    My wife and I were sent a trial version of FSD 12.3.6.... we are amazed.... I would have never guessed that it would be this good..... it handled heavy traffic on streets and freeways of Southern California with 99.9% greatness..... Our complaints are minor..... We'd like it to be less aggressive in it's acceleration and it sometimes exceeds the speed limits even in school zones.... I guess we need a "super chill" option.....

    Congrats on getting Kathy to try FSD. My brother has a 6 mo old white model Y and his wife is too timid to drive it. And, he’s too timid to try FSD. Yesterday was my first use of FSD and I disengaged only twice due to lack of confidence.

    I use FSD in my MY everyday and the more I use it, the more I like it. I do use the turn signal to change lanes if I don't like FSD's lane preference. I also use the accelerator to nudge the car along at a stop sign or a right turn on red if FSD is hesitant. I am in control of FSD and I appreciate the assistance it provides with it's 8 cameras. I am getting accustomed to FSD as I await future improved versions. One of the features I like best is the self parking, FSD is better than me at parking. Thanks for an informative and entertaining video. Kathy is great.

    So true “Nicer in Florida than up north.” The minute I step off the plane in Florida, I feel so much more relaxed. I live in Delray Beach and Pa. No longer a snowbird because seems I am back and forth so much. It is just different in Florida the weather the people just higher food prices in Fl. Used to be the other way around. Anyway please don’t give up on full self driving you are a roll model for me. Watching and learning from every video. Love watching your trips back and forth. We may have to drive down this summer to pick up a family dog. I will be getting FSD for that drive.

      Im from Connecticut like Dave and moved to Florida last year and really sorry I sold my house in Connecticut. Way too much traffic and ridiculously Hot in the summer and my taxes are as bad as Connecticut now and forget about insurance rates. Totally cancels the state income tax savings if you can even get homeowners insurance anymore

    That was really funny - a replay of my age 70s/80s friends experiencing FSD for the first or second time. They are super wary, and amazed, but loath to put themselves in the ‘hands’ of the mysterious gadgetry that they’ve just admitted was quite impressive.

    12:42 I deal with FSD’s sometime being slow to decide to move into a lane by signaling, and his usually causes Ego to initiate a lane change without disengagement.

    First....Kathy has you ALL kinds of figured out. 2nd, kudos to Kathy. When I first had cruise in a car (sometime in the mid 70s), it took me a hot minute or 7 to get comfy with it.
    FSD might be a bit more difficult. My way of thinking is that if I have to pay almost as much attention to the FSD as when I'm not using it, why use it at all.
    Next question for Kathy.......what'd ya have to drink? 😀

    In my experience when you get to an intersection or coming to a stop sign it stops too early and aggressively, then it has to roll forward slowly. I felt V11 in that aspect was much more intuitive and natural.

    FSD.
    It already far exceeds Kathy’s driving ability.

  • @MrProy33
    @MrProy33 4 місяці тому

    Any accident with fsd enabled immediately places all liability on the tesla driver, no matter who or what caused the crash. And your car's computer will be used as evidence against you in court. The driver must maintain control AT ALL TIMES. FSD does not have a driver's license, so you are willfully breaking the law on public roadways.
    I have no use fror criminals. Submitting this video to DMV with a complaint for prosecution.

      You don't have to hold onto the steering wheel when FSD is engaged.

    • @mikedsjr

      @@BigBen621 yes you do. I don’t care what you call it but they don’t call it hands free driving. And it doesn’t drive like I do. Not once has it ever slowed down when I would when I see traffic ahead. I drive 25k a year. I have a 99 rating on Tesla insurance. No way FSD would get a 99 if it rated itself.

    • @fidellopez9314

      Well it’s good that in the new update it will use the Cameras in the cabin in the car and you won’t have to use your hands.

    • @BigBen621
      @BigBen621 4 місяці тому

      @@mikedsjr _yes you do._
      If that's what you've been told, you've been misinformed. FSD has *never* required you to hold onto the steering wheel. You could either put a hand on the wheel and exert a small turning force when you get the nag; or, in later versions, just move one of the scroll wheels one click in either direction. And the version just now rolling out, v12.4, is truly hands-free for the vast majority of Teslas with the internal camera-all verification will be done with the camera, as long as it can see your eyes.

    • @mikedsjr
      @mikedsjr 4 місяці тому

      @@BigBen621by requirement your hands are supposed to be in the wheel and you are supposed to be ready to take over. That’s not FSD. Besides, as I said my experience even with the latest is not for me. It doesn’t drive like I want it to drive. Not once. Not once had it slowed down as soon as I would like it to start slowing down on the highway. Not once.

    This video is a showcase of why men out perform women in life. Men accept and adopt technology and become the "owners" or target audience for whom the technology organically gets optimized. Years later when it is refined and men are taking full advantage of it women come along and talk about being excluded.
    No offence to the missus.
