Hey thank you for the heads up on this climb, and bless yer mum, because she was a trooper - we 69 & 60 did it up and down in 6 hrs plus 30 mins at the top - 3 hrs 20 to go up & 2:40 to co e down - and no wonder you straggled - it really was achallenge for us - but we were prepared because of your vid - pre-warned 😆and that little stream was delicious water - oh yes the mental had to come in indeed - going up was all calf muscle pain, but coming down was thigh & toes - we both has staffs made of grass tree stem - we came across folks who felt let down that there was no kiosk up the top - we carried water, I had 3 litres in a backpack, and gave some of that away to others who weren't as prepared - Gregg (Theophilus) Thorn. 😇 - thanks Simon 🐳
Good on you for doing it! such a big undertaking to do it and I love your generosity to others giving them some of your supplies. I've never experienced such a hard walk before but it has certainly got me started. I will be back down there in a weeks time staying at the stirling range retreat, that will be nice. It would be nice if there was a kiosk up there and a zip line back down the the car park haha
So proud of you both, did yesterday, I'm an unfit 52 yr old, left at 1am, got back down around 7am, lots of stops, great climb in the dark, you can't see the top lol, so sore today, congratulations to you both
I am so proud of my sister Pam, for doing this long strenuous trek....Your will power was amazing, and you managed the awesome challenge ....and fought through the pain..WOW good on you both xxxxxx Everest next !!!!! (NOT)
