Speed Level Design - Medieval Center - Unreal Engine 4
This scene took me about 2 weeks to setup, build and record. It was meant to be shorter than 20mins but I couldnt speed up the video more. You can see the final result at 18:30
Hope you enjoy

Can I Hire you? or atleast get a download link to one of these for a template
Where are you found this assets pack ?
0:16 hears the music, closes the youtube, opens skyrim*
3 Seconds into the video and I hear skyrim music
This one's gonna be good bois
True.
Yes
You reminded me of the misheard lyrics video..........
Can't get that out of my brain X
isn't it Oblivion music? or Jeremy just remixed it for Skyrim?
thought exactly this
very nice atmopshere at the end! :)
Thanks man ;-)
Bro uake the best enviorment
@@StephaneCharre I am downloading the free assets frm marketplace but they are not showing in my project pannel ☹️
@@parth4780 That's weird. Contact Epic for that
Love it, so comfortable to watch this.
seems like i found a familiar name in the comment section ;)
It would be a very relaxing to build an entire scene like this if I had all the correct assets in one place - every time I attempt something like this I'm lacking 99% of the pieces I need or want to use. And I often find that some parts I have that look right don't quite match the art style/etc of other parts I've already used...
man the elder scrolls music hit me in the feels
Les petits effets qui font toute la différence
Good job and beautiful music! =)
I've listened to aprox 100 hours of just the loading screen music
I thought it was from oblivion o.O
Bruh the music, just walking through whiterun, memories
Welcome to Skyrim ;)
love the soundtrack, love the level design
Great music choice, always loved Skyrim, and Witcher 3 music the most more than any other games sound tracks, the only ones that come close are Metroid Prime, and Zelda: OOT tracks.
Very relaxing watching and listening to the music.
This is some really amazing art! Big respect
Thank you mate
Absolutely amazing
My God! !! The inspiration in Skyrim is so cool ❤
Génial! l'ambiance a la fin est superbe, et puis cette musique de skyrim au début
Beautiful work as always, though the Smokestack smoke effects clipped and looked weird. Wish there was a better smoke effect without that happening
absolutely beautiful
nice ideas and beautifully composed, the atmosphere is well done
I LOVE THIS! Good job, man!
I just imagine, how long was the CD Red Projekt making Novigrad.
Sometimes It's even better to watch how games are created, then play them!
Thank you for this video. I got the inspiration from this video.
playing skyrim music and making novigrad :d so cool
skyrim music gave me flashbacks... now I gotta go play it again.
wow, great job + 1 sub
And the music
Welcome :)
Weseom stuff, not sure if the brownification filter was needed, blue sky version would look great too.
wow. this is very good. you should do a small city like this with a small castle on the hill.
i remember unreal editor for UT / UT 2003 / 2004 - the background was deep black - here i see a specific background color - that is really nice for the main design of a level maker 😊
this is very well made and has given me some ideas so thank you the feeling of the atmosphere in the end made me feel the way skyrim did the first time i played it. very well done
Amazing Work Man!!!
Thanks!
amazing like always, Beatiful ! keep it going my man.
Thank you!
Nice job... Watching that, with Skyrim's song is amazing!
loving the skyrim music in the background and looks good
thank you!
Finally people don't write Speed Level Design in the title of video!
Yes Sir!
Awesome work!
Awesome looks so real envirnmnt i like it i also want to try ue4
Great job!!!!!!
Bro, is it possible to put a real character filmed on green screen and using
CAMERA TRACKING in UE? It's important to me.. Thanks a lot for your work!!!!!
Amazing work 0_0
nice music for elderscrolls
Like for the Skyrim theme, lol!, Also, good job, incredible!
Oh shit ma jam. You have no idea how many hours I spent listening to that song trying to make broken weapons and armor.
Hey, you. You’re finally awake. You were trying to cross the border, right?
I'm always watching ;)
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDD
if u could do a mini tutorial serie to how to do this, with a easier scene (for us and for you XD, less time editing) , explaining controls, tips and trick etc, it would be awesome, because its really, REALLY beautiful! +1 sub! keep up the good work!
Hey! Thanks for the support. Much appreciated. About your request, this is not planned for now. Not that much time sadly. But the biggest part is the setup of the scene. Models, textures and concept (blockout). Cheers!
So damn cool
love the skyrim music
petition for Bethesda to use unreal
I fucking hope they don't mess up TES VI
how great. but before let me spend 4 months modelling and texturing the assets. hahaha,3d modelling is a passion and HARD WORK !!!
Where did you learn to use UE4 so good?
maybe if bethesda hired you we would have the new elder scrolls already lol
Bethesda said the reason is because current consoles cant run what they have in mind.
@@soulsiren3058 and then they will make it on the same engine.
@@TheFreshPeddler I think they are going to use the new consoles about to be announced this e3 or the next
@@soulsiren3058 - wake me when its out
@@TheFreshPeddler Youll see it flashing all over every media once they do
WAW WAWAWAWAWAWAWAAAAWWWW!!!!!!!
Skyrim 🤘🏻
resepect you man 🤩🤯
How expensive is that computer of yours? I always wondered how much a top notch, very best in graphics, computer would cost 🤔
Is it bad that I spend so long playing Skyrim I knew this was it’s music like immediately
Imagine adding chaos destruction from the ue4 source build and adding a trebuchet. would be satisfying AF.
Is there a way to delete all of the unnecessary faces created by all of those overlapping meshes? I haven't done any game design work in literally 20 years, but this seems awfully inefficient.
Hello. Not directly in UE4. In general you will intersect meshes when creating a scene (world build / level art). However some modular parts are created to be snapped each other. It's only in this case that you can avoid to overlap meshes. (Like house walls / doors etc..)
Ony faces not seen are inefficient.
Silly noob question, where is he pulling the assets from? My guess would be a second screen?
YUP
Красота :)
Whats your PC specs bro!!
And is the assets free
let's put aside the optimization, this guy has tastes in level designing
And you have taste for compliments! Thank you!
People cry about optimisation, but it runs nice as far as I can see.
Unless he's building an entire video game, optimisations aren't something you need to worry about.
This is what I lived for xD nice work man!!!
Thank you
I love this! Unfortunately, your chimney smoke is defying the laws of physics, and is phasing through the stone of the chimney.. Must be a witch in there! The town guard should inspect it, I'll leave a note at the barracks. Good day, sir!
Thx for stopping by! Good day aswell!
@@StephaneCharre
This is cool, but are any of the assets yours?
Is it common to save "prefabs" as BP? Is it for fixin it easier on the BP editor?
Hey! I use to create a blueprint for prefabs and call them BP_Prefab_"name". You also can use hierarchical meshes to avoid performances consumming if you have duplicated meshes in it.
To answer your question, it does nothing with the editor. Just cleaning your project with a solid nomenclature.
Nice Scene but u needed 2 weeks for this :o ? I mean u can also do this in 2 days 😅 However, nice scene :)
The Skyrim music.... awesome
Really impressive work.
Salut, c est magnifique!
by far my favourite soundtrack from skyrim, pure magic!
How did you know what the buildings were meant to look like?
I did a lot of tries backstage.
ur job is better than Nintendo spent 5 years to make ZELDA BOTW.
I LOVE that skyrim ost *crying*
Is it possible to export data for 3d printing ? Great performance.
love the skyrim music bto!!!!!!!
Hey, do model all of the object and buildings by yourself or you download it from internet?
Did he model the assets himself or get them off someone else?
im working with blender, and now im feeling really useless because im modelling all this shit, and unreal engine is like oh yeah you only have to place it.
i dont want to say that this isnt difficult, i only feel bad, because i losed a lot of time modelling everything by myself
UE4 marketplace offers a bunch of stuff. But making them by hand is more valuable if you are willing to work in the game industry. I'm also doing 3D at full time and it's way more rewarding to make a scene with your own items. You also can make both. Mixing your own with some on the marketplace. Tweaking materials and textures.
wow... you are really talented. Very impressive !
UE4 is this powerful. Imagine what UE5 can do !
Good, notice the smoke and flag don't blow the same direction maybe?
Looking to protect yourself, or deal some damage?
Yeeh music from Skyrim
epic and very nice work you should work fir bathesda ... ! can you please share with us the ground texture ( pavement stone they looks so real you would save me ! )
Very nice. But what is running the vertical fountain?
Your imagination ;-)
Hey,
I'm a game developper.
But i'm a beginner.
Can You help us? or make Things for us in ue4.
all assets from the store ? www.polypixel3d.com/medieval-village-3d-environment-models/ it looks like somewhat medieval based cheap
fantasy - but thats about it. Lack of details and understanding of the medieval architecture. the best in this video is actually the music
Bro plz make a video to show normally don't show videos in speed level. Plz tell us how to create this medieval building step by step plzzz
I know the asset libraries are in the description but how much do you need
Are they free of copyright? God i want to do that by i dont want to pay 15 box for a think i know i wont be capable of using in my game
oblivion music always hits home..
They used parts of Oblivions music in Skyrim.
PREACH
Nice! Very cool stuff! How could I not have seen your videos yet?
Can't tell ;-)
NRP mappers Hype!!!!!!
Sorry does finishing the scene means that you can actually move in the environment, rather than seeing the scene at the fix angle
Congrats on new sub.
How long did it take in real life?
And is il a free assets?
incredible modular work!
Very cool. How about optimisation? You don't delete inner polygons?
