I bought this 2024 Willys because I always wanted one. I go off road where I need big tires and at most a rear differential lock. I do not ever plan to rock crawl. I have owned may Jeeps before and this one is civilized enough. These are not cheap vehicles and the mission of the vehicle is different from a Corolla. Buyers should realize that this is not a sport car. It is priced like one though. The point is that: buy a sports car like a Mustang Shelby or a Corvette if you want to go fast around corners but those get stuck in deep mud. A Wrangler is not even as civilized as a Honda Passport but that one gets stuck in deep mud too. My point is that the Wrangler is a very good off roader but it is not a car and it is very expensive. Some Wranglers like the 392 are over $110,000. Ben, thank you for your wonderful reviews.

This Willys has a sweet package. Looks great and is very capable with 35-inch tires, off-road plus, and rear lockers.

For that money and all those upgrades, Jeep couldn't add a fuel cover door that probably costs them $75?
I agree I just bought a granite one cpst me 400 for fuel door and labor lol
@@puppetmaster7479 Yeah, I added one on my Willys. I installed it myself, $175 OEM for part.
I just picked mine up in the sarge green. Only thing mine doesn't have is the upgraded audio package. Msrp was 59,775 and I got it down to 53,500ish. Yes, it's expensive but it's my first jeep and my dream car since I was 12.. glad i got into my first jeep with the new Willy's upgrades. I love the Rubicon X but the Willy's XR is what I wanted. Other than the sway bar disco I have all i need. You can't even order the Willy's with the XR package anymore so who knows how many there will be. I haven't even seen another sarge green one anywhere on the Internet.
Yeah, not to many Willys out there with the XR package. I’m Glad I got mine before they took away that option. MSRP was $60,200, I got it for $55k. It’s a toy, something fun to drive on the weekends.
I’m thinking about getting one for my mom, I think she’ll really like it and she’ll be good when it snows at her house. I’m still waiting for the Hurricane engine and I wish they made the diesel
Does EPA estimates include estimates based on axle ratio? That might explain why the Rubicon is listed different than what would be considered a regular Wrangler. I don't know. Just throwing crap at the wall and seeing what sticks!
I havent seen all of your videos but Im partial to Jeeps but as far as the Bronco and Wrangler debate which in your personal opinion is the better (overall) vehicle and or which would you choose everytime etc?
Im an expat in Germany and love watching your videos with aspirations of getting into one of the off roaders youve showcased when I move back. I still havent been able to get behind the looks of the face or grill of the Ineos but I love virtually everything about it. Long lasting, rugged and capable. Just dont like the center dash and front end. Otherwise it looks like a life long vehicle if there ever was such a thing.

These reviews are useless. Driving an off- roader or a performance car around the block at no more than 30mph tells us absolutely nothing about these cars. And every car above $20,000 has "soft touch" materials these days. You really need to change it up.
I think Ben has a particular review style. There are tons of yt channels with really in depth break downs and testing. The reason I'm subbed to this channel is because the video format is consistent, the reviews are shorter to the point, and generally you get to see what's new in the car market.
At least they made an honest review about it. If you want to buy then they will allow you with a test drive unit..

@@SuperNova23333 they are being advertised for $8-10k below MSRP in GA. Jeep has a lot on inventory sitting on lots right now. I’m still going to wait a few months as I think deals will get even better.
Bought a 2015 JK S. Lifted with 35” from dealer for half that price and had numerous problems with motor. 2 cylinders had to be replaced. Known issue at the time. Love Jeeps but that experience has turned my back on the brand, especially after price increase. Good luck Fiat.

Other than no front locker, are the actual axles the same for a 2024 Xtreme Recon Willys & a 2024 Xtreme Recon Rubicon? I'm thinking they are if Jeep is willing to regear to 4.56, but the one window sticker I ready at local car lot did not specify what axle it has. Thanks.
There sure is a lot of jeeps sitting on that lot…..only one I’d have is the 392 engine…that thing is a beast…but to expensive.
60k base interior jeep is crazy, you can get a 50k suv with higher quality interior

Base price is 36k. So, this has 25k on add-ons alone 😵💫
Every manufacturer these days charges for upgrades like the vehicle is built without that specific part . Take a wheel upgrade for example. They’ll charge $6k for nicer wheels when it costs them less than $500 a set to make them vs the base wheels. They act like the vehicle came without wheels. Some wheel upgrades actually give you 2 sets of wheels with the vehicle and the dealer will hope you don’t know that and they’ll keep the other set. Savages.
