This issue doesn’t affect me at all but I think this take is potentially a little off. Imagine a world where someone wants to play basketball but they can only play if it’s against Lebron. Sorry dude, you aren’t “getting gud”, you’re just going to lose until you quit. I’m not saying people don’t want immediately gratification but there is a reason why competitions have skill divisions and weight classes.
True, I've played 5 pvp games so far and in every single one there is decked out dagger crossbow player that appears behind my back in a split second, stuns me, snears me, weakens me, almost oneshots me and I can't use any of my abilities, when I have a chance to fight back I need approximately 50 seconds of constant ability casting to kill a single person, and if that enemy is not outnumbered I ain't killing anyone unless it's a rookie just like me that has no clue on what the fuck is going on
@@shami5980 Means that if you don't regulate and control every aspect of PvP to make it always fair, this kind of issues will happen every time, having to fight people that out-gear you will always feel bad, it isn't that hard tbh
@@itzmrwolvesRanked system will probably make pvp arenas more balanced since geared players will always steamroll those like me and therefore get lots of ranked points to reach ranks where I would not be able to
I think you're ignoring the main problem which is that the gap is getting so big that at some point new players will never be able to catch up since pvp content is just dominated by fully geared people. Yes, you should not expect to win when you are new, but you should at least be able to participate and learn in pvp events until you get enough gear to be competitive. The issue here is that there is no way to even try, the guilds will just come in, wipe you out in 1 second and that's it. The bigger problem is that a kill is a kill, no matter what gear level difference there is, the game should reward pvp kills based on the gear gap, if a 3200 kills a 2100, the reward should be smaller, but today 1 kill = 1 kill and that will get you a higher ranking a better reward, directly encouraging killing easy targets and avoiding hard fights. With a different reward system which is not based on purely kill count but also gear gap, players will mainly fight players with similar gear power to get rewards, which is more fun and fair for everyone, and this could be displayed by a colour coding like red player is similar gear and good reward, grey player is lower gear, purple is too high. But they won't because the whales are having so much fun killing people that have 0 chance to fight back and they want to keep them happy so they keep spending money.
I think the community is fine with killing lowbies, because: 'they are level 50 so is fair, and I should get rewarded for it', (even tho they get oneshot just as fast as a level 30 player) 😂
L take here. The main problem with TnL guilds is how snowbally the loot is from everything. The best guilds get the most/all the drops especially from conflict bosses, meaning they are getting more gear and lucent faster than the guilds behind them so it's impossible to catch up the the top guild in a reasonable time frame. Blue even talked a bit about this in his 200 hours review. The eclipse feature can be used to take over peace bosses as well, and the top guilds are even just stalling out bosses now because they already have all the drops they need from that boss so they are preventing other guilds from even being able to have a chance to get the drops from the boss or market because the supply is being dried up. I agree that there is definitely whining happening in this article and running away from the PvP isn't a good choice either, but to act as if there isn't a problem with the way that guild loot and guild snowballing is happening then you are coping hard. Great game, but the way it's set up now is definitely way too beneficial for the top guilds and the game will die quicker if it remains because no new guilds will be able to pop up and compete.
@@shalann the other difference is LeBron james is not sitting on a discord mass recruiting the most sweatiest gamers to shit on casuals to then do everything that @theyungstump4933 said to then say ''Hey but we want pvp, heyyyy we just better get a guild get alliances you can do it too. Even everyone and its mother knows that the leftover ppl are casuals, have no gear, beeing blocked by getting to the part where they are.
immagine there is 20 basketball stars and 50 12 year olds and a guy says ok i pick those 20 stars and i will shit on those 50 ppl, but we will say we are less numbers and counter argue that they can do it too and they even have bigger numbers to do that if they want. LOL this is the reality, it exactly this. Bringing Lebron James argument OMEGALUL you are coping hard FakeUni
To add onto my earlier comment, if bigger guilds are truly after competition - they should allow smaller guilds to make more alliances. The significance of which would be akin to that of Rome being ravaged by sporadic heathen armies. It’d be interesting to see what methodologies people input to tackle obstacles and enemies on a grander scale. Also allowing the power dynamic to flip and seesaw. Guerrilla warfare versus the alliance. Revolutionaries versus the axis, etc etc.
I transferred out of Benediction because theres a streamer who owns a guild so massive it had to be split into 4. Thats not an alliance, thats a 280 person guild. And no im not complaining because i was a scrub, i was in Volun, the second guild to that alliance. Transferred into morokai and instantly no more whale streamer server. So much more playable
@@FakeUni it snot an alliance of 4 diff guilds, its one guild of 280 people and since the cap is 70 they split it into 4 guilds. Its cancer and shouldn't be a thing. One way to combat this would be to limit the alliances to 1 per guild
epherium is denying everyone access to Junobote in Desire. They pop eclipse and wont let anyone do the peace boss. Its crazy. Where is chonation when u need them lol. I agree with the pvp bosses, but denying a peace boss is crazy.
Being able to turn daytime to night time is a mechanic for the kill leader on the rankings. While it's not perfect, I'm glad that this game caters towards the interest of PvP players as the game is much more heavily focused on PvP
@@PrinceSolitude the issue isnt really the fact that its a pvp mmo , its the fact they dont organize the pve aspect of the game correctly and lean too much away from general enjoyment.
You dont understand the issue. PvP is the end game focus, but the PvP at end game is heavily lop sided towards one alliance of guilds. If the devs don't balance the issue people will quit in droves and you will have no one left to PvP against. Telling people "don't PvP if you don't like it" or "just git gud" is not a solution. You're just gas lighting a legitimate issue that will kill off the game.
Not sure if you're completely inept, but what's clearly being highlighted in the article is that zerg guilds are dominating all PvP content, effectively locking smaller guilds out of the experience. This is a major reason why the game is dying-large guilds simply can't compete with a 600+ player Russian zerg. The game's entire focus is supposed to be large-scale PvP, but when that core element is monopolized by a few massive groups, the game becomes unplayable for most. And let's be real-NCSoft is an inept developer when it comes to addressing these issues. If they don’t fix this, the game will continue to die off, and no one will care in the end.
Just attended Junobote peace boss. They used the eclipse skill and made it nighttime to pvp everyone and gatekeep the boss. Would have been funny if it didn't happen to me, lol.
You swiped credit card?? Sad man! Get better! You don't spend a penny on this game. Got level 50 in 4 hours. And after two days I have almost all purple gears. So get better and stop crying like a green hair woke loser!!
Yep dealing with this in soulfire. An exploiting guild(no alliances) who all are at current cap running through the whole server. Yet they wont be punished. Pvp bosses aren't worth going to at all. Game will die and I'm sad about it cause it is fun.
We did the thing about whispering players that killed us in open PVP zones which in our server is Saurodoma Island. We go as a guild, participate and even communicate in discord. We get some kills, but die a lot. like 90% of the time we're dead. The people we talked to said they're fully traited with over 3.2k CP and most of us in our guild even the die hards who never log out are at 2.8 or 2.9k. So basically we got killed by whales. Dilemma now is at the end we will eventually reach that point where we are on equal level playing field with the whales but for the mean time we will need to absolutely avoid PVP which is supposed to be the fun part of the game for who knows how long the way I'm going at it right now I estimate it'll take me about two even three months. Problem is we will need to grind the same open and instanced dungeons and get rolled over for every pvp instance for those 2-3 months and I know for sure when we get to that point most people who are active in our guild will be burnt out doing the same brainrot thing everyday. I for one would at least like a league kinda like street fighter where people ranked silver will only participate and master or platinum will participate in their own but in TnL it's not so much skilll as it is CP. I also hope they add other meaning to higher CP than just pvp because let's face it, 80-90% of the things we do in the game is PVE and 10% PVP. Only reason to have a higher CP in PVE at least in my experience is to speedrun instanced dungeons and maybe faster guild raids. Talked to a SnS/GS tank whale and asked him how to get better at tanking and just told me get this gear and use these traits and I'm good he said. Every trait he said was about 3-14k lucent at the auction house right now and I need 3 of those copies to max out one full trait in one equipment piece bruh. Of course things will eventually get cheaper as time goes on but by that time 2-3 months have passed and I personally know I'll be burnt out of the game by then. We're ranked 67 out of 1000 guilds in the early access server. Only three people in our guild actually bought the early access most of use started on October 15th. When we get a rare item in the guild raids even though someone may need it we donate it to the guild chest and our guild leader sells it to the auction house for the whales and the lucent is divided to all guild members who participated in the raid. That way not one member will get the major benefit but all will get minor benefits in the form of lucent which we could use to buy stuff from the auction house. Problem is everything is still super expensive right now so yeah I'll try and wait for 2-3 months I don't even know if the PVE aspect of the game will hold me to stay for that long. Of course we could try PVP and we do but there's little to no point when we're so outgeared at this point to even know if what we're doing is effective or not. It's like me, a rookie in street fighter faced a ranked legend player. The gap is just too big to learn anything at all. I've had more success in PVP joining randoms who are over 3k and me being 2.6k but a Tank with absolutely no communication or strategy than a guild with discord. I'm just there in the random party to absorb damage, stay alive and buff dps players. I use everything from defense potions to food to healing potions everything just to survive one skirmish. Can't even hit hostile players because my build is pure PVE and to even get my gear for PVP I need a different loadout which could take another 3 months so that's 5-6 months from now wtf lol
Eh. "getting gud" and "recruit the right people" doesnt really work though, right? The Top alliance/guild is going to gobble everyone up that knows what theyre doing/has gear. They start getting ahead through claiming all pvp content for themselves while not even giving other guilds much of a chance to even practice the large scale combat bc of zergs and steamrolls. The system inherently doesnt allow you to catch up or compete if this kind of top guild with 4 sub guilds establishes itself. You're never going to get the chance to get together enough competent pvp players to beat a 200+ players super guild
Not to mention the fact these guilds are generally filled with all the server whales and as you say gobble up any player that happens to invest significant amounts of time playing for free. The PvP in these types of MMOs these days are pretty much designed around giving the whales cannon fodder to keep them swiping. Get gud = swipe harder Recruit the right type of player = find the biggest whales
So my two cents here, yes open world dungeons are only at nighttime, however Junobot for example, as soon as it would be available as peace, bam ecplipse ... good like trying to do junobot. And another issue is snowballing. Openworld boss drops being decieded by most dps for example if you are ahead you get more ahead, if you are behind you get more behind .. For free to play player that don´t have 16h a day it´s rough. Once the taxes come into play snowballing will get even worse, that problem was appearant in New World as well. Whats the solution, swipe, swipe, swipe and that is the reason why it is that way in the first place, "Can´t keep up, well we have some lucent for you, we only want a LITTLE BIT of your money"
Thing is, benediction has the top 5 guilds doing alliances and camping the openings of dungeons and locking world bosses, they will swap weather to close "Sanctuary of desire." while they bash people in streams/global chat, I don't dislike pvp since I came from BDO, but when they can close a dungeon down or stop people from doing things, it gets old.
I love pvp it’s all I do in mmos but this Zergy dogshit alliance system is terribly unfun it’s not competitive at all no one even shows up to contest them. I want to open world pvp I’m 3k gs and it’s just 40 of them mf every where since it a 280 person fucking super guild
@Rin_Esudesu sure bud tell us how many hours you got. You literally can't get there without paying or putting hundreds of hours into it. You can only do so much every day idk why yall feel the need to lie about paying to win or having no life. The stats are out there do some research your just lieing. Go touch some grass bud
@Rin_Esudesu power level 3500 you getting one hitted to buddy 🤣. You have hundreds of hours into the game or your pay to win and with a shyt power level as 3500 means you just have hours in no money. People are leaving in droves the game dieing cuz of pvp guild locked progression and pay pigs and no lifers. If the game set all pvp situations at equal power level they would not be top rank lmao it's definitely not a skill issue well actually it is they suck so you pay to be better. But your 100% getting smacked kid 3500 🤣 you not doing anything with less then 3900 period or your not facing whales bud lmao nice try
Am on the starfall European server and thats dominated by a Spanish guild made up 4 guilds. It annoyed me at first as they bombarded the pvp zones, but after working my staff/wand build into mid dmg/high heals I was able to pull of a 1v6 last night and now am sat here thinking they're just a bunk of gankers that aren't very good and now pvp as a solo is fun! Would love to join a guild of content runners as everyone has left me to server hop lol
As a ncsoft player since 2006 , i have to say, the same problem persists through this 18 years in ncsoft games, and they don't fixed that in TL, yes, too many clans in one ally kills the servers and later the game. And this time is not all map pvp 24/7 like l2 is, where u can make u party and walk all map mitigating those zerg players and making them left zerg allys if they wanna farm ingame (normaly in lineage as example, zerg can control the boss with massive number of players at same location, but other stuff ingame in all map like exp and the coin farm they can't cuz little clans hunt them 24/7 , makingg them quit zerg , cuz they put in the balance and see that boss drops to feed a entire ally not worths if it take too long to get, since u need exp to get skils and level, and some ppl preffer free farm) so, big zergs are protected ingame from this in TL, there is no any penal to them, and its ez to keep feeding ally nowdays by as example, streamers ally :D. And yeah, the guy of article wrote non sense in 99% of article, but those 1% thats we understands as a zerg, he is 100% right. Maybe Ncsoft calculated those max number of clan in one ally cuz is the start of servers, and maybe in future they reduce, normally servers goes empty and need merge etc, who knows.
I kind of feel like there is some truth to this article and just hear me out. I feel like Throne heavily punishes players not wanting to join a major league guild. You can call casuals scared or whatever insult you want but you need those casuals for a healthy game, after all you certainly enjoy farming them. I don't think it's unreasonable to want to just log in, hang with your guild doing events and what nott without having to worry about a guild rolling up ruining your fun, I think that is the essence of this article.
I agree with you. What I think is a problem with the guilds that are really good is The market price ...they controlling the market price and they are overpricing stuff which is going to kill the game
I think one of the biggest issues atm is waiting outside Sanctum of Desire for peaceful Junebote, and someone starts an Eclipse at just the right time.
They finally released a hardcore MMO I am happy asf 😂 playing with friends in my guild and it’s fun to have to defend ourselves during night against other guilds
In l2 on bartz we had the best leveling spots partially locked down. The griefing of our weaker enemies trying to get into our grounds was the most dun and frustrating part of the game. People were so creative and clever in their griefing.
Yes you can go to open world dungeons during the day or peaceful world bosses but that isn’t the problem.. the problem is you go to the new content like junobote for example and it’s daytime and then you get eclipsed and the guild is gating the new content for someone in a small guild or not in one at all
honestly i like what theyve done with pvp in this game. the only thing id change is the island night time chests. they need to make a way for us to get coop dungeon tokens through pve.
Theres clearly a few core issues that some players might brush off and keep enjoying the game, but little by little players will keep dropping. It's a tale as old as time, and unless they figure out the krabby patty secret formula, it's just a matter of time. Until then, I'm enjoying the game with a pretty active guild and super chill ppl. Without that, I doubt I wld have stayed.
Me running headlong at the conflict world boss just so I can get a tag for loot is actually a lot of fun. I'm really glad the "death tax" is almost non existent.
Guilds are a very clear issue. But for me the biggest issue is I don't want to be forced to pvp for my endgame, I like running dungeons and playing new content when it drops. Some people like pvp and there is nothing wrong with that. I think it would of been better to have pvp focused servers and pve focused servers. I also don't like being forced to do pvp events to progress and finish the main story. I don't mind pvp but no one should be forced to participate if they do not want to. Sadly some pvp right now there is no skipping. As for guilds they should be able to focus on PVE not PVP if they want as well. But big guilds gatekeeping is an issue and creates a huge divide for current and new players. So I agree after the initial excitement has worn off and players see this behavior it could very well quickly lose it's player base.
I think any complaint either side has, whether it's pve players not wanting to deal with pvp areas or pvp players wanting better/more competition, could be solved by having pve only servers where there's never any conflict areas as well as pvp only servers where every area is a conflict zone. As a pve only solo player, I would prefer to not have pvp randomly introduced in the area I'm in. I've only had it happen to me once so far, but I was already done with contracts in that area so it didn't inconvenience me. My worst fear when starting to play the game was the area I needed to go to is currently a pvp zone and then I'm forced to stop playing until it's over.
It doesn't matter how good you are on the game when the 1% is hoarding all the good items for you to make any significant progress, an example of this is the sauro island at night time, if you are in a new guild and you can do any dungeons or bosses with your friends with 0 deaths you are good, but if you want to get the the chests that spawn there (that you need to do more PVE CONTENT) you are obligated to go to pvp zones even if you are not interested on pvp at all, because the daily pve content is very limited, and a big part of the pve content is also locked behind pvp content by the 1% guild ON THAT server, and all of them are guys that play 24/7 and are jobless will never let you progress because your build/guild will progress no matter how good you are, and your build will never be complete because the 1% keep hoarding it all, they keep getting stronger and stronger while the 99% cant make any significant progress because we haven't been playing the game since day 1 or play all day.
The big guilds don't care about the island. Ive been there few times now. Maybe find few 5-6 man groups. But not guilds. So if you ask your guild to make 2-3 groups to go there you should be able to get chests. Even just with 1 group you have a big chance
Also to your sports analogy and the coach being "lets run away" .. There are leagues in every sport, the oldest one Chess even has Match-making-rating (Elo) ELO LITERALY coming from Chess. So if you want to play against others who are "in your league" yes it makes sense to look for a server where you are more on a level with the people there.
I never thought about asking the 280 player streamer guild on my server for advice. Considering the lead has about half a million USD worth of Lucent on their account, I probably wouldn't like the answer anyway. I'm used to slow grinding for gear in games like this so I guess it is fine I'll be forced to do it, but man your server sounds laid back. 😂
I don't think you realise how bad it was I was on the the new servers which isn't the early access one we had three to four guilds come from early access and they're just destroyed the server it's fixed now
Honestly…..I’ve never PvPd and I’m having a blast. And I plan to keep it that way but you don’t need to go to every world boss to get ahead or enjoy the game. Some people don’t get that
Two weird things about this game. 1: This one guy in our guild, continuously gets the purple gear drop every time we do a guild boss. It's not even funny at this point. 2: I literally heard a guild member say yesterday, "Bro I can't teleport back to the fight, I'm out of money" ..... what!?!?!? I'm upgrading all I can as much as I can and STILL have 8 Million.
Problem isn't PvP, it's the gap getting bigger and bigger because they can gatekeep stuff like saurodoma island that makes farming almost infinite for them while the entire server can't access to it.
Literally im gonna sound like such a fan boy but the games almost perfect. Idek whats not perfect about it really but i do know that its not perfect. The more i play the more EVERYTHING lines up and just works and makes sense. Its like it was made by gamers or something. Once you get farther and really learn the AH its truly aggravating when someone says the game is pay to win, like yeah you can pay for stuff but if youre gonna do that youll spend ALOT, or you can actually just grind it out and get the item. Its all about kearning how to play with legos in the auction house
While I agree the game is based around PvP and the guilds are doing exactly what they're intended to do. The idea of "getting good" is just as goofy as the article. When a guy drops 4 grand on the game week 2, buys up full BiS and is full traited with maxed gear, it's less of being good and more of hitting buttons. Eventually that will diminish, but not until they already have a sizeable lead. The top ranked player on our server Bercant has 18k score, 3.5k kills, and the next highest is 10k. He's never getting dethroned at this point lol and whatever guild he chooses to join instantly becomes the highest guild on the server.
I’m all about the get good mindset but not being able to grind contracts in open world dungeons at night feels terrible when under geared. When I hop online and it’s raining and I have tons of sanctum of desire contracts, it sucks when I see there’s only 10-15 mins of daylight left.
Top guilds are whales that played Korea and know the game in and out. In my server crimson, my guid in top 10 at 10 1-9 are all buddies, and when we war with them it's just a gear diff
@@jeffreycomique3464 what are you smoking, throne has the lowest p2w ceiling of any p2w mmo in history. A casual f2p player can catch up to a whale who dropped 10k within 1% of stats in a month of play
I’m in your sever and I agree with you just get good I’m in a guild that wants to switch severs but I want to stay and it doesn’t mater I love PvP and love the challenge so bring it see you in the fields uni
It would be nice to make it tiny bit easier for small guilds, like actually less than 10 people to get some good loot, that are completely f2p players. I love pvp as I come from FPS games but I'm one of those that prefer taking it easy in TL and just enjoy the process but If we're not inside of a sweaty guild our progress is slower than theirs. There should be some middle-ground between top guilds and newbies, I'm not saying it should be equal, but slightly easier for newbies
I think that Guild Wars thing is about ManaWaste zone with the guild event. But pvp events is kinda ruining the game for me though. Like i dont like to pvp due to my high ping, so some zone with pvp events are annoying when i just want to do contracts for said zones. I do however feel it to be better to have like 3 different servers if not 2. PvE PvP and/or PvPvE(Which is the current servers with Peace/Conflict event rotations). Least there arent any PVP only zones as in games like Archeage Unchained, Albion Online etc etc.
I agree with this take but not for the reasons stated in this article. I think that one guild shouldn't be able to make multiple sister guilds as an alliance. But rather 4 guilds who are not familiar with each other, teaming up rather than literal mitosis. It becomes a problem when these mega guilds move to a less cohesive server and plunge themselves to rank 1 and reap the benefits because they dominated on a more dead server. Kills shouldn't carry over during transfer, and the transfering guilds shouldnt be eligible to capture the castle and all the lucent in it. People could potentially snipe this and use it as an opportunity for RMT services to sell the lucent if no one is strong enough to contest. Overall I do agree with uni that it is a skill issue regarding guild cohesion and tactics. But that argument only applies when both guilds are on an even playing field. Same level gear, same player numbers.
These are mechanics that the developers put into this game and are able to be utilized by people who want to be the best. The only problem that I see is people complaining rather than taking action to get better, be better and push towards being the best. If PVP matters that much to those who complain, then take action in the mechanics that are available for you to use
@@FakeUnithere are cases where getting good is difficult when the main competition is a swiper zerg. I currently play in EU and my guild has been trying to improve on large scale tactics but we always get wiped before we can take a step back and analyse what happened. Its even worse when we do riftstones and boomstones cus the guilds we go up against in that bring like 4-8 dudes or even less so its a decisive victory. We even give the enemy a chance at some pvp by arranging 4v4 fights during the remaining time of the riftstone just to get some sort of pvp done.
If players are allowed to do anything, they will, especially if it's cheesy. And no matter how cheesy the play, people doing it will defend it vehemently. 20v1 is fun to them because they win. If these tryhard players wanted competition, they wouldn't be making 4 guild alliances of all tryhards. They just want to dominate.
Agreed to an extent but in my server there's a community of 8 guilds that purely have taken over the server for any pvp boss and that conflict boss is out the question for any other guild cause its 2 alliances working together. I enjoy large scale pvp and don't mind alliances but when the literal top of the server is taken over by a massive community making up 8 guilds just kinda not fun for any other alliance due to sheer numbers and those numbers being already pretty geared, viewed many different people from said guild and majority have maxed traits
I play pvp, im not in a guild but i do all the domination events. I get my ass handed to me by 1,2 or 3 at a time, getting stun locked and killed before i even have a chance to react is not fun. Even a 1v1, can get stunlocked and killed. Yea its fukin annoying but ive done similar thing them. I use burning smoke screen, ice barrage with bind, icetomb with bind and now im using the focus skill (increases mana regen) with the immune cc specialization that makes me immune to cc effects for 9 second when applied, the stun only works the first time its applied after that its useless. The burning smokescreen reduces movement n builds burn stacks while teleportin me 8m away, the ice barrage binds, fixing em in place and unable to atk, if they still alive after that i can use icetomb with bind specialisalisation to keep em bound. The best thing about this is it doesnt matter which skill you use to bind them you can then use another skill to spread the effect to other nearby enemies. Sleep is gd if you have the means to 2 shot em but if not freeze skill with bind effect would do better, even im large scale if you can get 1 with bind then you could quite easily make 4. All you need is a skill that reduces movement and wand/staff has quite a few options for that 1 of which is a rather gd size ground based ability that reduces movement of all enemies in area for the duration. Im not too good at pvp but im getting better, think my last check i was ranked 670 in conquest server. Not too bad considerin, im only just 3kgs and not optimised for pvp and i dont have guild to roll with. As for conflict bosses, i just try get around an into the area close enough to damage the boss, as long as you hit the boss 1 time for 1hp damage you still get the contribution chest.
I think theres a solid foundation but ehats missing is, if a guild enters the top 3 it shouldnt be able to ally a top 3 or top 5 guild, this way the position is alwaya contested and there isnt a monopoly on the game content. cause whata happening at the moment at least in my server is that the top 3 guilds are allied and basically steamrolloling the rest of the playerbase. Also people that complain about PvP bosses are silly however the big issue is Peace bosses in Abyss dungeons are being gatekept and that sucks.
Yeah you could do it for free in the shop up until the 17th. Alternatively you should have a free transfer ticket in your mail that will expire in a week.
The only downside to throne imo is that it isn't solo friendly wish it was like gw2 zerg pvp is huge but if you want to be a solo roamer and pvp wasn't impossible.
There is some problem with 3:10 PVP guild how they are controlling the open world bosses by using the weather skill in certain time frame. Besides that some open world bosses that has the important drop are mostly pvp base rarely see them peaceful sometimes. In theory is the three big guild was in an alliance. Most likely every single Night Time Dungeon or PVP world bosses will be dominated by them most likely. They're always could be a potential Monopoly there.
Not really worried though because the game will either makw those heavy guild ppl get tired of playing or the game will just meet the same fate as BDO and just become another niche MMO and people will leave and wait for Archeage Chronicle since this wont be a problem there.
It’s NOT called an alliance. They are referring to 1 guild making 8 sister guilds and those 8 sister guilds alliance with 4 other guilds each to gate keep content. THAT IS AN ISSUE. This is coming from someone who ABSOLUTELY LOVED PVP! These top guilds are abusing the guild system.
I’m a solo player n killed another solo player during a pvp event. they claimed I was carried by my guild but we’re on console so kid didn’t look at my in game player card
@@FakeUni if it was a stranger and keept doing that to you and the only thing you wanted was to finish the content and go do your rl stuff, you dont see a problem with beeing gatekeept from content ?
I'm not on this game for PvP or joining guilds & I'm still really enjoying it. Sure, I've been killed a few times by going into a PvP zone by accident, or when night falls during a world dungeon, but i just laugh & move on to another PvE activity. IMO, the guilds/PvP can only ruin the game for you if you get triggered by the odd PvP death here & there. (3 deaths in 3 weeks total for me so far) But if they're gating PvE content like some say, that's bullshit & they should be banned for trolling.
Also, I think you're wrong because can't don't make a video where he said that going to other servers allows you to do the rates all over again and rank you up faster. So it's BS what you're saying.. I know there's a 30-day cooldown but Canon did took advantage of that to rank faster
Other servers but early I could straight up transferred to the PlayStation servers no no worries at all. I transferred over to PlayStation at the moment the game opened in the release date happened because I wanted not to play with PC players.
The PvP is absolutely dog water in Throne anyway. Stun lock, get 1 shot without any ability to do anything. Zero skill involved lol. New World pvp is 100x better.
Sounds like a skill issue. You have a block, dodge, a trinket that breaks out of cc and kills that break out of have cc immunity. Need to learn about other classes also not just yours and bait the stun and read your opponent.
@wilazn You're delusional. It's a stun lock game, that trinket is a big grind to get and you can only use it once. The pve combat feels great in Throne but the pvpis absolute trash. Devs need to fix this asap.
8:13 "If you don't like PvP then don't do it"... Isn't giving that option to the player what PA did to OWPvP in BDO, and also the reason why so many crybabies "left" the game?
Epherium really is ruining the game. They have done every exploit. If you are on Amos go to ants nest at night and you will watch them just slaughtering bots which gives them activity points and higher kill ranking. At launch they were switching servers everyday because it would reset their guild bosses. I’m in a top 10 guild on Amos and we always have to fight them no matter what conflict boss, open world dungeon, and they just recently got castle and made the queen belindirs venom neutralizer only exclusive to them. So we won’t be able to do that when we run out.
I know this is about guilds but the problem here is entirely different. the thing about pvp... it is the forced pvp in open maps when you just want to grind or something like that.... while lvl 30 i got stuck for a while not being able to cotinue the main story just because of a pvp event.... i nearly rage quit.... at least pre lvl 50 you should be exempted from pvp.... but the argument "you can just not go im night time" is a bullshuit argument. there are people who like to play the game, cause it is generally enjoyable, but dont have time... full time job and family. most adult gameing folk have 1 to 2 hours a day to play and being locked out of farming your gear or questing because one does not have the gear to face pvp.... yeah..... yeah sure if i log out watch a yt vid or so i am able to pass time till the pvp ends. but for real? if i only have 1-2 hours a day to play and half of it i am not able to play, because the place i need to grind has pvp enabled it fucking suxx.... i will most likely nearly quit multiple times because of this bs. to take the lebron james example. if you have skill level for regional league but only time to play 1 game a week. and the only game you are able to play is against lebron... or play the next game wich is regional league but you need to go to sleep because of work the next day and the promised date with the daughter or a family trip. thats why there is so much hate for pvp events.... the whole segment.... "you choose to go to pvp bosses" if the boss is not always pvp but only some of the time but it is the only viable source of gear.... what is there to choose?!?!?! all the git gud arguments as well as the "just dont do pvp" seem to be from people who do not have an established live, focus thier life on the game (streamer/YT), or do not have jobs.... a challenging experience is nice but forced pvp for everyone is bs.... keep some rules in check. exempt below max from automatic pvp. give options to grind the gear without ever encountering pvp. in general let people get options to not encounter pvp before they feel ready....
You should make a video on how guilds are gatekeeping peace boss...
The fuck?
@@comanderspartan1876 yeah, the point of the article is that guilds are using eclipse on peace times to lock people out of even peaceful content
Exactly this
This issue doesn’t affect me at all but I think this take is potentially a little off.
True, I've played 5 pvp games so far and in every single one there is decked out dagger crossbow player that appears behind my back in a split second, stuns me, snears me, weakens me, almost oneshots me and I can't use any of my abilities, when I have a chance to fight back I need approximately 50 seconds of constant ability casting to kill a single person, and if that enemy is not outnumbered I ain't killing anyone unless it's a rookie just like me that has no clue on what the fuck is going on
LOL now change ToL to BDO and you have exactly why OWPvP and abusive WarDecs were removed... but somehow PvP'ers don't get it 🤷
@@itzmrwolveswhat the fuck does any of this even mean lmao
But they won't because the whales are having so much fun killing people that have 0 chance to fight back and they want to keep them happy so they keep spending money.
really not that bad
@nadirqg Keep playing the game how you want to play the game. I promise you, these try-hard andys will move onto something else.
I think the community is fine with killing lowbies, because: 'they are level 50 so is fair, and I should get rewarded for it', (even tho they get oneshot just as fast as a level 30 player) 😂
Gearing is random then you have to get multiples to lv perks on gear. You could spend weeks grinding and get no luck. Or pay and get it immediately
No blue lithograph um what?
The article is 100% spot on. Eclipse-hunting mechanics is just making people quit the game.
A fix could be to drop guild size to 30
It's crazy how LeBron James is so rich and other casual basketball players are poor.
@@ryuu0013 the difference is, LeBron James is not blocking playing fields from other, so they couldn't practice to get better.
Whether you like it or not 4 alliance equals the entire guild
@FakeUni You are defending something that's cancer AF. There is never a reason for a guild to be that large other than to break a server.
@@FakeUni it snot an alliance of 4 diff guilds, its one guild of 280 people and since the cap is 70 they split it into 4 guilds. Its cancer and shouldn't be a thing. One way to combat this would be to limit the alliances to 1 per guild
Honestly, sounds like they have the strat
Just make you own guilds with 280 players?
Its not like your forced to be just 70 players
The only thing that was a minor annoyance was the calling of an eclipse before peacetime Cornelius...
Oh that’s diabolical
yup same for Junobatoe and kept killing people til the gatedoor close to prevent players from going on the peace boss
i was there for that shit, just barley made it in a portal
Yea same on our server portals about to spawn. Ellipse called in. Flooded from underground wiped the whole room.
I miss the internet from back in the day when you can go on a website and all you see is the web not ads 😂😂😂😂
it was worse back in the day wtf are you on?
epherium is denying everyone access to Junobote in Desire. They pop eclipse and wont let anyone do the peace boss. Its crazy. Where is chonation when u need them lol. I agree with the pvp bosses, but denying a peace boss is crazy.
this happens and alot of servers this game is destined to die with the toxcicity in this game it wont last antoher 2 months
Being able to turn daytime to night time is a mechanic for the kill leader on the rankings. While it's not perfect, I'm glad that this game caters towards the interest of PvP players as the game is much more heavily focused on PvP
PVP focused MMOs never last. Name one thats just as successful or popular as the top 3 ill wait
owned tbh
They are popping eclispe on peace bosses now. And the same guild has all three PvP buffs.
Well that's bullshit
HOW DARE YOU PVP ME DURING PVP HOUR IN PVP ZONES THAT WARN ME THERE WILL BE PVP IF I GO THERE?!
Ya God damn right.
I hope they add a flagging gvg aspect to the game 😆

Devs gonna listen and nerf pvp for the casuals, we all know it

"get good" in this game translates to "get the right drops and swipe that credit card babyyyyyyy"
Not all of that get good statement is true. Some people don't try and aren't good at MMOs. No money can protect a bad MMO player from a good one.
@@Brownie05191 true, but the vast majority of people are mediocre and the swiping will take them to "good"
You swiped credit card?? Sad man! Get better! You don't spend a penny on this game. Got level 50 in 4 hours. And after two days I have almost all purple gears. So get better and stop crying like a green hair woke loser!!
The p2w is overblown. F2p is totally possible
@vernonmcdade1640 you're weird bro.....its LITERALLY called pay to WIN. By the time you grind to a swipers level, he'll he 10 steps ahead. Dummy
Bro wake up... There were whole Alliances that ttasfered from EA and it was serious problem for some servers.
Bro wake up.... They acknowledged it on their socials and came out with a fix that put those players back on EA servers. Read the fkn notes.
Get gud = swipe harder
Recruit the right type of player = find the biggest whales
Fuck cobra Kai man our entire alliance left to fucking avoid them
I love pvp it’s all I do in mmos but this Zergy dogshit alliance system is terribly unfun it’s not competitive at all no one even shows up to contest them. I want to open world pvp I’m 3k gs and it’s just 40 of them mf every where since it a 280 person fucking super guild
This video embodied the youth.
I couldnt tell if you were trolling or being serious.
I was dying laughing during this one, hahahahaha. great job
Facts bro. Pay to win just dominates one hits even the most dedicated free to play players
I am f2p and im 3550 and im killing whales no problem. Skill issue.
I'm starting to figure it out, too! Good on ya and the ppl who try to get thru the mud!
Just disable the Alliance system so the "allied guilds" will have to hit each other to defend areas. maybe quick fix
In l2 on bartz we had the best leveling spots partially locked down. The griefing of our weaker enemies trying to get into our grounds was the most dun and frustrating part of the game. People were so creative and clever in their griefing.
Thanks for the laugh 😂 love it ❤
Yes you can go to open world dungeons during the day or peaceful world bosses but that isn’t the problem.. the problem is you go to the new content like junobote for example and it’s daytime and then you get eclipsed and the guild is gating the new content for someone in a small guild or not in one at all
honestly i like what theyve done with pvp in this game. the only thing id change is the island night time chests. they need to make a way for us to get coop dungeon tokens through pve.
They indeed using macro dude, do your research
Theres clearly a few core issues that some players might brush off and keep enjoying the game, but little by little players will keep dropping. It's a tale as old as time, and unless they figure out the krabby patty secret formula, it's just a matter of time. Until then, I'm enjoying the game with a pretty active guild and super chill ppl. Without that, I doubt I wld have stayed.
Me running headlong at the conflict world boss just so I can get a tag for loot is actually a lot of fun. I'm really glad the "death tax" is almost non existent.
I started on Runescape wher eyou really had to watch your back. It's the charm of an mmo
Try making friends
The big guilds don't care about the island. Ive been there few times now. Maybe find few 5-6 man groups. But not guilds.
So if you ask your guild to make 2-3 groups to go there you should be able to get chests.
Even just with 1 group you have a big chance
Our guild actually uses formations for every fight lol and it works
LOL if by "good" you mean running with max groups....no matter how good you are you can't kill a dramatically larger group.
Also to your sports analogy and the coach being "lets run away" .. There are leagues in every sport, the oldest one Chess even has Match-making-rating (Elo) ELO LITERALY coming from Chess. So if you want to play against others who are "in your league" yes it makes sense to look for a server where you are more on a level with the people there.
mans really glazed over epherium here... id love to see his guild keep getting rolled in 2 months from now lol
Spitting the truth +respect
If you're having fun, that is all that matters!
Exactly there's a content loop that gives you steady resources
idk after my decades of mmorpg, this one is far from perfect. It just reminds me of a typical korean mmo
Server - Chianghone
Guild - The Liberators.
Soon that gear disparity will even out as time goes on
Why are you lying LOL
Crimson is the most balanced server, you have Dynasty, MindGames, Kyoukai and other guild alliances all fighting each other
lol it wouldn't, I'm in kr server so I know, and that's how these asian games are designed for decades. Catching up to whales is an illusion.
It sucks when it happens, but it is avoided if you go somewhere else
@@FakeUni numbers and gear will always trump skill. there's a reason boonstones and riftstones are the best pvp content in the game.
@FakeUni brown nosing zergs is wild bro. I'm surprised you have a viewing base, honestly give aspirin a headache for real!
Didn’t yaull transfer?😂 Www Vid Uni❤❤
THIS DUDE IS BLIND
I think theres a solid foundation but ehats missing is, if a guild enters the top 3 it shouldnt be able to ally a top 3 or top 5 guild, this way the position is alwaya contested and there isnt a monopoly on the game content. cause whata happening at the moment at least in my server is that the top 3 guilds are allied and basically steamrolloling the rest of the playerbase. Also people that complain about PvP bosses are silly however the big issue is Peace bosses in Abyss dungeons are being gatekept and that sucks.
im 49 lvl so just a baby yet ..still havent went through the pvp phase but im guessing it all depends on your server if there are p2w guilds etc...
what his guid is there room to join?
We are full, you can apply in the discord though
We use call outs we have the general 😂😂
You can server swap without making new chars?
Yeah you could do it for free in the shop up until the 17th. Alternatively you should have a free transfer ticket in your mail that will expire in a week.
Please stop saying "get good" on a p2w game 😂 thats weird bro. That being said....p2w here, i like pvp
I don't think he is P2W, I'm pretty sure he is F2P and sells items for lucent because he knows what to do lol
The only downside to throne imo is that it isn't solo friendly wish it was like gw2 zerg pvp is huge but if you want to be a solo roamer and pvp wasn't impossible.
me playing guild wars 2 wvw eating popcorn while watching this lol. It's sad over there 😅.
PvP is overpowered
There is some problem with 3:10 PVP guild how they are controlling the open world bosses by using the weather skill in certain time frame. Besides that some open world bosses that has the important drop are mostly pvp base rarely see them peaceful sometimes. In theory is the three big guild was in an alliance. Most likely every single Night Time Dungeon or PVP world bosses will be dominated by them most likely. They're always could be a potential Monopoly there.
Sounds like real life GG
Not really worried though because the game will either makw those heavy guild ppl get tired of playing or the game will just meet the same fate as BDO and just become another niche MMO and people will leave and wait for Archeage Chronicle since this wont be a problem there.
This is why archage died.
The game worth it ?
It’s NOT called an alliance. They are referring to 1 guild making 8 sister guilds and those 8 sister guilds alliance with 4 other guilds each to gate keep content. THAT IS AN ISSUE. This is coming from someone who ABSOLUTELY LOVED PVP! These top guilds are abusing the guild system.
They did the same thing to New World
I’m a solo player n killed another solo player during a pvp event. they claimed I was carried by my guild but we’re on console so kid didn’t look at my in game player card
Its clear that you didnt encounter the eclipse mechanic
I absolutely did.
My friend is the one who has it and he used it to boot me out of the dungeon intentionally. It was all in good humor.
@@FakeUni if it was a stranger and keept doing that to you and the only thing you wanted was to finish the content and go do your rl stuff, you dont see a problem with beeing gatekeept from content ?
i SAW EXACTLY SUCH A VIDEO YESTERDAY XD 5:50
I'm not on this game for PvP or joining guilds & I'm still really enjoying it.
Sure, I've been killed a few times by going into a PvP zone by accident, or when night falls during a world dungeon, but i just laugh & move on to another PvE activity.
IMO, the guilds/PvP can only ruin the game for you if you get triggered by the odd PvP death here & there. (3 deaths in 3 weeks total for me so far)
But if they're gating PvE content like some say, that's bullshit & they should be banned for trolling.
Also, I think you're wrong because can't don't make a video where he said that going to other servers allows you to do the rates all over again and rank you up faster. So it's BS what you're saying.. I know there's a 30-day cooldown but Canon did took advantage of that to rank faster
"HOW DARE YOU ALL PVP IN MY PVP GAME!!!!! THIS IS MY GAME WHY AM I NOT WINNING!!!!!! WHY AM I NOT PRIVILEGED I'M A TRANNY!!!!"
who hurt you
I think the big confusion is people cant differenciate rpg from mmo
I honestly think they just don’t know yet lol
Masterclass acting 5:12
Other servers but early I could straight up transferred to the PlayStation servers no no worries at all. I transferred over to PlayStation at the moment the game opened in the release date happened because I wanted not to play with PC players.
IM LOOKING BACK AT YOU HARDER THAN YOURE LOOKING AT ME
The PvP is absolutely dog water in Throne anyway.
Stun lock, get 1 shot without any ability to do anything.
Zero skill involved lol.
New World pvp is 100x better.
You will suck at that game to lmao
Haven't touched New World but yeah, Throne pvp is pretty terrible just like the game itself.
Sounds like a skill issue. You have a block, dodge, a trinket that breaks out of cc and kills that break out of have cc immunity. Need to learn about other classes also not just yours and bait the stun and read your opponent.
@@wilazn Nah, it's just bad design.
@wilazn You're delusional.
I am a sentinel on ps5 and i decimate in pvp having people wondering how they always say macro on chat i tell them not macro dualsense 😂
How is this any different from any other PVP-based MMO?
