Coolest car on earth! I love this car so much,I have enjoyed so much following it every step of the way,KRS dose such great work and seem like great guys, can't wait to on day see her in person,it's on my bucket list for sure.
Absolutely grinned when you started Independence and said Bring the THUNDER!! For a moment I thought VGG was in the building. Good gawd she’s a beast. Great job on the tune. She is in great hands with you
Kevin is quickly becoming my favorite channel. He uploads beautiful V10 Symphonies, amazing welding art, cool computer hacking, and I think he does something with cars sometimes too
I’m not even surprised at the shop upgrades The u-tube bubble can pop Your talent is what made you successful Make the extra,be smart, plan ahead Kevin is awesome
The KSR team is great, Thank you for taking such good care of Derek. The VVG channel allowed us to discover KSR and your content is awesome. It's amazing when good people team up and share their passions with the world.
As usual your knowledge is top notch and how you explain each and every thing where a average person can understand is second to none. Thanks for the lesson of the day and as always be safe 👍
Awesome as always Kevin. You explain things so well, yes technical, but still understandable by someone who doesn't have an in-depth knowledge of tuning. Also, I like the fact you sometimes need to shoot to pick up your kids, it keeps it real, we all have families and responsibilities.
I bet if you used a window washer tank/pump/2 sprayers to spray water on to the front of the radiator while doing burnouts it would help keep the engine cool. I've seen guys on drag week use a hand pump garden sprayer to spray water on the radiator to keep their engine cool during the long drives between tracks with really good success.
It’s easy for guys in their late teens or twenties to dismiss the fact of how much better these car run on fuel injection. They start right up no matter the temp and they’re consistent no matter the temp. It wasn’t that long ago that we were screwing with carburetors and doing our tuning with a timing light and WOT pulls on the highway pulling and reading plugs.
LOL Yeah, that was after you got it to start. Pump 3 1/2 times, not 3, not 4, hold pedal 1/4, hold tongue to left cheek, feather accelerator when she fires.

I'd love to see a video of you going into drivetrain lose. Maybe comparing different transmission's, lock up, auto vs stick shift, etc... I think we all appreciate the knowledge bombs you drop on every video.
@@KSRPerformanceFabrication I was thinking of mostly you talking about your experience in the subject with examples from previous videos or dyno charts (if you have them for comparison). Thank you for making awesome videos! Always get excited.
A fella just can’t get enough Independence! I love that car. From lawn ornament to huge hp tire shredding beast! Enjoy watching your team bring out her potential.
Good job Kevin. Really Iike your videos for the simple fact that you're the only one who really gets into details of the builds. Half the fun is building the cars, plus driving them isn't nearly as nerve wracking when you're the one turning the wrenches and sitting under the welding hood too.
I would have made a thought/suggestion on: Why not program the fans to alternate? So every start up, the primary fan would switch, to help extend the life and one wouldn't get excessive run hours over another... Yeah.. That thought quickly went into the bin of "Why?".. Because I remembered it was primarily a burnout car and it's life is already on borrowed time to begin with 🤪
Kevin keeps talking about 3rd being a lot of wheel speed and I'm like eh, yeah it's probably quite a bit for that but not all that bad. Then at 17:18 I was like HOLY SHIT
Right there with you I wasn't expecting to here 170 mph. I think I felt my heart drop when he said that. Holy shit doesn't even do justice. And the fact that she has more room to go. Independence is going to go back to the future.
You really did a "cracking" job with independence on the dyno. I'm quite sure a genius like yourself could come up with some kind of refrigeration apparatus that could help cool the engine and transmission in high-performance vehicles. Anyway another fantastic show, thank you, take care stay safe and all the best from Scotland
Plus pulling air through the static blower. So there is some restriction there. Would be interesting to see flow amount between static and driven blower.
Man what a sound that thing makes.. I could listen to that all day. lol I'd really love to see him do a water/air heat exchanger. I'd say the very high IATs are a huge contributor to the overall heat of the motor
We've got a 454, going in a 71 Vette orional block and heads that's built 75% to the max of what it could be N/A, and it will be a torque monster to boot.

Hey Kevin, why don't you try a water mister aimed at the radiator to reduce coolant temp during the burnout. I mister is easy to make with hardware store components and a mist of cool water on the outside of the radiator can make a big difference.
Great Job Kevin & Team!
Looks like she's gonna go Derek .. lol
After the pull at 9:00 minute mark you could see some weight reduction falling out onto the dyno from the shock and awe!

“Bring the thunder” 😂 Gotta love it
That made all the rust quiver on the rear fender. It's alive! It should continue to lose weight as the rust falls off.
Have you thought of adding a water sprayer in-front of the radiator to help keep the temps down or does Cleetus not want extra water on the pad?
@ I know some drifters do that but its generally to improve tyre life which isn't exactly the aim of a burnout
Yep you can't fire up independence without a customary "Bring the Thunder" !
