been paddling the creek for about a year now in the uk and love it so much. at 210, i fit in the boat comfy and it still moves really well. Love the little keel, really helps the boat stay online after drops and holes if you keep the speed up and hold a consistent edge
Great walkthrough video. This is my second season paddling Zion Creek in L and I am more than happy with it. With a paddler weight of 76kg it is the ideal creeker for me. I'm looking forward to your On Water review. Thank you until then. Lg writes the Norganic
i found that the boat properties drastically change, depending of the speed it has when its fast, it glides up and is on the tail, it is super maneurable, almost twichy too much for me idk kow to put it, but turns very much by the small hip imputs or small eddies so much, that sometimes in technical, i have to hold back and not run it with full speed im used to do with ripper, because the boat acts faster than i can respond, when gliding on the tail (and my other boat is ripper 1 m , zion creek L) and when its slow, it is old short creeker boat meneurable, it can turn on the spot with one padle stroke i havent yet to fully figure it out
@@WadeHarrison i think it has to do with the edges, that are on the tail of the boat and none on stern, combined with it gliding up, making effective waterline pretty short, and the flat surface of the tail, makes for very short radius response eddy turns combined that most boats get more responsive to hip innputs, the faster they go but i think on this boat the curve of responsiveness vs speed, this boat has steeper curve, than the boats im used to its not that i dont like it, its just different, and i dont have a lot of seat time with it yet to start to fully love the ability that gives also im just an amateur maybe when i learn to use that feature, it will be awesome but on the other hand, its a creek boat, and one would expect creek boats to be more intuitive, since its for creeking and not half slice rivver running to sum up, when its slow, its very forgiving and predictable when its fast, it flies over holes, it skips out of drops, but i have difficulty pointing it where i want where the line is not just straight ahead cant wait to hear what you have to say maybe i just need to move the seat, as i have it in the middle now, me 75kg

Zion is the name of a hill in Jerusalem. It's also used to refer to the city or region. It's literal translation is high place (aka, Holy Place). The lions? Not sure, but I think it's referencing the cougar (aka, mountain lion) in Zion National. Don't think it has any biblical historical significance.
I paddled these when the first came out. I still have a T-Rex. I thought they were just ok and nothing more. I will stick with my scorch and firecracker for now.
Yeah I compared it to my scorch side by side very different design philosophy that video is coming and true this design will not fit everyone But on that the same can be said for the scorch as well.
@@WadeHarrison that’s true. The scorch is the first Pyranha I have bout in about 20 years. It just felt right for how I paddle. In contrast I found the Zion just a little bland. It was much better than the Code though, I have come to the conclusion that dagger can’t make large boats. Still it’s horses for courses.
Already don’t even like the colors. me personally, I think of a company is going to do multicolors on a boat at least do what Pyranha does. Exo Put that black on there and my opinion it was pointless, might as well have just gone completely solid color on both boats, but that’s just me, to each their own.

Stoked that Cooper got some boats in the US. Zion, Lion, Rasta!
Yeah good to see more options here in the USA
after watching the video and talking to Coop, I am looking at driving down, and demo one, and possible purchase, thanks Wade
Yeah they have demos can use on Chattooga

Always been curious to see what you think of some of these less-available-in-the-US brands like EXO
Me too
The lion of Judah has long been a symbol of bravery, nobility, and strength, mentioned over 150 times in Bible
Looks like EXO is think out the box, dual kayak design for difference purpose.

Nice thanks for that information! And it’s bluewater webbing
@@WadeHarrison Thank you Wade, refitting the yaks for season
Zion rhymes with lion baby🎉

Yeah new that about Zion but the dual lions I’m curious about

Bob Marley, iron like a lion in Zion.
The lion of Zion nice

nice walkthrough buddy!
Thanks Buddy got to keep it rolling!🤓
Where are exo kayaks made?
Italy 🇮🇹
These are Mormon boats.
Mormon?
@@WadeHarrison I guess you're not from Idaho or Utah. They are all about Zion and all the rest of that biblical lingo.
Lions may sybololize the King David and Jesus is the Lion of Judah; same lineage.
Yeah a few pointed that out and it makes sense after some research that’s for the feedback

They actually offer 3 solids and 5 multis a total of 8 colors to choose from
contrary, i love the black spots that make the boat look worn
