    When I go to the temple, I see people being so individualistic there. They perform pooja-archana, take prasadam and leave. Instead, we should at least be meeting people, growing our network and coming out of dependence on state. This man hits right on the head - our community should have self-reliance!

      Easier said than done. You are telling half the truth. Hindus are LAZY, CARELESS and SNOBBISH.

      Due to the cracker ban, although a lot of crackers were still burn, the ratio was less, and people like me who believe in lighting diyas and some green crackers could breath freely.

      @kachha badaam there was a ban on stubble burning but bjp gormint lifted it due to appease the farm unions.
      Besides on the day of diwali pollution level in delhi reaches 100x levels than a normal day.
      Tell me will you allow your children to breath an air which is 100 times more toxic than an average day equivalent to 100 ciggratess ? Is that culture? Is that how you are making Lord Rama proud?
      Besides two wrongs do not make a right.
      Since hinduism is the dominant culture it should show the enviornment sustainbility path to other religions in india
      If J Sai Deepak contests for a ban on goat slaughter during Eid i will be more than happy.

    This man's knowledge and intelligence in on another level. Towards the end, he speaks of temples serving as banks from where Hindus can borrow money, or keep their money safely and even get interest on their deposited money. It means our temples can serve many roles. It can be a sacred space for congregation, a space for obtaining spiritual energy, and it can also serve as a financial institution, like a bank. I would go even further to say that our temples can also serve as legal institutions, resolving disputes among Hindus in an amicable way. Temples can work like lower courts where disputes and grievances can be addressed and heard, and even resolved.

    As a kid I too had a streak if ego but when I was part of the discrimination because of brown skin, my thinking and perception started changing. The major catalyst though was my father. He used to get involved with a task rather than staying in the sidelines. He always had his skin I the game even if it involved physical labor. It surprised people around him.
    Besides that I also took inspiration from the Sant Parampara in Maharashtra. Sant Eknath, Sant Gora Kumbhar, Sant Tukaram, Sant Ramdas, Sant Ramdas, Sant Nuvrutii/Dnyandev/Muktai, Sant Kanhopatra. Their stories revealed the nuances of life, behavior

    • @varunvenkatasubramanian8650
      @varunvenkatasubramanian8650 Рік тому +18

      Why not? Our problem is that we see certain jobs as inferior and superior. Our own mindset is half the problem. If you look at white collar jobs, at present, you can either do IT or marketing of some kind but there are more salesmen today than products to sell. Just take the job of a carpenter. If you look at him just laboring away all day, you won’t think much of it. But if you imagine him having a large showroom with a dedicated marketing team and selling furnitures and fixtures to multinational companies, it doesn’t look like such a bad job, does it? It’s largely a question of perception. But these jobs that we so readily give someone else are jobs that are vital for our regular life. Keep that in mind.

    I believe that a prevailing issue in various communities is the tendency of many followers to unquestioningly embrace everything espoused by individuals discussing matters of religion. It is important to acknowledge that no person can claim absolute correctness in their beliefs. Therefore, individuals should take the initiative to engage in personal study of their own religion and, if they possess faith in their intellectual capabilities, display the courage to explore other religious perspectives, unmasking the propagandized narratives that exist.
    In reference to his speech, he raised the subject of various castes within the Muslim community. However, it is crucial to note that in Islam, caste divisions do not originate from the religion itself or its holy book. Rather, such divisions are created by people, as Islam welcomes anyone, regardless of caste, to lead prayers and even share a meal together. If individuals fail to embody these principles, it is a reflection of the followers rather than the religion itself. However, one must contemplate whether they possess the fortitude to appoint a person from the Shudra community as the Purohita of their temple. Mere words are insufficient; action is imperative. Moreover, the religious divisions present in Hinduism can be traced back to the early Vedic age, making an instantaneous transformation an improbable feat.
    Now, shifting the focus to the main point, it is an undeniable fact that my ancestors were Hindu. However, during the Islamic revolution in India, they made the choice to convert. I contend that, while they altered their religious affiliation, they did not forsake their cultural identity. This transformation in religious consortium does not diminish my patriotism for the country. The notion that patriotism necessitates adherence to a specific religion, such as Hinduism, is entirely baseless. I ardently love my India, perhaps even more fervently than you, without adhering to your prescribed set of rules.
    It is fallacious to assert that only one community possesses the ultimate truth, while the entire world remains ignorant. Finally, I implore individuals not to scrutinize communities or their followers, be they Muslim, Hindu, or Christian. Instead, I encourage them to embark on a journey of exploration, seeking the similarities between all religions. By doing so, they will discover the inherent beauty of humanity and the underlying message shared by every religion regarding the existence of a creator. Let us abstain from fabricating narratives and deceiving others, opting instead for a path of genuine understanding.

    I am speechless with JSD sir's each single syllable ( swara) on his song on our dharma!. The resonance is what all of us need to reverberate( vibrate) with for our Civilisational Zion.
    Brave heart Lion. A class explanation of what Soma of thoughts our manas can take to chitta. Time to feel the togetherness of Bharat.

    The solution to all these problems is to know your dharma in depth individually

    This identity over individuality debate is an interesting case.
    Recently came across a podcast on which Niel deGrasse Tyson said that he don't attend interviews where he's specifically called for being a black scientist and not just a regular individual of that profession. I find myself agreeing with this idea of putting individuality over identity.
    But Sai Deepak also presented a solid argument against why it should be in the other way.
    Well I'm taking my time to process it.

    The bit about Ashrafs won't marry non-Ashrafs cracked me up 😂😂. I can legit tell you 99.99% Muslims don't know about (neither believe in) the caste system. Because it does not exist. But I'm sure Mr. Deepak is very knowledgeable and does not speak without sources. Can he (or his followers) point to any reference in the Islamic scripture that propogates caste system?

      Exactly 😂 and I never even heard of these ashrafs and non-ashrafs ever in my life from my community but found them on social media and mostly promoted by rw Hindutva community only. Yes, he can't point out casteism from Islamic Scripture like Hindu scriptures cuz it's not even mentioned

      Nothing cracked you up ..but these persistent insistence on the non - existence of caste system and clan - based identities only points to one thing that there is a presence of deep , inhumane and exclusivist identities in the arabic imperialistic idealogue called Islamism 😂😂😂😂

      I’ve seen marriage not happen in Muslim community because of caste difference in friends. So maybe it’s your anecdotal evidence because people have knowledge and experience.

      @s09313 Рік тому +4

      @@Indicthoughts898 I think what you're saying is anecdotal. I can prove it to you from the books that define the Islamic law that there is no place for racism or caste-ism in the religion. I have seen people preferring to marry into the same 'school of thought' that they believe in, and this is different from caste. With caste-ism, the general tendency is that one is better/purer than the other. The 4 major schools of thought are accepted as valid by all Muslims across the world, however, no one considers one higher/lower or better/worse than the other.
      You also have to consider that Indian Muslims have adopted some of the things from the Indian culture. Like dowry, for example, that has non basis in Islam but is unfortunately a rampant practice among uninformed Muslims. I am not saying this doesn't happen at all. I'm saying this has no basis in Islam.
