well i said it yesterday somewhere Happy 30th Anniversary Off the Wall Album!! August 10 1979 we love you Michael you were the best @music&magic&had the biggest heart..the world will know forever youre amazing.f*** the haters ill debate you whenever you dont know ish
Thanks God we have those, at least, right? Imagine all the great stuff we would be missing right now. All the best, ryadams, ~Proud owner of two Naka decks (LOL)
unfortunatly the only DVD available is from the Dangerous tour in Bucharest.. Destiny tour, Triumph tour, Victory tour, Bad tour are all recorded on tape . But we are still waiting for an official release.... Please please please. I want to by them all.
ure right man, i never did not look that way about Joe jackson... :O , only MJ had view problems but the media made it worse, and the other jacksons had never troubles ? , thanx for your information peace
lmao i think he got his own lyrics wrong. in the beginning the verse is supposed to be "If you cant get with the feeling, then there aint no room for you this part of town." but he says "then there aint no one who's gonna put you down" which is the part from the second verse. lol just saying. this is still one of my top favs from him though.
@CrazyWorld65 When we begin to accept that nothing is ever what it appears to be, we will begin to understand what happened to MJ. Anyone would 'self-destruct' with all that he had on his back for years. This gentle soul was relentlessly judged and ridiculed in the media; throw is FALSE molestation claims, childhood abuse, death threats, health problems, over a thousand lawsuits, etc. MJ appeared to have everything but underneath the illusion - his life was an undeserved hell... RIP Mike!
i was a lil iffy about his skin case too but one of my cities news anchors came out and said he had it too. he was a dark skin black(like mike tyson color) and he did an interview without his make up on and he was super white like michael. he went through 2 hours of make up everyday. so i know michaels case is very true....and its weird that i met and shook hands wit the news anchor at the movies like 8 years ago lol....ease up off michael jackson ppl
That's right, no one made Michael. Plus it's the songs Michael wrote that made Off The Wall and Thriller the legendary albums they are. Don't Stop Till You Get Enough was the first single from Off The Wall album, before it was released. And Billie Jean and Beat It is were all the excitment with Thriller started. It was the Beat It song that made Michael on MTV and the rest is history.
He was the sh** in this period- he still looked like a man and had it. If he never changed from this point-(looks and all) Maybe he would still be alive. RIP Mista Mike J.
no thats not true. he lip synced in his Billy Jean performance and it's still considered one of the most groundbreaking onstage performances of all time.
@revolutionman81 ....This is probably why he lip synched ...he got older and it probably became extremely difficult for him to perform his dance moves that the energy level he did while singing at the same time. GEEZ...cut him some slack...have you danced uptempo for an hour straight and been able to carry a tune at the same time? People came to hear him sing...but Michael's true performance magic came from his dancing. He probably decided to prioritize that. So what? he's still amazing.
@StarlightsFire I'm sorry, but you're mistaken there. Especially during the 90's tours, he started using a lot of "playback" and resort to lip-syncing. My guess is that the choreography took its toll and it was just "easier" that way. Watch the DANGEROUS Live DVD, you can -easily- tell when he's singing live, when he isn't. Especially during songs that required a lot of moving around, he hits a lot of bum notes...and once you know the LP/CD version, you just hear when it's live, when it's not.
@prettyboy0909 yea of course lol he lip syncs during the motown 25 performance technically its not his choice its the promoters choices. since the ones he lips syncs through sometimes are his biggest songs. those are usually always the selling points to the concerts.
It makes me sad to see the man MJ might have been if not for the messed up childhood. We always talk about him but what about his father who pushed him relentlessly. This whole "album" was and is pure classic. I never get tired of hearing this.
As a child I would sing along to his songs like Ben, Rockin Robin, etc... Later on when I was a teenager, Off The Wall came out and I went WOAH! The kid that sang Ben had grown into a major hottie. I was in love! He was so beautiful during OTW.
rod temperton greatly contributed to the sound of off the wall and thriller, you can hear heatwave oozing out of a lot of those tracks. michael is still great, no doubt, but the writers and musicians playing on those albums contributed a lot.
MJ wasn't out of key 1:20,he was just slightly flat on the end of the run.Mike was still in key.Kind of common w/singers when you're doing all of that moving, but it's rare for him. He's still the best entertainer ever....
Mike didn't start lip synching until the Dangerous tour. That is clearly evident on Thriller and Billie Jean. The other 90's tours he literally lipsynched almost 75% of the time. Always wondered why, what a damn shame.
Vitaligo. Google the word,Michael had one of the worst cases of it in history, theres like 7 different kinds i think, thas what happened. imagine your body changing tones all over your body and being famous
@revolutionman81 Age, fatigue, condition....Victory Tour was epic, though, since he danced his ass off and sang his heart out. And despite what any myopic jabroni might say, you're right - it was lip-synching most of the time.
@3HDPS You have got to be kidding right? He lip synched so much starting in 1991. Watch that live in Munich film from the History tour. Actually why not watch all the History tour films, then try to tell me he did not lip synch for the majority of the show. Clean out your ears bud.
the thing about the victory tour that always confused me was...why did his mic have a cord? They shouldve gave him a wireless mic so he could go all out.
3:09 Love this part for some reason It's sad knowing that his been gone for awhile I was really looking forward to seeing his Tour On TV or got a chance to go see him or something yall can say what you want about him Can't change the fact that he made good music and His Thriller is still the best selling album of time no one till this day can change that Michael Jackson is still on Top...Theres no such thing as good music nowa days It's just Music for our time I'm 21 yrs old and got a good ear for good music like this I was born in the wrong time
Rigorous schedule, tough performances...if you notice here, the performance is rather conventional. in later years, he had extensive choreography and stuff. it's very hard to do that and sing.

Often wish I could of seen him live damn being born in the 90s sucks!
Andy Irving No it's not, I wish I was born in the 90's

Look at his shoulders!!!!
He was the sh** in this period- he still looked like a man and had it. If he never changed from this point-(looks and all) Maybe he would still be alive. RIP Mista Mike J.
I agree I do think the success from thriller was too much for mike to handle.
no thats not true. he lip synced in his Billy Jean performance and it's still considered one of the most groundbreaking onstage performances of all time.
aah MJ s live shows in the 80s!! does they have this on Dvd these days??!

^.^ any way too...i love michael jackson
gosh he is hot! and it doesn't hurt that i love this song.
I know. Michael has always had a nice body.

when he made the album off the wall his hair was this length. U might can c it on the cover, i think. i no his hair was this length tho.
Lol, the poor sound quality makes it sound as though he's saying 'we're the farty people night & day...'
Still enjoyed it though.:o
1:44 pure gold
he started lip syncing in in some song during the 90's and so on but he still sang some live but he still cool
He lip syncs sometimes lol
But yeaa he's Michael Jackson so wth?
who cares if he does , hes still awesome! lol
He didn't in this tour. Michael started to lip sync tour concerts in the late 80s.
a disease is a disease, whether it be drug addiction diabetes cancer whatever,we all eventually get that way
if the person themselves dont believe it, it doesnt matter what everyone looking from the outside thinks..
39 shows of this amazing tour and there's just a concert released
OMG how did u get this!! o.o Awesome vid but yeah it has bad quality becuz it was 1981 ppl!!

@revolutionman81 Age, fatigue, condition....Victory Tour was epic, though, since he danced his ass off and sang his heart out. And despite what any myopic jabroni might say, you're right - it was lip-synching most of the time.

the thing about the victory tour that always confused me was...why did his mic have a cord? They shouldve gave him a wireless mic so he could go all out.
It was the early 80s or late 70s.

This is my favorite period too--when he was absolutely perfect!
not only that he's ad libbing at the end of the song
