Welcome, everyone, back to an episode of “Arin reviews a movie while Dan describes how angry Arin looks to the audience.”
i love how dan just out of nowhere says "dude I can see a vein in the middle of your forehead and I'm worried for your wellbeing"
"Whats your favourite episode of GG, Billy?"
"I like the one where Arin talks about the Snider Cut for a loooong time"
"How does no one arc in 4 hours?"
"EXACTLY!!"
Did he not pay attention to Batman, Flash, OR Cyborg for the entire film?
@@KingGhidorah5464 Batman barely has an arc, and it's completely unearned.
@@KingGhidorah5464 boi half of the rant was about cyborg
@@Lucifersfursona The same Cyborg who goes from physical and emotional isolation at the start of the film to finally achieving self-acceptance at the end?
@@loooooooooby Going from distrusting, purely analytical and nihilistic to a self-sacrificing leader who sees his faith in people restored is unearned?
My favourite part about this rant was the thing about how everyone kept repeating that they missed Super-man and he goes “yeah I get it. Of course you miss him. He’s fUCKING SUPERMAN!”
Yeah! shame that didn't make it into the clip
Come on, the best part was left off: "OF COURSE THEY DO! HE'S FUCKING SUPERMAN!"
That “were you a pained child” quote was from the sonic and the black knight rage, which is a fairly apt comparison to this short
Amazing that it was also Sonic related
You can hear the Egoraptor in him slipping out
“You freak! You’re a freak!”
Would love to hear more movie reviews from Arin. (And Dan)
Yes please, they could be on a couch, pause the movie and rant.
In order for that to work, Arin would have to have seen more than three movies.
Just about to say this. Like Angry Joe has branched out into movie reviews too.
Nah, just Arin. Danny will just be there for his reaction.
This and the real rob review are my favorite lol
I love that him ranting helped him beat the level. He ran out of things to be mad about this game so he had to rant about something else which helped him stayed focus.
But for real there should be a comp where these guys talk about movies because Arin’s points are kinda interesting.
Right? A podcast but arin just screams about movies for an hour lol
I'd listen to it. He has some valid points.
@@LaLloronaVT k but I would die to have this in my life. This friend
God this rant blows Subway out of the water! You can hear him breaking down in rage the further he goes and I love it!
Arin gets so passionate when talking about stuff that pisses him off.
This reminds me of Arin talking about Real Rob
And Subway
The Snyder cut was one of the most hyped up things in recent memory that I absolutely did not care about
Good. 4 more hours of your life saved for other, better shit.
It happens. And that's fine.
For me it was fantastic and one of the best CBM ever.
@@Vesohag What CBM?
@@excusezmoi9823 "Comic Book Movies".
Rifftrax but it's just Arin screaming
The biggest problem with the DCEU is that the movies seem more interested in setting up several movies down the line than telling a cohesive story.
Arin's rant about The Flash is a perfect example, it's set up with no payoff and the payoff may never actually happen. This stuff shouldn't be in your team up movie.
Except there was going to be Payoff, there was a plan...Zack shot the film in 2016/2017
It's not Zack's fault that between then and now WB has gone through 3 different directors and writers for the Flash movie
The only reason the payoff doesn't happen is because the studio refuses to make the other movies.
Do you have any idea how much setup happens in Marvel movies? And they are famous for having post-credit scenes that set up future movies. Literally every single Marvel movie has setup for future movies. The difference is that the studio let them make those movies.
@@aydinbiber7616 The Marvel movies have a 5 minute, self-contained post-credit scene, which has no bearing on the film you just watched.
They could be completely removed and it wouldn't harm the movie at all, that's the difference.
That's not true.
@@aydinbiber7616 There is a difference between having small "setups" that may or may not payoff in the future(all in all, they are inconsequential for the overall story), and then have a character arc depending on a sequel.
Similarly, there is also a difference between having an overall story somewhat planned(for instance, how SHIELD became more and more apparent in the Marvel universe, until we got Avengers), and a movie franchise that is still finding it's footing and had nothing really leading up to it, other than having some of the characters meet in a prior movie(BvsS, which was a rather mediocre movie).
What I am saying is, the build-up and the payoff was very different between Avengers and Justice League when you look at the movies that came prior.
He should really do more rageviews like this. Also it's always hilarious when Arin tries to be artsy fartsy
This was a sequelitis mini
"Were you a pained child?" Sonic & The Black Knight, face-cam rant
A man rode into town on a stallion that had feathers and a beak with a red Crest on its head. Someone walked up to him and said "wow, that's the most insane looking horse I've ever seen! where'd you get it?" the man said "I found a genie, and he granted me one wish... and I wished for a horse cock..."
I would ask why...but I'm not gonna question a blessing.
He’s not wrong.
I never saw the Synder cut but 4 hours? Geez
It was 5 hours in total as refrence
@@danyaelle1753 That's a nap,and a lunch break .
You can watch it in parts though. That's why it was released on streaming platforms and the movie is even divided in 6 chapters and an epilogue.
DC is like that kid who tries to copy your work in an exam
This is still one of my favorite rants by Arin!
"Have you seen- *Did we see the same **_movie?!"_*
"JUST. SOMETHING HAPPEN"
Dan is so right, he mentioned they need a cam. To be honest!, I really would like to see the look on Dan's face during Arin's comic book movie talk. 😂
O B J E C T I V I T Y
This is worthy of another sequelitis from arin
I mean everyone who was ranting and raving about this movie were the people who were demanding it get released. Most other people just passed or watched it and I guessdidn't feel bothered to comment on it either way.
The one thing I hate about Justice league is when Batman recruits Aquaman and when Aquaman was walking to the ocean he throughs a beer can into the ocean he was born from. Talk about DC helping the inviroment.
That doesn't happen when Batman recruits him. Wasn't a can, it was a bottle that he smashed it against the floor. And do you not know that glass is molten sand? It's not the same as throwing plastic or metal.
@@Vesohag yeah I told my parents about it and I they also told me that I was wrong. However I still don't think that dc should have done that.
@@DanielHearn I see. But it is kind of a nitpick. Really doesn't affect that it is there.
@@Vesohag true but it still annoys me, however some parts of the film are amazing. The one thing I really like about Justice league is the outfits and some of the jokes.
@@DanielHearn yeah, the designs were really great and there is quite a lot of humour in the movie too, specially from Flash.
That movie and how little time was actually spent on character development reminded me of the LEGO movies where a bunch of random characters were brought into the fight for pure silliness and fun. You didn't have to know the characters in the fight to enjoy the scenes, but considering the Justice League movie was supposed to focus on the Justice League, I should not have been left wondering why the heroes acted the way they did and why nothing really got resolved.
The Lego Batman movie has better characterization for Batman than the last like, three Batman-centric movies combined.
@@JackPoppy full agreement
Say what? The movie spends a lot of each of their chapters to know about the characters and how they interact eachother. Even the villains interactions between them. Almost everything got resolved of what was stablished in the movie. They stopped the Unity, each one of the JL members learned about working as a team and that together they are stronger. Specially Cyborg since he was one of the most alienated characters and from self-hatred he accepted his new role as hero.
And Steppenwolf gets to succeed for a moment in his redemption mission for Darkseid and goes back to his planet as he wanted (kinda).
@@VesohagI see. Differing opinions. At least you enjoyed the movie.
@@Kyomapai I did! And sure you still can not like the movie. Not your cup of tea. I just found weird and interesting how some people miss things like whole interactions between characters in a whole movie like this.
That situation dan talks about a pained child was from sonic chin video or which game was it?
Arin was actually making some decent points, it’s just he was delivering them like that crazy person on the bus who no one wants to sit next to 😂😅
"OF COURSE THEY WANT HIM BACK! HE'S FUCKIN' SUPERMAN!!!"
"Buddy, I jus' wanted the time..."
True.
I would love to see a "Arin's Angry Movie Review" show on youtube lol
I think everyone thinks the Snyder Cut is a masterpiece because they were comparing it to the theatrical version which was complete shit.
But just as a superhero movie or even just a movie in general, it's okay at best and I think just like BvS, Snyder spends more time making it look good and planning for future sequels than he did actually making it a good stand alone movie
Totally agree. It's only good in comparison, but I loved the flash scenes, they looked awesome
It doesn't happen often, but Arin was spot on about the Snyder Cut. The theatrical cut was terrible, and the Snyder cut was better but is still bad.
Not really. The movie is a 4 hour epic that by looking good is telling the story and its themes. Dialogue is not the only way to give information to the "viewer". And without comparing it to the theatrical, this movie is one of the best and most unique CBMs ever.
Idk if he saw it or doesn't care, but I wanna know what Arin thought about No Way Home.
I'm gonna guess he likes it for its fan service, but as a movie thinks it's sub par. Which is a side I can understand, if it didn't have 20 years of spider man to lean on, this movie wouldn't be as great. But to me, that's the point. It does have 20 years of spiderman to lean on. It's a great movie because it's what the fans wanted.
All we need now is for someone to animate The Hanson Rant of The Snyder Cut. Seems perfect for a collab effort.
This was very funny to listen to.
I am so effing happy this got posted! I clipped it and sent it to 10 people the minute they put out this episode!

When your movie reaches return of the king length something is wrong
unless that movie is return of the king
@@georgieboye167 exactly
A movie's length doesn't reflect that. There are a lot of short films that feel like a 3 hour movie and long movies that really fly, like ZSJL. Didn't feel the 4 hours at all and still wanted more after it ended.

This should be renamed: Arin does CinemaSins...just angrier!!
And with actual criticisms instead of just cringe jokes
"Angrier and just as bad."*
This was one of Arin's greatest rants of all time. The only good thing about bad tv shows and movies really. Reminds of the time I was making bbq and saw this really bad commercial that just had no production quality. It definitely didn't make me want a shoe hanger, that's for sure, you think plastic ones are better than metal shoe hangers? Anyway, what was I talking about? Oh yea, those were some good hotdogs.
Wait there are Fucking shoe hangers!????
Danny shouts out sonic and the black knight rage scene
I think what affected some of us most was that it was so long. Many people want much longer movies for their favorite franchises. Some people want the longer cut of Endgame. And it does make sense that some want a medium to be less locked but I also don’t trust most studios would handle 4 hours well lol
Funny thing is that all his criticisms totally valid. I'd would love to hear him just rant through the whole movie.
Not really valid. Most of his points show more how he didn't pay attention to the movie.
What’s funny is that this isn’t the full review/rant
I imagine this is how I sound to people when I talk about Ralph Breaks the Internet. "HOW CAN ANYONE THINK THIS WAS GOOD?!"
Will you supply a rant right here and now bc I'm curious, i still haven't seen it. (And obviously I don't care about spoilers)
@@Waterk11 Well, let's start with the big one: Wreck-It Ralph established that video game characters can't abandon their games, and yet in Ralph Breaks the Internet, Vanellope resolves her conflict by abandoning her game. So everything that she fought so hard for in the first movie - her home, her friends, being a playable character again - she throws all of that away on a whim just 'cuz she's bored. And Ralph is portrayed not as her kind-hearted hero, but as a clingy jealous man-child psycho who's willing to commit cyber-terrorism to keep her at his side like an emotional crutch. And that's not even getting into the cringeworthy attempts at topical Internet meme jokes - remember Chewbacca Mom? Remember the Floss dance? No? Well, they're in this movie forever now.
Felix and Calhoun get less than three minutes of screen time. Taffyta Muttonfudge is inexplicably a bitch again. There's maybe thirty characters in Game Central Station, despite it being a bustling metropolis in the first movie. Shank and Yesss are flat one-dimensional plot devices that exist only to steer the plot in one specific direction. The Oh My Disney sequence is 100% joke-free and is just there so Disney can brag about all the shit they own. The movie actively works to undermine and erase all the uplifting positive energy from the first movie, portraying Ralph and Vanellope's friendship as bitter, toxic, and codependent, just so it can get the female lead away from this big dumb man. It's a bitter, cynical, ugly movie with a horrible message at its center: "run away from your responsibilities whenever you feel like it; a true friend won't stand in your way."
Shall I go on?
@@jbwarner8626 please go on if you like bc your written is superb and I'm enjoying this more than I probably would enjoy the movie itself 💀 wtf is chewbacca mom
@@Waterk11 Exactly. And that's another big thing that makes the movie suck. Wreck-It Ralph had pop culture references too, but not only were they to games like Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog that have stood the test of time for decades, they were simply world-building Easter eggs to establish that Litwak's Arcade has been around for a long time and encompasses all of video gaming history; they were icing on top of an already great cake. Ralph Breaks the Internet, meanwhile, uses its shallow references to viral videos like the screaming goat and Rickrolling as a substitute for actual humor, and its shoehorned-in Disney cameos are actually vital to the plot this time - Vanellope _needs_ to meet the Disney Princesses specifically so she can learn about the "I Want" song and have her big stupid epiphany about how what she really wants with all her heart is to go Turbo.
Even the stupid title is a reference to a meme. Remember when Kim Kardashian "broke the Internet" with her nude photo shoot? That's right, Snow White and Fantasia and The Lion King are now sharing shelf space with a movie named after Twitter's reaction to Kanye West's wife's bare ass. Man, this movie can bite me.
@@jbwarner8626 I couldn’t agree more with what you said. Everything about Ralph Breaks The Internet feels like one big cynical and spiteful middle finger to the first film and everything it stood for. I remember dreaming about what a REAL sequel to Wreck-It-Ralph would be like and was even watching fan made trailers of a potential sequel to the movie back in late 2012. I loved the movie that much. Ralph Breaks The Internet is honestly one of the biggest pieces of animated garbage. It’s nothing more than cynical corporate garbage made only for blind Disney fanboys who will blindly praise ANYTHING the freaking house of mouse touches. The ONLY reason why the movie got so many good review was because it has Disneys brand slapped on it. If the movie was made by ANY other animation studio that is not associated with Disney and had the EXACT same plot, it would’ve been given extreme amount of negative reception, but because it’s Disney, they can just get away with it just because they can.
i think this was one of if not my favorite thing from the sonic heroes play through

Arin ranting about how bad Justice League was and how everyone was saying it was great is just like when my family watched Batman 2022 and we kept thinking and picking out how bad it was, yet we look online and everyone loved it(even reviewers who I would have thought would be more critical of it).
How have I never seen this clip before?
It's even worse when they don't tell you it's a director's cut. All releases of Beauty and the Beast now have that awful "Human Again" song in it, which totally breaks the flow of the movie, has noticably worse animation and is the worst song in the movie by far. It makes me so angry.
I've never seen the Justice League movie or movies incase there's several now, I've been way more of a Marvel-man basically my whole life, but the things Arin's saying about this movie really makes me want to watch it just for the pure, god-awful silliness of it all
If you're going in for cringe, see if you can also find the theatrical cut to watch. Not even sure what is best order here, because the theatrical cut might make you think the first 3 1/2 hours of the Snyder Cut are kinda great (much improved, at least), but the half hour epilogue stuff in the Snyder Cut might be the worst of everything involved.
Hopefully you'll see how Arin was completely wrong about it and how little he paid attention to it.

There is something weird about seeing a clip posted about a playthrough that I'm rewatching at the same time. This rant is top notch though
The biggest problem with the Snyder Cut is that it's made by Zack Snyder. He's great with action scenes, but he does NOT know how to write a movie lol

Cyborgs story does have a conclusion. He doesn’t just hold a cube and thats it. He has to meet the terms of his family dying and come through it to save the world. As does Flash. And the thing that Cyborgs dad did. He DID need to do it. He needed to heat it so that it was trackable (if i remember correctly).

Justice League Snyder cut: LONGER, stupider shit thrown together
Oh my word, YES! I was so sick of hearing about how great the Snyder cut was when it really was crap! So many totally unnecessary scenes, stretched out for no reason, destroying every ounce of fun that was in the theatrical version. Was the theatrical version a good film? No, but it was at least enjoyable at parts. The Snyder cut was just stupid, and a prime example of why not everything makes the final cut.
A refreshing take tbh.
That scene with the Flash at the end? So stupid, it's maddening. It breaks the entire movie because it makes you think "Why didn't he do that before? Why didn't he just go back to the beginning and undo EVERYTHING?"
So now he can just do it again whenever something bad happens in the future. Which also breaks the Flashpoint movie because the whole point is that you can't change time without fucking it all up. So why did it work that one time and not in the Flash movie? Agrrghhhhh
@@rileymachelle4088 It is literally explained by Flash in the movie why he doesn't do it, and you still wonder why he doesn't do it lmao.

I don’t care about the movie and I’m sure I’ll never see it so I’m curious, is Arin right? Was it a shitty movie?
No, Arin was pretty much wrong in all his points. You can still not like the movie, but his points about the problems he had with the movie just show how he didn't really paid attention to it.
Nah arins pretty much right.
the whole point of the first act with wonderwoman was to prevent terror*sts from blowing up the building. Ww disarms everyone... Saves the civilians... But blows up the building just to look bad ass in the explosion. It makes no sense. Lmao. The movies full of those same issues.
@@GamersInHellOnYt This just proves how you also didn't understand. WW wasn't trying to stop a bomb to destroy a building, it was to save everyone from an explosion that was gonna destroy several blocks and kill many more. She destroys a wall, not the building, lol. And that works to set up her abilities so we have a new introduction on how powerful that blow can be, so when she uses against Steppenwolf we have a comparison on how durable he is and later against Superman to see how OP he can be.
@@Vesohag youve literally stalk posted nearly every comment here... Maybe its time to stop fanboying and look at this with valid critisism?
She blew up a wall.... Yes, Thats how buildings are made. 4 walls makes a building. She blew it up for no reason other than to powerscale her. There was literally no threat. She already saved everyone... It had nothing to do with rescuing civilians.... She damaged city property and endangered others with the giant debris so fans could fawn over how powerful she is and gawk about cool explosion. They could have incorperated that genuinely into the story but didnt.
The movie is full of potholes like this. Stop with your elitist crap. Just because people dont agree with your perspective doesnt mean they didnt get the movie. People can tear my favorite series down again and again and ill laugh and agree. Because no piece of media exists in a bubble. thats a healthy way of dealing with life dude. Stop rejecting and accept.
its just a movie.... And its on a gamegrumps channel where theyre playing sonic. This aint that serious, bud.you dont have to defend it to the death :/
@@GamersInHellOnYt That's pretty hypocritical since you can have an opinion but won't like when someone refutes it with valid criticism? Sure, the movie is not perfect, never said it was. But all the points Arin stated are completely wrong since he even got a bunch of scenes wrong, proving he didn't really pay attention. Also, I respond when I get notifications on something I commented. That's pretty much it for a while now.
And yes, a part of a building can be basically 4 walls. Did she break more than part of one? Did the place fall down? Wow, let's not have any fun in a super hero movie where you will have god-like heroes doing stuff they have even done in the cartoons "fans" say did it better. You think she, WW, is gonna care about some part of a construction when she can send a pretty clear message about not trying stuff or else you will be obliterated? Specially after threatening kids? And again, maybe you can say that it didn't make sense, but narratively it totally has since it follows the "rule of three" that I already explained. So, maybe you can accept that it's not big deal to accept that maybe there is more to the movie and a lot of "plotholes" are not even that but either conveniences or just something you didn't like or understand.
Press 7 + Press 5 = LOL :P
Didn't the Steppenwolf thing happen in the theatrical release too? Did Arin partly rant about something dumb that was in both versions?

Ahh, the sound of a man who knows his bread is buttered with rants about his bad takes.
To be fair, no one really had an arc in the Avengers.
See, that's a big part of how DCU fucked up. Marvel already had Hulk, Iron Man (2 of them), Captain America, and Thor movies that gave them character arcs. That way, in Avengers, they just have one collective character arc about learning the value of teamwork. It wasn't a perfect movie, because Black Widow and Hawkeye never really got arcs at all, but they were also the most background Avengers.
DC wanted the team up dollars but without laying the groundwork, so now nearly every character required a character arc on top of the collective arc.
@@CiaphasKirby Yea, honestly DC is usually at its best when they don't actually care about a cinematic universe. DC is way more celebratory of their multiverse and episodic nature than Marvel.
@@CiaphasKirby you know there are different ways of making movies? Team up movies? Before Marvel, no team up movies were done that way. And still doesn't need to be in that way. Hell, look at Guardians of the Galaxy. It is a team up movie. We didn't need to see a Drax, Rocket Racoon, Groot, etc. solo movies to understand the movie or care about the characters. And here, Arin is objectively wrong about thinking there were no arcs when in fact, every character had an arc. Even the villain.
As a fan of the movie, the only people who should watch this movie are DC/ Justice League fans who are okay with four hours of sequel bait which very few people can actually enjoy it. Even a fan would most likely have to rewatch in parts. Felt like the first part of the animated Justifice League series, but it's hard to say whether it'll be good or not.
He's not wrong.
I have a depressed shallow brain that just wants to see Wonder Woman kicking ass and The Flash doing Flash speed force magic and Snyder Cut scratched that itch with the side of doing Cyborg some justice. I wish it didn't have to be 4 hours long tho. 😂
I was literally Arin the entire time I watched that film, I totally understand your pain.
I love the Snyder cut and I still find this funny😂
I love going on heated rants about things like that, especially when it's so obvious in my mind that it's bad, but it's massively popular overall. I carry on for hours about how Final Fantasy XIV treats gameplay like an obstacle, or how A Quiet Place makes absolutely no sense at all.
I have now watched the movie and I 100% agree with Arin.
“Interesting”. Dan and I both went “racism” in our heads.
Yea I thought the movie was garbage. Everyone hyped the crud out of the Snyder Cut, then it came out and no one talked about the movie ever again.
No one? Then why so many keep talking about it? Both to shit on it or praise it and still campaign to greenlight the sequels.
Arin gets it
He really doesn't. He has said multiple things that he claims happen in the movie just are objectively untrue.
@@aydinbiber7616”Objectively untrue”, you say? Then let’s hear your argument, and see your supporting evidence.
I personally liked the movie.
Its so strange that listening him rant about video games is so awful and mind-numbing, but him yelling about this (truthfully very bad) movie is so funny and theraputic
It's the other way for me. It's mind-numbing how he got this movie so wrong.
Because usually he is wrong when ranting about video games. Meanwhile this time, he’s 100% correct about ranting over this garbage excuse for a film.
Totally agree with this review, I thought the movie was okay. Leagues better than the original cut, but still just okay. The only thing I think Arin got wrong is I think the Amazons were taking the cube out of the temple and attempting to seal him in there while they got away with the cube. Buying themselves time essentially. It didn't work obviously, but they weren't trying to seal him in there with the cube, right? Correct me if I'm wrong I'm not gonna watch the movie again to find out myself.
Yes, you are right about the Amazons' thing. But Arin got many more things wrong, like no one having an arc or everyone saying they miss Superman when that was only one scene when Martha visits Lois and then at most one line that Flash says, "I really miss Superman right now". And more stuff. But not watching the whole rant again.
“Buying themselves time essentially.”
Buying time? By sacrificing your own army? Against a guy that can teleport?
Hmmm… I wonder why this plan didn’t work…
My major issue with the Snyder cut was the length. More specifically, that despite being twice as long, very little of the "bonus" footage added anything of substance or to improve my thoughts on the theatrical version, it just felt bloated as hell. As for positive thoughts, I enjoyed some additional scenes involving Darkseid's inclusion or Steppenwolf's motivations.
All just my opinions though, if you liked it more power to you :)
…What if we *didn’t* like it? /s
I think he doesn't like that movie.
