Agreed with the lego game, it also gives the excuse of being able to use any and all aliens that Ben has. Considering that’s the norm in lego games. in any other type of game wouldn’t do all aliens route since there is too many but luckily Lego is used to having big rosters.
I think they could do all four versions of Ben with only aliens from that era. Feedback is included in the OV, slapback, overflow, and Shockrock could be in OG’s omnitrix. Or they can even give us Reboot Ben which most people will probably never want to be a part of any games that have Ben Prime.

ngl I feel like most of the issues with Omniverse wouldn't have been there if they just said it was a different universe instead of it being supposed to be the same one as the previous shows.

1:38 for how much divided omniverse is,it is objectively the best show to base a game on ,it has so many iconic locations and planets to explore ,so many aliens to choose from ,and the expanded plumber base could make for a lot of things ,omniverse is just the best show to base a game on with how much diversify and variety the show has+being the last canon instalment so also having everything from the shows before it rather then being limited to a prequel,as for the show itself I think it did a solid job on balancing dark elements with light one ,it’s mostly light hearted just as classic with serious moments saved for the big arcs that’s more akin to alien force ,give it a watch without comparing and believe me it would be fun
you can even take the arcs it has like fighting Way Bads in the Incursion Arc and Malware in Feedback Arc

Omniverse was pretty solid imo
Very mixed bag though. Some great seasons and some really bad ones. Also it was the sequel which was closest in tone to Original Series which is my favourite.

Getting tired of people hating omniverse now
At first i dint like it because it felt the animation was hugely downgraded, but after giving it a try it really grew on me and it felt like it was a bit more plot driven than the original and alien force, i also understand they did lower animation because money saving and faster animation

Limiting the game to OS/AF would do more harm than good. Expecially for the alien variety. OV/UA explore more concepts.
Omiverse would be objectively the best in Alien Variety imo, though i'm a sucker for the Classic Series so i'd prefer that tbh

I think it should just involve things from every Ben 10 series from aliens to locations. Imagine an online mode where they have every single alien from every franchise but you only get to choose 10 to turn into. That way each players set would be unique to them and how they play. Getting to fight each other or going around completing mission with people would be so fun. I’ve been praying for years for a AAA Ben 10 game, I hope we get it soon🙏

Something that could be cool would be to add a special difficulty mode; "Oh Man"
Assuming that Master Control is something you unlock, if it is in the game at all, and like the first few games, you scroll through the samples and activate, with the option to revert back to Ben, not only does "Oh Man" Mode disables manual detransformation, meaning that whatever form you are in, you're stuck like that until you time out, but also there is a 1 in 5 chance that, instead of the alien you've selected, when you activate the omnitrix, you transform into a random form chosen from what you have unlocked, meaning that, if the form is less than ideal, you have to make do with what you get, just as Ben has many times in the series. Assuming that Master Control is something you unliock in the game, "Oh Man" mode would make it harder to unlock, if it isn't the hardest thing to unlock anyway.
Additionally,, and relating to this, assuming there are parts where, to get around an obstacle you need to solve some kind of problem with your alien powers, there should be multiple ways around it, with various alien powers, so that in "Oh man" mode you don't just end up stuck waiting until you can switch to the one alien that you need.
It really depends, cause starting on UA i think, he is able to change alien without going back to human. You could probably add that, but reducing the transformation time each time and increasing the chance of a random alien

On another note, here's an idea I think would be really cool:
Since Ben 10 is a franchise that can fit in a wide variety of art styles, focusing on more stylized art direction rather than realism can have a lot of benefits:
1 - Iconic Designs: If Insomniac makes a Ben 10 game, and I really hope they do, they could pretty create their own unique art style that both suits the game AND the Ben 10 universe.
2 - Budget: The devs won't have to spend too much money on modelling, at least on the technical side, and can focus the rest of the budget on good gameplay!
3 - Performance: I could be wrong here, but with art style built on lower-poly models, the game can be more hardware-friendly. In other words, people with even a decent PC will be able to play the game, making it much more accessible and selling more copies!
Also, just another fun idea: Insomniac could go for the Spider-Verse route and make a story that frequently changes art styles! I mean, its pretty much normal for Ben 10 at this point, so why not? It'd be awesome!

I've been wanting to play a triple A Ben 10 game ever since Ben 10 Alien force for Ps2. Glad I'm not the only one still thinking about it!
tbh if a Ben 10 game was to happen I'd hope the gameplay would work something Like Jedi Fallen Order or Super Metroid where you unlock each alien after a bit of story progress and doing so lets you go through new paths you couldn't access without their powers before

I'm gonna build off of what Medafan53 said in another comment with his idea of an "Oh Man" mode and the possibility of getting STUCK in an alien form.
Lets say you get stuck as Diamond Head in a section where you need to use HeatBlast to cross over a hazardous environment.
The place is open air, you JUST got done with using Diamond Head for combat...but 6 minutes are still on the timer.
In difficulties where you have the ability to revert, you'd just transform into Heatblast and cross over without a second thought...
but since you CAN'T switch over, you have to learn what Diamond head can do OUTSIDE combat and use that to your advantage!
Making something like Diamond Platforms or sending diamonds below the terrain to pull the environment apart like moses so you could cross and possibly find a reward for thinking outside the box!
Of course this can't be the only situation where you'd get stuck and possibly be outmatched...so lets take a FourArms combat sequence and have you get stuck as either Ripjaws or Greymatter.
You'd think that it'd be harder since your main fighter isn't available for use and the Alien you have ended up being useless in your eyes...but the possibility of gaining victory is still present.
Greymatter has shown expert stealth and instantaneous knock-out potential before, and Ripjaws still has his jaws outside water!
If you got Greymatter, you could take advantage of the environment and the opponents own technology by using stealth before taking one out and using it's weapon parts to build an EMP that could knock out the electricity from the other opponents weapons before you knock them out by taking advantage of the lighting in the room!
As for Ripjaws...You could bite into the ground and use the concrete in your mouth as a ranged projectile, hitting swarms of people with it as you then take advantage of the local plumbing system to douse yourself in water before spraying it into their eyes and using the tail to knock them into a nearby wall!
The possibilities for adapting ARE there! The creativity of the player should be the only thing stopping these kinds of things from happening in the game!
Because if Ben had to deal with getting trapped in a jar as GreyMatter for 3 hours or getting Upgrade when he needed to use XLR8 to catch up to someone, then it's only fair the player should on higher difficulties.

Id want them to do the entire story and then give us the space adventure with Rook that ben hinted at the end of Omniverse. Like each era we go beat for beat and until we can see the cut aliens as the new one's in space to be. And it would be pretty neat to have Proffesor Paradox as the new game plus or bring the Bens to whichever time.

You should really watch Ultimate Alien and the Omniverse. That's where a ton of interesting story arc is actually. They had some of the best villians; Aggregor, Maltruant, Malware, the Incurseans....

Ultimate alien and Omniverse are good. The ultimate feature was interesting. The episodes were good and I think Omniverse only got hate on release.
Yooo I'm 10000% here for it, you made a very excellent and compelling case. Loved all the references to their previous games in which each Aliens specific powers could be utilized.
This idea for a Ben 10 game is brilliant for my version though I would expand on it
-I would add four different chapters CLASSIC,AF,UA,OMNIVERSE
-Add different elements from other notable games such as Spider-Man or the GTA,RED DEAD,HALO and other games
-A massive open world to explore no restrictions besides online mode you would need to complete the entire story mode for the
online mode
-Similarly to GTA 5 or RED DEAD 2 game instead of just being in one city for most of the game you would explore other city’s or worlds so for example during chapter 1 which would be the classic series you would explore many other cities or worlds in the rust bucket with max and Gwen or other worlds with tetrax during those adventures you could have access to free roam the entire land or city or the entire map
-Depending on which chapter or storyline you complete will depend on which rewards you unlock so for chapter two would be the AF series so once you finish that series you would unlock new vehicles,weaponry,gadgets
-Once you complete all the chapters you would gain access to the online mode where you can create your own character and choose your own abilities you don’t have to be a omnitrix user
- adding on to the online mode you do have the ability to become a hero or villain depending on your actions or the route you take your missions or quests will be different as well as you would be able to battle your friends or cause chaos on online mode but the police or plumbers would come after you

You gave me hope for a good game, but at the same time I'll keep my expectations in check just because how much of a disappointment so many of recent games were.

@@zippydog2374 I did watch it. Never liked it past season 2 nor a majority of the storyline, ideas and poorly executed episodes. As a kid I was much harsher to it. I'm less harsh towards it now, but it doesn't mean I like the show or dont appreciate it.

I didn't hear you touch on it in the video but I think the limitations Ben has in the show would make for some really cool game mechanics. Only being able to turn into an alien for 10 minutes would make you have to use the Omnitrix sparingly. Another cool mechanic would be the Omnitrix turning you into the wrong Alien every once in awhile so you'd have to solve your current problem with whatever alien you get.
I love how initially youd see omniverse hate everywhere but nowadays mostly everyone switched up on it and realized its actually the best of them all.

I feel like for a new Ben 10 game (not based on a series currently airing) you'd either have to
A- have it be a reboot of classic Ben
B- have it lean into the time travel elements of the series, to play as all three main timeline Ben's
C-That roadtrip mentioned at the end of omniverse (ratchet and Clank style)
D- Ben 10,000 game
I don't think they would return to JUST alien force or JUST omniverse though, but if it's not a classic reboot, omniverse is the most likely to be picked from the original canon

To fight off the ambitious amount of work it would take to program 10 different alien fighting styles, just have a plot reason why he can only use a select few, maybe even unlocking more of the 10 as the story progresses.

I love that this video exists and honestly, I would *kill* for an original ben 10 game
If we ever get a big budget triple A Ben 10 game, I want to have all 10 aliens usable at once at some point (maybe unlocking master control after beating the campaign).
Make the open world with puzzles and collectibles, where you would turn into different aliens and use their abilities to progress, like a modern LEGO game but maybe more complex.
For combat, I'd add some attacks for every alien with utility aliens like Grey Matter getting some simple but weak punches and select few like Diamondhead, Four Arms and/or Heatblast, getting fully fleshed out movesets on par with post-DMC3 Devil arms.

I would pay good money to get a AAA ben 10 game as a physical copy, ESPECIALLY if they went half traversal/combat. It could still have those puzzle elements the previous games had, but open world would be a MASSIVE improvement from protector or earth and cosmic destruction. If they went with an omniverse route they could have 2 presets of aliens but that could be saved for a future game. #1 thing I would love to hear again is Yuri playing Ben 10 again. He just fits older Ben so well

The reboot was too childish and boring, especially when you compare it to Original Series and all the other shows that came after, at first I was even excited for it (I was 11) but it disappointed me

a cool idea would be a psudo omnitrix where its slightly weaker where you have to observe and scan aliens to get their abilities, almost like a collectors game. make it so another alien made it trying to copy asmuth and then you have a good recipe for an open world game that doesnt need to follow any spesific plot line, and you can make up your own plot line

If you need to scratch this itch though...try playing Nobody Saves The World. It is an indie title, but it has that gameplay loop where you use different chars in sync to battle enemies. It's really good! Basically the whole game is like Ben unlocking the master switch in omnitrix
