Thanks for finally streaming DMC4 IRyS, and thanks for not giving up on it Seeing your reaction to the opening cutscene makes me so happy. It was everything I hope for. I'm glad you like Nero too Oh and I'm very honor to be given the title of Tech Genius Anyway, here are some info that the game didn't mention but I think you'll find interesting - Nero is actually adopted by Credo and Kyrie's family, so they're technically siblings, not blood related - Nero's demon arm wasn't always like that, he had normal arm before DMC4, it changed at some point right before the event of the game - DMC4's Nero is the same age as DMC3's Dante (19) - More of a fun fact, Bael's (the ice frog boss) "lure" ladies actually use Kyrie's game model as base. So it's hard to blame our boy Nero getting distracted by them

Congrats on adding a new boy to your white-haired ikemen list! Since the known (and complex) solutions didn’t work because of the region lock, I thought it would take quite a long time to solve. But I’m surprised it was resolved so quickly! It was all thanks to the power of the community and your effort to resolve the issue!

Also, glad you got the game to launch, it's unfortunate that Capcom hasn't updated it to work on modern systems and it gets more and more broken the more modern your PC is... but at least there's a workaround even if it involves the Steam console and hex editing 😭

"I Hope gun is enough." It can be! Knowing you were planning to play this, I did a Gun-only run out of curiosity and challenge last month. I'm glad to hear you like Nero. Interestingly, he's the first "white-haired DMC ikkimen" and DMC character I played outright. Looking forward to next time and how much easier it'll be with your muscle memory developed.
Nero is so different from Dante and Vergil and I am glad that you like him too! Btw I'd give you some gameplay related ideas below Rev (EX-Act): At first, I'd suggest you only focus on doing rev after the timing for the first attack of normal combo (both on the ground and mid-air), then you stop and use other skills like High Roller, Streak, Split. Once you get used to them, you can try to extend your rev usage on other attacks too! MAX-Act and Exceed 3 are crucial. DT: Nero's DT does NOT have super-armor, so you CANNOT facetank enemy attacks during DT, which is different from Dante's DT. Buster: More convenient and stronger than most of the attacks from the beginning to the end, so it is good to have the habit to often use it. Snatch 3 for sure.

Seeing your reaction to the opening cutscene makes me so happy. It was everything I hope for. I'm glad you like Nero too
Oh and I'm very honor to be given the title of Tech Genius
Anyway, here are some info that the game didn't mention but I think you'll find interesting
- Nero is actually adopted by Credo and Kyrie's family, so they're technically siblings, not blood related
- Nero's demon arm wasn't always like that, he had normal arm before DMC4, it changed at some point right before the event of the game
- DMC4's Nero is the same age as DMC3's Dante (19)
- More of a fun fact, Bael's (the ice frog boss) "lure" ladies actually use Kyrie's game model as base. So it's hard to blame our boy Nero getting distracted by them
IRyS was so excited and engaged with the game and these reactions she had are so perfect! she perfectly felt what we all felt when we played it back at release That level of excitement was so endearing and cute! Glad you took time and persevered in fixing the game. IRyS using hex editor and using the depot downloader is definitely not on my 2025 bingo card

Finally, IRyS is playing Devil May Cry 4: Deadweight Edition
Nero is so different from Dante and Vergil and I am glad that you like him too! Btw I'd give you some gameplay related ideas below
Rev (EX-Act): At first, I'd suggest you only focus on doing rev after the timing for the first attack of normal combo (both on the ground and mid-air), then you stop and use other skills like High Roller, Streak, Split. Once you get used to them, you can try to extend your rev usage on other attacks too! MAX-Act and Exceed 3 are crucial.
DT: Nero's DT does NOT have super-armor, so you CANNOT facetank enemy attacks during DT, which is different from Dante's DT.
Buster: More convenient and stronger than most of the attacks from the beginning to the end, so it is good to have the habit to often use it. Snatch 3 for sure.
