- Hi everyone,
This is my collage for week 36 of the challenge being hosted by Margarete Miller this year ( see below for details, if the #2024CW challenge is new to you and/or if you’re interested in taking part).
The prompts set for this assignment were as follows:
1. ‘A button’ ~ I used a couple of paper buttons.
2. ‘Anything postal related’ ~ I used a pretty faux postcard.
3. ‘ Something that lays eggs’ ~ Butterflies lay between 200 - 500 eggs
depending on their species. I found a small printed vellum piece with
a butterfly on.
4. ‘Something that turns or spins’ ~ Cogs and gears turn and spin so I
used a small cog on my assignment to decorate the centre of a
decorate element but also to hit this prompt.
5. ‘ A photo’ ~ I found a gorgeous photograph of a lady holding a
flower. It wasn’t a genuine photograph but an image that I’d printed
at one time onto glossy photo paper.... still a photograph and readily
to hand in my stash, so I went with that.
Bonus ‘Floral patterned paper’ ~ I used a pretty little piece from my stash that was decorated in one corner with sprigs of flowers & vegetation.

Hi Carol, you amazed me once again! You always go the extra mile to find even the tiniest pieces that really set a piece off. I would have never thought of a flutterby for an egg layer, but it was the perfect choice to go with the rest of your collage! TFS 😊
Thank you so much Kimberley. Initially all I was coming up with for that prompt was a chicken ( that's what having bantams does for me...lol) but then I spotted that fluttery vellum piece and it was a good choice all round, certainly on the colour side of things. It really helps if I leave my next assignment out on my desk in the craft room. It gives me chance to ponder what prompt pieces I might use and I also get an idea of whether they'll work with each other too. Hope you're having a great week. BIG hugs C xx

Another beautiful page Carol, the colours are just devine! ... and I'm still having a little giggle, only 'you' would chose to use a butterfly as something that lays eggs, ha ha ha! TFS.

@oakhousejournals ... you always get 10/10 for thinking outside of the box ... so clever! Mind you, you would have got an 11/10 if you'd used a turtle, ha ha ha.
Ha ha... BUT did you spot the wee turtle charm in the plastic sea themed charm box? It was the one you sent me but I could't quite stop hoarding it for this assignment... darn, missed out on a brownie point by hoarding....lol.

So you should be! Seems I'm Confused.com too!!! I'd just recorded a forthcoming MM assignment for scheduling on YT when I replied to your comment and my head was thinking about that assignment and the sea themed charms I was deliberating over.Sorry but 10/10 for spotting the deliberate mistake... graaaaaoooooon 😮💨
