  • Alright here's part 2...you can see this juicer is so easy to use. I just pop the stuff in, not a lot of chopping involved and I can even leave the room if I need to (but I did accidentally overfill the juice bucket and spilled some because I wasn't paying attention so you do need to be nearby.)
Now this is one of many juicing recipes, this is a super easy green one. It's got ginger, lemon, lime, green apple, english cucumber, and celery. But honestly you can throw anything in a juicer. got a random radish or sweet potato lying around? juice it. there's no rules to this, although different foods have different benefits.
What to do with the pulp? throw it out for your chickens, use it for compost, bake with it. I know people love smoothies but if you're trying to heal or get fast nutrition, juicing is it. Bone broths and juices with lots of veggies are going to be great if you're healing from a stomach virus, cold, surgery, etc. Smoothies for sure have a time and place but I'm focusing on juicing which has an entirely different purpose.
Some juicing tips: get organic if you can. can't afford it? wash regular produce really well in vinegar and water. Or you can grow your own. As i mentioned i don't juice for weeks or months. I do it for a couple of days as needed unless I am very ill like back when i was battling thyroid disease. Also, make sure there is NO AIR in your containers because it will start to oxidize your juice which will cause it to lose nutrients. And keep an eye out for used juicers which will save you a lot of money.
Alright folks that's about it. that's the big video that caused quite a stir on facebook and all it was, was me talking about juicing.
