Hey BK, looks like there are no old workings around the area where you found that beautiful nugget and that's fantastic because I hate to detect next to old workings. And you're right about lead shots, they do have distinctive sound and over the years I can tell with 95% accuracy what is gold sound and what is lead shot, but of course I dug them out anyway. I didn't have inverted signal with my Z for long time now but hopefully this weekend I get one. Even if I don't it's all good, spending time in the bush is what this hobby is all about. Thanks, there were workings about 100m downhill in a deeper gully but only a few prospecting holes near where I was. If only they could design a detector that avoided lead :) ⛏️⛏️

We were sceptical but the Detect-Ed team put it to the test and after four days in the Victorian goldfields with the AlgoForce we can confirm that it is true.

To be honest I don’t think there is much difference in sensitivity but the smaller size and lighter weight are a big advantage in areas where the it’s a bit tight to get the standard coil between bushes and rocks. I tend to use the 12 inch coil more these days for that reason.

Hi Kevin. I am thinking of purchasing the GPZ7000, but concerned about the weight. Is that the 12 NF coil you have on namely the "Nugget Finder Z Search 12” DOD coil" and does it make the 7000 a bit lighter thanks. John
Yes, it’s the 12 inch nugget finder. It’s definitely lighter than the standard coil. I find that if you set up the harness correctly for the GPZ is not too heavy, for me anyway.
No, as a part time hobbyist there is no tax. If it were a business I would be showing a loss after expenses such as fuel, vehicle costs etc. I do this for fun ⛏️⛏️
Cant you just detect and show what u got instead of telling everyone where you are all the time...and then putting it on every platform.all u are doing is inviting people to those places and they will get trashed..think about it..professional goldfinders dont say where they are going..annoying
Kingower is a great place to detect,just need to put the time in,wow that drive home for you & Eliza was crazy,we left Inglewood around 3 & missed the storm
How did you go at Inglewood, it’s still our favourite haunt. Must check out some of those gold boxes… Eliza has little containers everywhere, I’m sure she’s lost track of a few :)

My best piece of Kingower gold, went 31.782 grams. Found at the rear of the bush there.

My property is on Brenanah Kingower Rd. I live in Melbourne and don't get out there often. Am I in a good area? My son and I are new to prospecting.
There are many old workings closer to Kingower on that road but you can only prospect East of the road due to the Kooyoora State Park restrictions.
