    "Japan" or "Japanese Steal" means they are made in China or Taiwan.
    "Made in Japan" or "Handmade in Japan" means they are manufactured in Japan.
    Most Japanese brands say it is "handmade" but actually, very few are. I believe only Hikari and maybee Mizutani are hand made to a large degree... Matzuaki, Kasho, Jowell etc... Are NOT "Handmade" but they are "Made in Japan" even thou they say "Handmade".
    This is comon knoledge in Japan.

    Great video bro! Yes I would love more shear reviews ! I’m trying to get better at my scissor work and just don’t know what to look for but this video helped a lot

    A curved edge indicates a dry/slide cutting shear, because it will push the hair out of the way as it cuts, so it won’t cut a blunt line, making it good for texturizing techniques. I love your videos, keep up the good work!

    Do a video of your setup. What scissors, clippers, comb etc do you use?

  • @CECS1
    @CECS1 11 місяців тому

    The radius on that edge is meant for razor cutting/sliding. They will push unless you have a good sharpener adjust the ride lines to help grip the hair

    Hey Andrew! Coming back to this video to see if you continued to use the shear. If so, how’s it been holding up?

    How do you create a side part hairstyle or a pompadour?
    Do you do the part, then blow dry the hair into place and finally you apply product?

    Do you have any other recommended shears that you've used and have really liked somewhere in the price range of $120 - $300?

    Do you recommend that over Hanzo?

    • @andrewdoeshair
      @andrewdoeshair  3 роки тому +5

      I personally use Hanzo’s for my work, because of they make it easy to get sharpening through their reps. To me the best scissor is the one you don’t have to worry about, not the one that makes the sharpest cut on day one. But as far as scissors that don’t offer a simple sharpening plan, I’d rather spend $150 and be in my own than spend $700 and be on my own.

      Thank you that means a lot. I am new at barbering,been license for 6 months now. And i want to be versatile when it comes to cutting. I feel like the barbers nowadays are getting caught up in spray painting and not so much of the craft. Thank you for your feedback. I have a pair of hanzo as well but would like an everyday shears set to use during cut.

      Message me for info on what you can do now to initiate the refund process. Hattori Hanzo Shears is facing a class action lawsuit for consumer fraud in the state of California (San Bernardino County Case Number CIVDS2004858) and a 2nd lawsuit may be coming to NC. A copy of the original complaint filed in California can be found under the comments on my wallpaper image on my personal Facebook page.
      Try to act soon and get the paper trail started because many won't see a cent.
      And no... this is not an insult of your professional judgement or capability... their fraud was actually fairly sophisticated with how they leveraged their networking and cover-up strategies (which were financed by hyperinflated profit margins).

      @@anthonyg_lifestyle2908 I have the Hanzo 13T texturizing scissors, they are garbage made in china, I bought them about 10 years ago, I would not buy them today knowing what I know. I like Yasaka, Mizutani, and Hikari

    Hitachi 440c is actually the highest quality steal you can get with haircutting scissors (so I'm told) so these scissors could last roughly 40 years if sharpened about once a year.

    • @richyox9486
      @richyox9486 2 роки тому

      Not Hitachi Metal at that price point. 440c is a recipe that is produced in many parts of the world. In this case, China no doubt.
