Serving nearly 800 students in the San Jose Unified School District, John Muir Middle School is a caring learning community dedicated to preparing its students for success in high school and in their post-secondary endeavors. Its vision is to prepare today’s students to be thinkers, leaders, and creators for tomorrow.
A dedicated and caring administrative team, school staff, and experienced teachers are devoted to building support structures and creating programs where students feel cared for, respected, and valued. With a beautifully diverse student body from a cross-spectrum of ethnic and economic backgrounds, the administration is committed to restorative justice and deeply value the opportunity to build understanding, connection, and relationships across the entire school community. Together, with an engaged community of families and students, John Muir Middle School is on a mission to unite as one community while elevating opportunities for all of its students.
