂 my mum said she’s used to it now 😅
Love you amy i cant wait to meet you some point i love how far you come and i love my 2 hoodys
Aww thank you Alex! Would be lovely to meet you to😊
Hi there i suppose you saw it but you're work light on the boom is broken😉
😂 that’s on the to do list 🫠😂
@@the_digger_girl we always have that list😅 it is endless.. have the same with my volvo ewr150e
Great to see you can manage a manual will need to on 143 but there a lot of hgv drivers now never driven a manual good job they didn’t have the shite boxes from years ago with no syncromesh
Absolutely, I’ve always been used to manual and I prefer it in the trucks!😊
The house is slowly but surely getting done. Looking good though. Are the trenches your digging for septic sewer. 👍
Thank you. No its pipes for ground source heating!😊
One thing about being a digger is just being a digger, and who knows what else happened next, you are a digger legend when it comes to being a west coast Scotty digger lol that word is funny. But many blessings to you and your family.
Coming to ScotPlant will come up and say hello.
Please do, come have a go of my challenge to!!😊
I’ll be there at Scotplant 🤙🤙🏴🏴
Come say hello 😊
great seeing a mix of work, family, and adventures. the real life
Thank you 😊
Bircham newton’s not far from me actually went past the college on the bus other week
Tell your dad to point the stone with lime mortar
Happy Easter, well done wow, that is gonna be one beautiful place to live. How far down country do you come if you've got a job
Absolutely amazing what a "normal" person can achieve by having the balls to put themselves out there. (I mean no slur by my use of normal). For a young teen you really had your head screwed on and a plan.
LOVE this!!!! So many people told me it was stupid and “everyone was laughing at me” really appreciate this comment 😊
Just watched 👀 your latest video 📹 as usual lots of information and great scenery, just wanted to ask will the yard eventually be fully tarmaced
Thank you! No tarmac but tar plannings. Tar is unfortunately no use for steel tracks 😅
That light dangling was annoying the heck out of me lol 😂
Me to!! You’d think I’d just fix it eh 😂
@@the_digger_girlhaha
I subscribed
Thank you 😊
Great video as always, I love that moasure what a time saver. When your not recording what music do you listen to?
It’s great isn’t it! Country 90% of the time 😊
It’s a great bit of kit isn’t it! Country 90% of the time 😊
Great video , what a lovely location, you can't beat the west coast 💯💯
Where did you get your measuring stick ?
Hi do you not have plasterers in Scotland?
Yea there is!😊
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Not spoiled just taking daddy's ...my lights aren't working
Is there work with you?
You have a great accent where are you from
Is this your base?
Sure is
Your light on your boom has come loose
Your screen wash is low
Accent I mistaken you, English/Scottish. Not American.
I really wish I understand one word...
What a dialect.!😄 You can barely hear what she says. 😲
The best prize would be an exact singed replica of your digger with little diggers paw print on the roof of it
Was I actually chatting to u on messenger..fake account??
It would be a fake account. I’ve spent so many hours reporting and trying to get them taken down. Please just be wary on who you’re talking to! 😢
Will do amy x
With a decent modern planning app, it should work right in metric , or Imperial, or a mixture of both like say length in meters and width of the same site in yards. Been there, done that etc...
STEM - OK it's academic for this video, but for the future you do know a computer programmer who's up for giving the kids answers to advance questions in that area. If you want the support let me know and I'll contact you through your Dad's company site so we can swap e-mails. OK?
Also absolutely right; sometimes the price of a contractor for a job is less that you'd pay yourself to do that exact same job after allowing for your time.
House - Just my taste (age 61) on a couple of points:-
1) I'd always go for magnolia/off-white for a kitchen, mostly because it's about the same colour as oil or fat from cooking, so it doesn't need repainting every 2 weeks!
2) We recently had my Mum's "bathroom" redone as just a shower, and it's amazing just how much more space it feels to have (not just my view but visitors and handymen say the same).
3) Feature wall - Absolutely, and I've found where I'd want my whisky shelves if it was my house!
