Abandoned plots on Sheffield allotment site

A wander around plots around mine reveals the waste of a huge local asset. Apparently there is a long waiting list.
No community plot for locals, no drive to get local council tenants involved. Just lots of rats! Cost of living crisis, food insecurity and a huge need for outdoor therapy cuts no ice here.
Imagine if local nurseries and schools each had a plot. Wouldn't it be wonderful if local council tenants had community plots and learned skills to go on to tending their own?
I would love to do research and develop an action plan to encourage a change in attitudes towards allotments, but am very socially isolated and lack resources.
