Wouldn't recommend bothering with this tool as it doesn't even seem to work anymore with the current version of MCC. I did have it working before and actually modded the weapons in some Reach campaign missions but I only get errors now trying to open any map file.
Mine says Assembly Icon Library 2013, Its also not compatible with current engine maps. even though i did everything you did in the video?
Every time I try to open a map I get an "unable to open cache file Engine version June 5 2020 10:40:14 not supported. Why not add support in the 'formats' folder." What?
If you haven’t figured it out by now, it’s because you downloaded an old version of assembly.

When I open the visual studio it comes up with error "The C# Project "Blamite" is targeting ".NETFramework, Version=v4.6.1", which is not installed on this machine."
Even though I tried installing this version and it said that a greater version was already installed.
I also don't have the "start" button option in visual studio in order to open assembly, there is no start button there for me.
Try right clicking on the solution and then it should say Retarget. After that you can click older versions!
Does this work only for halo reach?
So when i go into Visual Studio to build the file and change it to Win64 it says it doesn't work because of the file being a 2013

So I didn't have to do any of that stuff when I downloaded it. I just opened it and i could mod away. My only question is, which maps are the campaign?
This is to build the program if you need or want to. But yeah the campaign maps are the m1 m2 m3 etc
I had this already and I was wondering how to tag inject a phantom or spirit? When I do it with a pelican it injects and works with the forge menu but the phantom and spirit doesn't. Happen to know a fix. Also how could I add collisions to the phantom or any other dropship without it?
Theres settings you have to apply to make it behave correctly but yeah. You can inject everything

@@Unseen_Halo Thank you. It keeps giving me a "connection error" whenever i attempt to do something like modifying, for example, changing a magnum's initial projectile to say a sniper rifle or a rocket. It happens with every weapon and vehicle I've tested with thus far and with every map

@@TheCartonne so looks like the poking offset didnt change? a proper update is still in the works, so for now in your Assembly folder navigate to Formats\ReachMCC\ReachMCC_Poking.xml and open it in notepad. create a new line after the "initial release" line and paste this in and save:
reopen assembly and poking should work again

When i open VC on the right it says "Assembly (load failed)" i tried reloading it but with no success
just built my first gaming pc, bought reach and downloaded assembly. im not going to rest until ive made an armor ability that gives bullet time to campaign
I just need to explore the files. How do you access the files basicly?
Just some simple porting can be done by copying, renaming & moving files. It be cool to see lasky spawned in multiplayer as an example. Or make a character like him duel wield weapons.
So i'm a mega noob with the stuff i'm in assembly and i'm attempting to build it but its saying it cant find the CL.exe sorry to be annoying.

assembly for H2A PC MCC does not work
What's the issue with it?
For Halo 2, you do need to "decompress" the map first, then recompress it once you're done.
Assembly, or at least the versions made recently, have a tool that does this.
I'm not getting the option to build the Win32 application. Any idea how to fix? When I try to click run after building Win64, the Win32 doesn't exist. Also I don't have a start button. It only says Local Windows Debugger

visual studio 2015 doesint show up all I have is visual studio 2013

@@Unseen_Halo I had the same issue and this is how you resolve it. Right click on the AssemblyIconLibrary > Properties > Configuration Properties > General > Platform Toolset >Visual Studio 2015 (v140)

Hey man, I managed to build everything successfully but when i try and open one of the .map files, I get an error saying the engine is not supported? Any help would be appreciated..
You have to build it with x64. Go back and click the x64 under x32 and it should work. That's really the only thing that was different about this build apparently
I have a question how do I change the waves to where unsc forces spawn instead of covenant in firefight
Go in the waves tag and replace the squads in the tag with a unsc one or change the bipeds to unsc's in your squad tag. Or make new ones and redirect the waves in globals or something
When I click "Poke" it gives me an error saying "Unable to connect to the game. Make sure that it is running on your computer and that the map you're poking to is currently loaded", even though Halo Reach is running and the map I am poking to is running in the game. How do I fix this?
Try updating it if not do this:

Followed all steps but it says "This item does not support previewing" when starting the build?
Hmm I'm not sure About that one. you can download the full release now btw if you cant figure it out. It sounds like you arent building the correct item?
I downloaded the full release from the link you provided but whenever I open a map file, it just shows "Engine not supported". The item I tried to build was the one you selected on screen. Do the Assembly files need to be in the directory of the MCC files or does that not matter?

I'm just going to link mine again because the official release is giving more problems. There is two of them but one is old, and one appears to be old but isn't.

Zedd has been asking people to not post builds of Assembly for weeks now.
I know but why? I'll update the build when he does If that's why. But if he is just withholding it for reasons besides that then sorry. Spread the love lol Everything works fine for me so I dont see what the problem is, and people want to mod. Theyre gonna do it either ways, I'm just saving them time.
@@Unseen_Halo Your attitude towards the subject of playing the nice guy doesn't work on everyone. Anyways. The reason is because we'd end up with a situation in the future of people working using old and outdated tools even though there's proper or newer versions available, which as a whole boggles down the entire community. Understand that you are infatuating this problem.

Assembly, when pushed to the master branch, can check for updates within the application. This is the development branch. As I said before the reason everyone was asked to not share compiled versions is because it is a development version. This isn't something specific to MCC. People have been asked to not share compiles of dev branches of Assembly forever.

Did you go to the bin folder and pull out. The release folder that has the program and everything?

The main way to do it is to Throw all your modded maps back in a folder, and put all your normal maps back to their original states. If you have trouble just tell steam to verify the integrity of your files under properties, and then under local files. Just make sure you back up everything you do to be safe. If all else fails you can just redownload all the mods, and the original game. It's fairly small since its older. Besides that if you just want to enable eac, just launch the game and it will prompt you. If you use the windows store version, then launching from the xbox game pass app launches the normal version.

I wouldn't even really bother trying to mod the windows store game pass version unless you know how to dump it. It's a pain in the ass tbh
GAMETUTS I ended up talk to support they said they will eventually support it on windows. But I just made them give my my money back and bought it in steam
Anyone can help me to use Assembly ? I want to change projectiles but when i start the game, nothing happen and it dosn't work :(
GO To Weapons tags and then under the desired weapon go to Proj. And change it to anything that normally works. All projectiles. Bipeds and vehicles for example

Can we get a tutorial on the non compile new version? I have it installed, but I'm sitting at the start page and have no idea how to actually do anything. There's tuts out that show how to edit values and stuff after the files are open in assembly but nothing showing what to do to actually get to the point where you are editing stuff.
I am thinking about making a series of tutorials soon. Basically I have only had enough free time to either create my own mods or just upload basic tutorials. When ever I get some time though I will try to do a tutorial starting from scratch! To get people started. And then after that just create specific tutorials.
