I honestly don't get the comparison with SOTL that a lot of people are doing.Why do we need to compare two very different people that are making videos on two different games. SOTL is a guy with a strong maths background that do informative video about certain topic (e.g. civ overview, Lanchester's law, elevation effect etc.). SOTL is not a strong AoE2 player and rarely present build orders. On the other hands, Aussie_Drongo is a good AoE3 player who mostly present build orders video, but he don't dive in on the game mechanisms that much. He doesn't answer to specific game question (e.g. real gather rate of mills etc.) but instead he teach us how to use the game mechanisms at your advantage and how to climb the ladder. f you look at the videos Drongo made so far, he is far closer to let's say Hera (tier list, build order etc.) than to SOTL. That being said, I believe that both produce amazing content.

The inca ability can be used to creep faster than anyone the treasure with many weak guardian and can use his ability on army too. Indians are 2 explorers meaning they have alot of scouting potential, low dps but high resilience with stuns and heal. Sioux is the best explorer for turning speed (securing treasure), can one shot, general speed and good at doing multiple weak guardian treasure. Aztec has a slow warchief with an ability that require it to be paired with the war priest therefore putting you in the dilemma to not creep and go for firepit or creep and go for tp. On no tp map, you have to pray for human guardian. Finally, the ability is only giving x3 against guardian to the priest... Only positive is that your priest can heal your warchief but then again you have to stay idle which is bad for scouting.
Explorer do more damage in ranged attack against Wolfs etc. If the Wolf is in the attackanimation you get distance if you walk away--> get a ranged shot in.
Thank you for including decks on the discord, that was something I was tempted to ask about as I am just getting back into the game to play dutch. I used to only play some casual 8 man FFAs online so its going to be a while to get a feel for the game again.
I remember doing this when I was little, I thought there was a mechanic that if you got too far away the guardians restore all health? (Back then, I couldn't micro enough to keep my settlers busy in order for this to be worth it.)
Having guardians run away while shooting inside the circle seems to be related to moving the explorer just after shooting. If you can pull that off consistently at some point it would be a great addition to the video. Covering the treasure taking mechanics for each non-European explorer would also be cool to see.
Another topic: abus guns are OP with the particular "artillery attack" uprade in your HC and the "counter infantry rifling" tech in your arsenal... they are even more powerful with additional "paper cartridge" and the general unit upgrade in the third age :D

Could you explain to us the best tactic to gain a contested treasure? Lets say an explorer from the opposite side has spotted you killing the treasure guardian and comes in to try to steal it. -Thankyou!

Great video. Now tell me how Aztec is supposed to take Treasures since they butchered my boy Toruk Makto. For real the stupid "noble damage bonus" ability increases the damage of your Warrior Priest from 5 to 15. But no one runs around with that guy to take Treasures, that guy needs to dance. And ontop of that they took away the ability to convert animals. Both are terrible changes.
You can crackshot one and wait for the next one (especially versus Asian civ ) or just kite one and crackshot the other. If you're full health you can even tank one bear but you wouldn't want to lose so much hp
Play as a turtle civ, like Japan or perhaps Dutch. This is where you build up a defence using your buildings and therefore it is harder to attack your TC. Also ageing with The Governor also helps since it provides an outpost wagon and 200 coin.
you might change the Simpsons Photo or logo thing it has nothing to do with Aoe3 or even a channel its kinda weird try to make a new Logo for your self. but the vids are just good love it :)

Completly optional, but some offer more than just resource, in Deccan there's treasure that add your max populations by 5 points and you can have twice of it. Other treasure reward you with a unique military unit/natives, settler, pet animal, and medicine man/surgeon. You can even upgrade explorer hp by 10 to 20% (armor of Arkantos), not sure with unit attack upgrade (I played the moded version of the game).

Cheesy mechanics like this drive me crazy. I hope it's fixed someday.
This is one mechanic that should be left as is, it's really engaging in the early game and gives good players an edge.
